Called and said "A number has been left to reach (my name) if this is the correct number please have him call back before 5pm tomorrow, which will be Thursday"

I looked the number up and here I am. These companies just pop up out of the woodwork. I am well aware of every debt I owe, so there is no way they will ever get anything from me. Funny how all the stories I've read just seem like harassment and smoke and mirrors to no real end. How are any of these fake bill collection companies in business. Please somebody enlighten us on how to shut these people down!!

I received a call from this number from a VERY RUDE lady who said if I did not return her call before 5pm ( I was at at Dr.s appt. and told her I would need to call her back). They threatened me with lawyer's fees and court costs if I did not return the call before 5pm and that I'd better "take it seriously". and hung up. Is this not harassment and threatening?

Someone from this number contacted my friend that I used as reference for something once.  She called him and told him to inform me to call for some important info.  That's when I googled the number and found this site. I'm reporting them as we speak.

I got a call from this number and missed it so I called back and they couldn't even see my number in whatever system they had and they wouldn't tell me who they were. Finally they said SRC and told them I have no idea who they are..... Then she asked my name.... Super fishy, hung up and blocked them

Ive gotten two calls, both of which went to voice mail, asking me to call regarding information they have that will assist me. Miss Raye both times. Think I'll pass.

Called my cell # but did not leave a message

They keep calling from 4 different numbers and each time say that this isn't a solicitation, it is an important business matter.  Someone should stop them from being able to do this.  I re-registered on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and it still didn't stop them.

They called and asked me to call back to like 702944410 or something about an important business matter.

" MS. JOHNSON" KEEPS CALLING MY SISTER WITH THE SAME LINE, " I HAVE THE INFORMATION YOUR SISTER INQUIRED ABOUT AND WE NEED HER TO CALL US ASAP SO WE CAN GET HER THIS VALUABLE INFORMATION SHE REQUESTED. SHE USED YOU AS A REFERNCE.." HMMMM FUNNY, I HAVE DONE NO SUCH THING AS REQUESTED AND INFO OR EVEN PUT MY SIS DOWN AS A REFERNECE WITHOUT FIRST ASKING HER APROVAL.  THEY THINK THAT BEING SHADY IS GOING TO GET A BETTER RESULT..NOT SO MUCH. MAYBE IF THEY ALL WERE RUDE JERKS PEOPLE WOULD BE MORE APT TO COMMUNICATE.

I actually didn't answer. I missed their call but they didn't leave me a message.

Woman calls and asks to speak to my 19 yr old daughter or my ex wife stating she is from the county and has information they requested for housing. I thought this is very strange so I ask what department of the county she works for, she couldn't give a direct answer. So I took her number and looked it up, of course it's not a county number and instead it's some shady bill collectors office misrepresenting themselves as government employees or agents. Filing a complaint with attorney generals office to stop these scumbags. They just pissed off the wrong guy.

Caller stated she was calling with very important information requested by a relative. It's a fraudulent tactic utilized by bill collectors.

THIS MS. JOHNSON PERSON CALLED ME AT WORK AND I WASN'T AVAILABLE TO TAKE THE CALL SO CALLED HER BACK AND IT WENT STRAIGHT TO VM... WEIRD THOUGH BECAUSE THE MESSAGE ENTAILS THE FACT THAT I REQUESTED INFO WHEN I DID NO SUCH THING

A so called Mrs. Johnson called saying that i was a reference for someone...which is weird because she called my work extension...anyways, they were kinda fishy so decided not to call them back..

"this is Ms Parker calling about a matter that warrants immediate attention.you must call before 5:00 today.".    Message left on my answering machine for a daughter who doesn't live here.  Ms Parker( (probably no one there with that name) sounds so worried in her message.  the company must be training their phone people to be good actors.

these people just send my daughter to the hospital with a chest pain because the idiot stated that "this is the justice court calling" and that the sheriff will soupena her to go to take her to court.  As it is the school that sent her to collections did not release her hours for service paid.  Being that she felt she wasn't getting the proper education she changed schools, because she did not get her hours she can not get her cosmotologist license and can not work in the feel instead she gets treat phone calls with false identification and give her medical problems I will like to know if they will pay the medical bills that they had created or we should take them to collection for fraud and using other identeties (identetie thef) we are getting tired of them getting away with all this abuse to the costumers some one must do something .

left a message at work re: "Court Order"
called him back, he said not a "Court Order" but a "legal matter"
said he worked for Century Recovery
asked who they were representing, and put me on hold (forever)

this mutherfucker left a message on my phone telling my wife that this warrants call back, when calling the number back I asked him what that f*** did he want with my wife and he just hung up! he's a f***ing idiot

This number is for the las vegas justice dept. they call when you owe large sums of money to an agency in town and try to figure out the best way of payment.

I got a call from this number and he gave me the same crap about owing money or it will be turned over to Justice Court. Should'nt that be small claims court. I owed a dentist $1100 and got a bill from Century Recovery for that + $500 colleciton fee. I paid the $1100 to the dentist and refused to pay the recovery fee. Now 5 years later they contact me saying this is going to be filed with Justice Court...isn't there some statue on the time a case has to be filed?

This is not justice court...first off, the number is not even close to justice court. I lived in Vegas and know how this idiot collection companies work. If it was justice court they would not call you more than once, they would call you once then push things off to a lawyer. They do not even sound professional on the phone, they sound like a bunch of idiots. All they are is collectors from Sentry Recovery and they are just trying to scare people into paying some debt they think they owe. I would just block their number. On top of that, if you were being sued or going to go to court, you would get a certified letter stating the facts and you would have to respond, but no one is going to call you from Justice Court, not as busy at that place is. Ever try and call there, you will be on hold forever and no one answers, so find it hard to believe they just have a department dedicated to making phone calls.

left message on someone's elses phone that this message warrants a call back by 5pm and "GoodLuck".  His name is Mr'Kirby and he did this a couple of months ago and I did try to call back, but there was no answer and you could not leave a message.  Now he is calling again.

Shows up 2129 in caller ID. They called my WORK number looking for my stepson ~ call back number was 702-944-4129 I informed them they cannot call a work number and that I am not the person they are looking for and they promised to remove my number (yeah right) ~ so I insisted on the info so that I can send a letter demanding them to stop harrassing me.  The guy tried to get out of it and argued but I told him he might want to comply or get a supervisor on the phone as they are in violation of my rights. He gave me the address as he complained at how stupid it was that I asked. (Really? now who is stupid?)
Best advice is to keep calm and ask for info and let them know you know your rights... they get real flustered then.

A woman called and asked for an employee at my company. I screened the call and she said it was a personal call and she wasn't calling with a company. I asked her if the employee would know her by name since she wasn't with a company. She said she didn't know, she just has a message to call him back. (sounds fishy, right) So I said I was confused as to how he can call a woman that he doesn't know of. She played nieve and said all she knows is she has a message to call him at this number and personally wondered why he was calling her. (knowing she was lying to me) I take a message and end the call. I go to whocallsme.com and it says it is a debt collection agency. I call the woman back and really give it to her for not identifying herself and breaking the law. And tell her that the person she was looking for will not get the message. HAH!

Called a friend of mine's cell, and left a message for me to call him back "This is (not clear) Hernandez, this call warrants a call back from Eric ••••••, tell him to call me at 702-944-4125"

This person calls my friends grandmother looking for... get this... not me, not my friend, but an old roommate of my friend. It's a woman - Sherry Parker calling from Las Vegas - how awful of someone to call the grandmother of a former roommate to find someone. it's sick. really sick.

Left a message for a relative of my on my answering machine, said the call demands, warrants a return call before 5pm.  And then says good luck with that.  I called the guy back to find out why he was calling, he asked if the person lived here and when I said he didn't, he hung up on me.  So I called back and told him he hung up on me, he said he didn't the phone did... yeah right.  Anyways, he wouldn't tell me why he was calling, but have since found out he is a collection agency.
