Same just happened to me. The number was (209) 331-5519 (CA) and the name was Layva Freedy email is layvaf@yahoo.com. He/her wanted to purchase a bed I had posted on craigslist but wanted me to pay $799.00 to his "movers" first in Colorado and THEN I would receive payment for the bed and reimbursement for movers (This was outlined in an email presumably from paypal but nothing was ever put in my paypal account). I called but not answer. The address given to send the money was Lavette Williams 2545 Carmel Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80220. United States. Thank you all for posting your comments so I was able to call this clown out on his/her scam.

Put a add on Craigslist to sell my car when I guy named Dave called text me asking if the car was still available from phone numbers 904-385-9209 and 904-468-68837 said he was def but not dumb and wanted to buy my car was satisfied with the condition just the way it is and his agent company would pick the car up and pay me through pay pal never having a account with pay pal thinking it was laget after setting up my account not bothering reading the fine print so I set up a account when I got e mails from PayPal that I thought was PayPal asking me to send 800.00 plus 100.00via money gram lady at wall mart told me it was a scam so I told him that then he said the money was non refundable and fake pay pal e mails were telling me I would get arrested and FBI was involved legal action could be token against me  do not believe it I got scammed I ended up sending the money to lavette Williams 4455 McGrew Cir. Colorado springs 80911 also the email was davelewis241@gmail.com.    read all scam warnings  slow down and don't make stupid decisions like I did good luck

I flipped the tables and told her I will accept cash only through the mail.  Once I recieve confirmation number I will send her reciept until cash is recieved and verified.

Just got a text from crystal lane,  all they did was ask if I still had the product, but they used the exact description typed on CL.  That alone was enough to get me suspect and I googled the number and found this thread. .  We havent even talked money yet.  Speak of the devil.. the scam is in motion..haha

He even called me (very heavy Indian accent) to pressure me to send the money. When I called him out as a scammer and told him to not contact me again he told me to "have control of my lips." Yikes! I was texted by crystal lane #702-956-8238 last night for high priced furniture I had forsale on craigslist & wanted me to send money via-western union for movers fee to lavette Williams,2545 carmel dr,Colorado spring,co 80910 I tried to look up that name & address on google & couldn't find a such person so I knew something was wrong with that picture they called themselves crystal lane

Was contacted this morning by Crystal Lane about buying an item I have listed for sale through CL. Was trying to send me a payment or receive an invoice through PayPal! I was instantly suspicious so I started asking them questions & requested that they contact me by phone first due to the fact that I had additional questions for them first because of current CL scams. Needless to say I haven't heard from them since! I then googled # & saw this site. Glad there are sites like this. Next time I know to google first before replying!!!

Scammer (Crystal Lane) texted me wanting to buy my furniture and would pay me through PayPal.  I knew something was not right because after I sent the invoice she said im going to send you an extra 375 to ship it for me. I did a reverse number search found out it was in Las Vegas then I Googled the number and found this. I took a screen shot and sent it to her and said fuvk you. You f****ng scammer you better watch your back bi***.

I am also in Florida and this person also tried this on me past night. Pretty persistent, I must admit. They have the scam down pretty good. I had just listed furniture yesterday afternoon and they texted me asking if it was still available. From there they said the price was fine and they wanted to purchase it. Even though I had listed local pickup only they still tried to do their scam using fake paypal emails, etc. Well I have had my entertainment for the day.

Got the same  Crystal Lane asking to purchase an item off of craigs list using paypal. Being a power ebay seller I immediately knew something was not right. But for learning purposes, I decided to play along to see how they do  the scam. Its pretty impressive, I must admit. They essentially want you to respond to a link which says paypal outside of paypal. They say they are transfering $$ to your account for the item and freight but you have to wire funds back to Western Union for the freight before they will have paypal release the payment. Really slick and somebody who is not knowledgeable could easily get scammed.  

Person saying they were Crystal Lane. Wanted my email and paypal account which I thought really strange.
I sent them an invoice for the product. I immediately got an email from service@paypal.com telling me I owed them money to Lavette Williams

Scammer trolling craigslist from Las Vegas, I'm in FL... wanting to buy and pay Pay-Pal site unseen. Go figure. Calls him or herself Crystal Lane   cryslane147@yahoo.com.

This person texted me since I posted an add on craigslist selling some furniture. They offered to pay me via paypal and I gave them my email, then they insisted they made they payment which didn't appear in my account. I googled the phone number right away and this is what I find out. I deleted my paypal account immediately.

This person is a scammer, trolls craigslist and trys to get people to give their emails and paypal accounts!!
