They call me every once in a while also.  Fairfax County should not be using cc companies to collect taxes.  Paying them is like never paying your bill at all.  Surely, residents of FFC could use a job to collect unpaid taxes, etc. in a friendly and professional way.  These people uses bogus names, etc.
They suck!

Unsure why they call me as I don't live in VA or have a Pepco acct.  They call about once a month.  I block them....then forget to renew the block and they call again...so I block them again.  They never leave a message.

This number calls me about once a week.
A guy named Brian Hood leaves a message and says "Hi this message is for you (My real name), this is Brian calling ... I'll be in my office until 8 please call me back"...

That's it. No reason why. No stating who he is etc... Very shady. I answered it one time and a ignorant person answered and said "Hello, who am I speaking with?"

Well they should know if they are calling me so.. i hung up. not answering it anymore.

I got a call from this number and the person immediately asked for my SSN. I asked what it was about and the caller said Pepco. While I am a Pepco custmer, I tried to ask for more details before giving personal information, and the caller immediately became rude, just repeating loudly that they were calling about Pepco and asked "do you know what Pepco is?".

I told them I wouldn't give out personal information until they said what property they were calling about and verified more information. They took this as a reason to hang up. Shady.

You folks at NCC need to get your courtesy machines running again because anytime you are rude to humans that you call to harass or intimidate might just do the same to you or your the company you work for.  Who knows, someone might be able to knock off the phone system you use there or the  network your computers run on.  So write a letter first, then if you have to call leave a message stating clearly the facts you have.  If they are not the facts, avoid being stupid by not making up a story for your threats.  Thank you and may your days be blessed.  Mine are.

These people tried to tell me I owed taxes on my car, for a county I don't even live in anymore, for the period of time between registering it there and registering it elsewhere -- when in fact I had not lived in that county since November 2011 -- and they tried to intimidate me by saying I would not be able to re-register my car again when it came due.  Had no problems registering it where I now live in freedom and from these harassing individuals.  They might be students needing money or just some flippant wanting to get off on unsuspecting tax payers.  I did not then and do not now consent to receive telephone calls from them so if anyone from their "outfit" is reading this, here's a suggestion:  put it in writing.  And here's another:  get your facts straight.  And another: don't harass people, because when this gets paid it is going straight to the county and not to some shadow phone thugs I don't even know.

This was the rudest person I have very talked to.  When I called back to make sure she had taken my number off the list she told me that I was wasting her time by calling back since she had already taken the number off the list.  Whoever this company is should learn to treat people better.  I understand if you have to be tough when trying to collect money from people, but when those people don't own the number any longer, there is no reason to be SO RUDE!

These people lied to me. They tried to tell me I owed taxes on my car, for a county I don't even live in anymore, for the period of time between registering it there (May 2010) and registering it elsewhere ( early 2011) -- when in fact I had not lived in that county since June 2010 -- and they tried to intimidate me by saying I would not be able to re-register my car again when it came due, which was a lie, as I had no difficulty whatsoever.  I did not then and do not now consent to receive telephone calls from them so if anyone from their "outfit" is reading this, here's a suggestion:  put it in writing.  And here's another:  get your facts straight.  And another: don't harass people, because when this gets paid it is going straight to the county and not to some shadow phone thugs I don't even know.

p.s. -- I am on the National DO NOT CALL registry and have been on there for YEARS.  And if you are a debt collector of some sort -- though as far as I know (a) I only have one debt; and (b) you are not them --  this is harassment and will not be tolerated -- you WILL be sued.  Have a day!!!

My telephone number is UNLISTED for a reason.  I DO NOT ACCEPT TELEPHONE CALLS FROM PEOPLE I DO NOT KNOW unless *I* have specifically invited them to phone me (e.g., a potential employer, legal advisor, someone following up on a request *I* initiated, etc.).  So *IF* you have my telephone number it MUST mean you have my postal address as well.  IF you really need to contact me, particularly for a "business matter", DO IT IN WRITING via USPS FIRST CLASS NORMAL (uncertified) MAIL.  I did not at any time, nor do I now, consent to being telephoned and I WILL NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM UNFAMILIAR NUMBERS, PARTICULARLY THOSE THAT LEAVE NO VOICEMAILS OR VOICEMAILS WITH INSUFFICIENT IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION.  Finally, even if you do identify, if I don't know you I am not likely to speak to you.  If you have given me reason to distrust you in the past -- such as inaccurate information attempting to manipulate me -- you will NEVER have a voice audience with me, PERIOD.  GIVE IT UP or you will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
