Very thick indian accent stating he was Officer Mack Peter with the US Criminal Department and that I have an outstanding debt.  He stated the last 4 of my social, driver's license and bank account (luckily account number is old).  He gave me the above number to call him back at.  He originally called from 200-000-0000, then when I told him to stop calling me (I knew it was a scam) he called from 999-999-2112.  He also called my number at work multiple times and said he would have me fired within two days. When I asked who the debt was owed to, he said I should already know that.  Obviously this is just an extortion scam trying to get you to send them money.  I have blocked whatever numbers I can, and otherwise, will just not answer.  He finally gave up on me answering after about 20 minutes of his persistent calling.

just ignore them. or if they call tell them you have already contacted the police and they have all their information.  they will stop calling you.  This is a scam and they want to get all your information and your money.  be careful.

Some mud tongue pig loving arab, Hindi or P*** jackwagon continuously calling from 772-418-8979. Says his name is Dennis Cooper. Asking for SSN, bank account numbers, states he is "States Attorneys Office General".   Yeah, we dont have one of those, "Dennis".

You have nothing to worry about it is a scam and they can not put you in jail over money that you owe. They can only garnish your paycheck. Which that can't do because they would have to take you to court which they will not do. They are just trying to get people to give them all kinds of money on false pretenses. Also they need to send you proof which they will not do either. It's a scam

Got a call/message from this number and the guy speaking very heavy Indian accent told me his name was Officer David Cooper and that there was going to be a case against my name and social security number.  Stated he was from the legal department of American Legal Services and that if I didn't act fast, I would be "behind the bar" on Monday.  So we shall see come Monday.  I have dealt with these people before.  If you ever took out a pay day loan or loan from any of these sites on the Internet, I believe they are getting the information from there and trying to scam you to send them money.  When next they call, ask them to speak a little slower as the connection on your phone is bad, then ask them for the name of the company they are collecting for, ask them for the name of the company they are calling from, then ask them for their company's FEIN number (all companies in the US have to have one - Federal Employer Identification Number) and then ask them for their physical address.  When they ask why, tell them that your attorney told you to get all this information.  Once you have all this information (if they don't hang up on you) - call or e-mail the FBI and give them all the information, including the name(s) of the people you spoke with.  Local authorities cannot do anything, but the FBI may be able to.

Wow!!! Same exact caller, same exact information is being applied to me. They are calling my job and threatening me to pay a Pay Day loan for 350.00 from 2012.

A man w/ a heavey accent has been leaving messages on my work phone and cell phone. He claims his name is Officer Shawn Keebler and that criminal charges are being pursued against me and I will be arrested and fired from my job. The number comes up as 200-000-0000 but they phone number left on answering machine is the 772 area code. Very annoying.

Welcome to the club got the same call w a phony # 200-000-000 then voice mail left thei # 772-418-8979. Said they have my ss# and will call my employers. I will not call them back. But how do u block their #????

This idiot cold called my unlisted phone number in very poor english and broken static and told me i received a payday loan in March of 2013 for $300 and named my bank account. For one, that bank account was cancelled in 2012 so impossible to receive any funds into it. When i told him that he then threatened me that he would call my friends and family and if i wanted to pay and close the case or if he should call them. I went off on him and told him if he called me again he would have a lawsuit of his own to deal with, total scam!

Someone who is calling from the FDIC claims there is a case against me and my social security number but i can tell its a scam because he has a heavy accent. This number needs to be investigated. His number is 772-418-8979. Justice needs to be served.

Repeat calls 50 in one hour ... asking for an employee  .. very rude, laughs, screams, pay the bill ..... keeps calling business emergency line at Tower ... asked to stop and keeps calling and laughing and yelling.

This number called and harasses my company.  They call multiple times in a row and say rude and offensive things. This needs to stop immediately.  They call every few months and call multiple times in a row.  It interupts business and all customer calls.  they will not gice their company name but one caller told a manager that his name is Albert Christianson but then when further questioned hung up.

I just got a call from this number today..... First they called my cell phone number, they left a message and then called my work number,  when I got on the phone he begun to tell me that I had an outstanding payday loan.... I interrupted him several times telling him  that once I tell him not to call me at work ever again, by law you cannot call me at work.. again I interrupted him and told him that he is trying to scam me and told him that if he wants money from me he has to sue me. He wanted to speak to my boss and I wouldn't let him he told me that it's ok he will hang up and call back until he gets my boss on the phone, I told him that my boss is the one that told me about the laws on collection and she will tell you same thing, and your not gonna get any money until you file it in court !,   that's when he got nasty and started cussing at me and telling me to F@#K off and go suck my bosses D@#K ...... I said wow that gonna make me wanna pay you more and hung up.
Now I wonder if he is going to call back tomorrow ???

Same one just called my cell left a message and then called my work place and left a message.  Trying to call back, just goes to voice mail - does not state the company or name which I am calling.  They also stated on the messages I was under investigation (my name and SS #) and then even mention the IRS.   Don't know what's up?  But there should be a way we can keep people like this from calling.   CRAZY people out there!!

I have been receiving the sam phone calls and when I call the number back I always get and answering machine leave a message and no one calls me bakc . JERKS!!! I just received another one today and I to ld Eric Johnson or James Martin or Sam Johnson or whoever he may be tomorrow that if it was that important send me the documents and I willhave my attorney look them onve and that I to have a family member that works in law enforcement and for the federal goverment and I will have them check into this. Received a call from Nick Thomas demanding I send money via Green Dot card for unpaid back taxes.

I just got a call from the same jerk claiming I owe back taxes and to send payments or my property will taken and I'll be arrested.  Asking me to send money via a Green Dot card.  BEWARE!!!!

This indian sounding man called my employment 5 times, my cell phone 3 times..8 calls in one day! Says his name is William Scott & that he is a federal officer, threatening my job-family members & to block my social security number. Just a month or so ago, a man calling himself David Cooper did the same thing. Didn't tie the 2 together until last voice mail said he was going to call my manager at work.

I did call the local police and was told there is nothing they can do. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office and was also told there is nothing they can do because these a***oles are in another country and the phone number is spoofed. It has been a month of calls to my work now.  Very foul language to me and my co-workers, even my boss.  We now just hand up when they call as it is obvious when we answer due to the background noise and echo.  The calls are slowing down...get about 5 a week now.

I have been receiving calls like this for about 2 years.  I found a place on the fcc website to report it.  Maybe if enough people follow suit, something can help to rid us of the scammers.
