The call is from someone in Sterling, VA.  I didn't answer, they left no message.  Obviously it's a telemarketer or charitable group calling judging from all the previous comments.  I will never answer so they can give up on me.

I received two calls within 5 minutes from 703-348-3980 from a idiot in Sterling, Virginia.  I did not answer the phone and the idiot left no message on my Voicemail.  I Have no idea who it is but assume it's something stupid, some creep wanting my money, a scam, a charity I cannot afford, or a political hack who thinks they'll get my vote by harassing me.  I get at least 3 to 5 calls a day from numbers I never acknowledge and I always wonder how in the Hell these creeps get my phone number and keep calling and annoying me.  I'm disabled and it isn't easy getting to the phone to see if a family member, doctor's office, etc., is calling me about personal or health related issues.  These goons are outrageous and I wonder why I ever put my number on the Do Not Call Registry because it does not do one bit of good.

I get 1 or 2 calls almost every day from 703-348-5006.  They do not leave msg.  It is very annoying.  I also get many other solicitations. I have been on do not call list for 2 or 3 yrs.  Why doesn't  it work?

Answered the phone and nobody was there. Tried to call back, didn't even ring, just dead air.

This number calls us up to 5-6 times a day.  I answered and it is some kind of "charity" asking for donations for children with cancer.  I have asked to be removed from their list and they hang up immediately.  Supposedly, this number originates in Reston, Va.

I've received several calls from this number lately, so I just called the number back and a lady said "I have been trying and trying to contact you, this is the Childrens Cancer Network", and so I asked to be taken off their list.  All she said was "Bye-bye" and hung up.  IF they call back, I will report them to the FCC.  That's how far I had to go to be removed from the NRA's list before the calls finally stopped.  I agree, the DNC list is a joke.  For every legit call I get, I get 3 that are like these.

I have this number on my phone 6x s the past two weeks. Please stop harrassing me, not even sure what this number is for.

WE have gotten this call up to four times a day. I have a child with a terminal brain disease and a husband who is fighting cancer... its hard enough taking care of my family and now people calling and its dead air. I shouldn't have to change my number for it to stop. If i did change my number i think only thing that would happen is i get charged and my number still be called at random.

It's a shame that the do not call listonly compasses those numbers that begin with 800. These other telemarketers who are using Cell phone numbers and regular area code numbers will not be blocked until the do not call list or laws are changed to include all telemarketers regardless on the area code. I get calls from this number all day every day even past 9 pm. I live in TX. It's illegal to call anyone in TX passed 9 pm or before 9 am. Got a call on Sunday morning at 8 am!

I get a call from this number 5+ times a day at all hours and when I pick up it's just dead air. When I have tried calling the number back I get hung up on before anyone answers. This is total harassment and I am sick of it.

We have been receiving 2 to 3 calles a day from this 703-348-5006 for the past several months. Each time we answer, no one is there. Finally tonight someone was there - it was David from the Children's Cancer Network. He began his script about the terrible challenges families who have children with cancer face. I politely said "Excuse me David, can I ask you a quick question?". He stopped and I said, "could you please remove our number from your calling list? I am tired of this number calling me 3 times a day." David responded, "Sir, If I do that our charity will not be able to call you in 5 years. Can we call you back next year?" I responded "No, 5 years is good." PLEASE note that as a post above noted the Children's Cancer Network does not solicit via phone. A statement on their website reads - "Children?s Cancer Network has a ?no phone solicitation? policy. We do not solicit over the phone or ask others to do phone solicitation on our behalf." THIS MUST BE A SCAM.

i always give to charities but when they hassle me and don't leave a message they will get nothing

Husband is very ill and on the active liver transplant list.  When no one but he is available to answer it is very painful and inconvenient for him to answer the phone.  We don't know when his call will come in so we go to the phone to answer.  We check caller ID before answering and often have let the phone ring until the FAX tone comes on.  You think someone is smart enough to figure out the call goes to FAX.

same complaints as above....been calling for several days 3-4 times a day. It doesn't do any good to block their calls..somehow they get around them. The Do Not Call list is useless. It is harrassment to what end?   Who would donate to whatever it is anyway?.

I push the button, take the call and lay the phone down until they hang up on their end. At least they get charged for the call. If they get enough of those they'll quit calling.

I have been receiving calls from this number (703-348-5006) for weeks!  Luckily, I have call blocker on my current phone and am able to block them connecting directly to me.  However, there MUST be a way of reporting this harrassment.  Anyone have any ideas?

Recieve calls several time a day....

I get calls from these people 3-4 times a day.  Everyday!!  I pick up, no one on the line.  It's just dead air.  They are driving me nuts...

I added 703-348-5006 to my blocked call list.  I also went to the website for the FCC and clicked on "file a complaint" where you can get an 800 number you can call during regular business hours or you can download a form to fill out and mail to register your complaint.  These calls are referred to as "abandoned" calls which means it is a telelmarketing call that is not connected to a live representative within 2 seconds after you answer, characterized by "dead air".  I have been getting these calls for sometime and hope filing a complaint with the FCC will stop everyone from these annoying calls, from this phone  number anyway.

I have blocked this number through comcast call screening and the call still persists.  Moments before a call came from 202-870-5265.
These people are relentless, and call 2 and three times per day.

Insanely annoying calls with no one on the line. The one time there's someone there we asked to be removed but all he did was "transfer" us to his boss, and then the line went dead. Why is there a do not call list? It apparently does next to nothing!!

Just got a call from 703 348 5006. It's almost 9:00 on a Sunday night!  Called ID showed Virginia but there was no answer.

Its a charity call, they are legit but they are relentless, I have had to tell them over and over I am broke and they keep calling...its total harrassment

I got a call from 703-348-5006 caller I'd shows Virginia. Call went to dead air when I answered. I tryed to call back got no ring and call went to dead air. Heard a click and dead air the same as when I answered.

Received call today from this number. They said they were calling from a children's cancer network. I said I could not help and hung up. Called them back to have my number removed from the calling list. Someone picked up phone and slammed receiver. This happened twice. I can only deduce this a scam to get money for a reputable company would not behave in such a callous fashion.

yes, i received a call to, picked up and got dead air.  called back, got a machine, was placed on hold...and was on hold, and still on hold...and nothing.
