I only call one number with my cell I have not had to buy any minutes till today over a year of service without any B.S ,I desided to get a new phone with triple minutes, load it up today and I get this text to get a free ipad so the answer is my cell phone company sold my number, makes since the cell phone company burns up my minutes, they get paid,they sell my number they get paid, Im pretty sure I can prove it .

got one today at 703-678-1834 just thought I'd add it to the list.  It's a shame that someone has nothing better to do than rip people off

I've had my cell phone service with Sprint for 11 years.

Have had a smart phone for 4-5 years or so.

Have NEVER received a spam text until today...

Same as above for everyone else.

however, what they do not know is that I work for an online
protection agency against spam and have successfully jailed
over 30 people over the past 4 years for spamming.  I have
the person contact info of who this person is.  I thought about
posting it online, including their home number so people can
call him and see how he likes it...

... But this is being reported tonight and I can 100% assure
you that he will not do this again.

With over 2800 complaints at $10,000 per violation, he's done for.

Same story as everyone else. I got an unsolicited text message on my mobile. Called the originating number to complain and got an automated message saying that the wireless customer was not available...

Got a text message from 703.380.6198 with a link to http://ipad4freetoday.com. Have no idea how they got my number.

Got text message today at 8:00am, saying "Get a free iPad for the holidays! ipad4freetoday.com", my cell is under DO NOT CALL  Registry

I got this same thing at 6:27 this morning, and I am also on the do-not-call list! Although my message came from another number... apparently there are multiple numbers sending these texts out :/
And I have never used Craigslist, so I am doubting that's the case here.

They texted me just after 7 a.m. Same thing, free iPad crap. My number is also on the do not call list. I hate this!!
