Getting call from this number, but no one says anything..

Called and asked if I was a diabetic, I said yes and they said thank you and hung up.

Just got a phone call 11/04/10 @ 4:40 pm. guy just said hello and then was silent. Very annoying tactic.

I received a call earlier today (11/4/10) from this number.  I did not pick up and they did not leave a message.  

They called back again around 3:00 p.m. and this time I did pick up and said hello three times before a man came on the line.  It wasn't a strong/loud connection but the gist is that he wanted to know if I (or anyone in my household) was a diabetic.  I asked the caller if he knew about the government's do not call list which expressly prohibit these calls and he claimed that they weren't telemarketers (yeah, right) but merely interested in 'providing information' to me so that I could receive diabetic supplies at a lower cost or whatever.  I told him his answer was NO, to put me on their do not call list, and I was reporting them to the government's do not call list because I believe that they really are telemarketers.  

The funny thing is that when I called the number back, I received a 'number disconnected' message.  Perhaps these telemarketers are now armed with spoofing equipment?
