TSG Enterprises, LLC

301-960-0844

PO Box 710186
Herndon, VA 20151

I located the company and contacted them directly to ask them to stop this practice.  Call and be polite and simply express your desire to not be called.  I'm sure they will get the message if everyone calls.

Received call from 703-596-5610 asking my name and not stating theirs, then silence.  I hung up.  called back.  "You have reached a non-working number for TGS."  Number is listed in Nokesville, Va.

Louise initially pretended not to speak English!  She pretended to be French, but as I speak French this fell apart quickly.  She demonstrated conversational fluency in English, played coy and said first that she did not call anyone from her number, that business derived from marketing was too important to stop, and then when pressed claimed to not employ anyone to make calls and that again, no one had called me from her number.  I encourage you to deliver a polite message, the point is made simply by calling.

Just got as call from 703 596 4577.  Called back and got a computer response saying "This is a duct cleaning company."  I am on a nationwide "Do Not Call" list.  I did not give this company permission to call me nor have I had any previous communicationw with the company.

This is a recording with Caller ID "Out of the area 1-703-596-4577". They call often, at various hours and do not leave a message. When I answer, there is a robocall asking me when is the last time we had the air-ducts cleaned. That is when I hang up. Today I called back the number off the caller id, and there is a recording stating it is the "Air-duct Cleaning Services", and asks me to wait. There is a long silence, and I end up hanging up without talking to an actual person. I contacted FCC.gov and filed a complaint on line. I hope everybody else who is bothered by these pesky robocalls will do the same thing. I believe this is the only chance to stop those calls. I am on the "Do-not call list", and I never gave permission to this company to call me.

Got another robocall from this number, plus someone removed the crossbar from the table in my back yard, collapsing it, perhaps the retaliation I feared. They did rewire their back electrical connection and their electric meter was running today, but they didn't bother to replace the seal/lock on the new Dominion Power meter.

Thus, I took the time to look up the real estate records from the LLC's purchase next door. Sure enough, Y.C. is the "Managing Member", and no Virginia-licensed attorney put his or her name on the documents. The closing was in Washington, D.C., and the mortgage given by a private party, the "Equity Trust Company" out of Westlake Ohio, supposedly as a trustee for the 401(k) plan of a guy linked with both Florida coasts (Boca/West Palm Beach as well as Sarasota/Nokomis) and lots of other places in the USA. According to google, he seems about 53 or 54, uses a couple of different middle initials, attended medical school in Texas but has no type of health care license in Florida (much less at the address he listed for contacts with respect to this Virginia property, a four bathroom seaside home in Florida which he bought for approx $685,000 three months before). Should Y.C. not repay the mortgage per his pattern with his "liar loans" for Maryland real estate in 2008-11, the alternate trustees are (1) an attorney partner with a Washington DC firm known for its defense of white collar criminals (this particular attorney asks to be contacted with respect to this transaction at her home in Leesburg and googling shows boasts of her involvement with Virginia's Republican Party as well as opposition to all government spending--presumably including fraud prevention and prosecutions), and (2) a partnership in Alexandria Virginia which does not show on the tenant list for the address given.

The long and short of it? BEWARE OF PROBABLE SCAMS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PHONE CALLER......

Got another couple of calls from this number and 305-368-8249 (card services out of Miami/Boca) at 3:42pm and 3:44pm on my two phones, within an hour of posting last Thursday.  No calls since, other than as I wrote this online from 872-777-3230 (supposedly a cruise scam out of Chicago), and Monday's reminder from my dentist's receptionist (affiliated with United Healthcare) that didn't show in my non-smartphone's call log (tho I happened upon the voicemail). We even had a minor local Arlington election yesterday! LOL or In my face? Perhaps these electronic thugs or fraudsters want me to know they know both my cellphone numbers,  and/or consider themselves above the DoNotCall list, CANSPAM act, and other laws. BTW, the Jan.31 post I referred to in my earlier post about this number was from 305-368-8157, and I posted for the second time the day before about 417-800-2600 which seems another multi-scam hub (this time in Missouri, tho I mentioned another supposed duct-cleaning number, 703-634-4563).

That same Thursday evening, I received a robocall from Dominion Power about my electric bill supposedly being returned to them. I've only been receiving mail about twice a week for months, despite contacts with the post office (visits, unanswered emails and letters), though that seemed to have resolved when I physically filed a temporary change of address form on 3/20 with my dad's Illinois post office (after finding his house had been vandalized while both of us were in Virginia). Unfortunately, one of his neighbors winters in Boca Raton, and might be responsible for apparently opening and leaving dad's garage door open to freeze the pipes and changing the inside locks (I had been monitoring gas consumption for heat, which seemed to reflect the cold winter). Or the vandal might be the fraudster associated with the now-demolished house next door (no sewerage links and lots of foundation cracks), who bragged about his clout with Bank of America and other mortgage companies, as well as corruption within that local Illinois government and police department. Or the vandal/fraudster might be someone else affiliated with Cross-Country Mortgage (which sent Boca-postmarked but undated letters to me and dad in Illinois that I picked up on 3/20). Anyhow, I received no mail last Friday (the first time since 3/20), and yesterday Dominion Power said it didn't save the returned envelope so I can't present it to the post office. I had received the previous month's electric bill, and the day before the DomPower robocall I received Washington Gas' bill. Thus, I'm a little concerned that the same law firm, Hunton & Williams LLP, with black-hat computer capabilities, has long represented both Dominion Power and Bank of America, and may also represent some of the developers involved.

Or maybe the fraudsters/scammers are more local. On 3/26 and last Wednesday, guys I didn't know took phone pix of me from their cars as I was doing yardwork in front, with last Wednesday's guy entering a house across the street but not looking like the owner. On Monday a "for rent" sign went up on that house, which isn't a big deal since that the same Fairfax realty company has been developing along the block for several years. Still, at church last month I met a neighbor in the same desirable superzip code who had similar mail problems when developers wanted to buy her house, and in that case personally approached her several times insisting that she could move. As for me, the developer/LLC next door (whose front man had a pattern of no-message calls in January before finally giving his name, which googling linked to fraud on Nationwide Mortgage and others circa 2008-2011) seems to be diverting electricity from my house to their construction next door. I told Arlington County about it at the housing event on March 9, and got a callback a week plus later that they were closely watching permit compliance. Like per my conversation with the Y.C. fraudster on January 28, nothing was done about the worrisome dangling electric meter on the addition, which generally reads closed even when I hear power tools inside and see my meter running. Yesterday, Dominion Power said the house next door didn't have power, though a light remained on at the addition's back door all weekend.
After my informal Arlington County report, someone pulled a 3x3x36 lintel out from above my front door, and left a brick against my storm door. Do I need to worry about further retaliation from this scum?

This caller claimed to be an air duct cleaning service.  It was still a Do Not Call List violation.  I reported the outfit to the FTC as such an violation.  Apparently, this outfit claims to be all kinds of different cleaning services.  Also, this scammer never consults the Do Not Call List.  Hope somebody arrests this jerk soon.  This call was the fourth Gypsy scammer I received, today.

Thanks, Hopefully Helpful. I'll try Nomorobo (even the name is catchy). The truth is, yes, the "authorities" are failing us by failing to put bite and back-up into their laws, but the Real "fail" goes to the phone companies. They Could fix it so we could see who is really calling - And Block them - instead of letting these groups hide behind the labels "anonymous", "in-coming call" and so on, but they don't want to because, really, these types with their high volume of calls are Great customers for the phone companies so they play a game of giving private citizens a few tools to thin the calls (thus deflecting attention and the perception of responsibility away from themselves), but allowing the venders, con artists, fund-raising groups etc. to get around most of the protections we're allowed. It's a balancing game for them.

For instance, most reputable fund raisers that call me provide their names, like March of Dimes or NWF etc., but I cannot just block "Anonymous".... I have to block Them by the specific number, and each One may have dozens of numbers, used in rotation. That practice over-whelms any per-number blocking system. That gap could easily be closed by the phone company by allowing the receiving parties to block by Name, entirely do-able within the present system, but it might lose them a big chunk of business. Bottom line is, if they don't want me to know who they are then they Know I don't want to talk to them, and the phone company knows it, and could fix it, but my phone bill isn't big enough to make it worth the phone company's effort to meet my needs at the expense of the bigger-bill scam and scram businesses.

I got a call from this #. A month or two ago, Channel 4 did a story on nomorobo.  Even though we are signed up through the DNC registry, we also signed up for nomorobo (you can Google it).  It cuts down most solicitor calls...we get one ring and that's it.  Seems that a while back, the Federal Trade Commission held a competition for software that would reduce robocalls and a guy came up with the winning entry.  He got the prize of $25K. (He should be sainted, IMHO)  Won't stop the political calls during election season however, because that is protected speech.  So, with the call I got today from this phone #, the phone rang once and that was it.

NBC's Chris Hansen did a piece on this scam-they schedule an appointment come to your home and claim they will clean your ducts for $50. They then find a "problem" and tell you it's going to be $600+ when you complain they call a phony manager who tells you he'll knock off $100 if you let them proceed.  They just screw around for an hour or so and do nothing leaving you $500 or more lighter with the same dirty ductwork.  God bless the c***sucker scammers...

After my post here on March 30, I received two "lunchtime" calls from this number, which I suspect is linked to a law firm, detective-type agency or insurance company with little regard to legal niceties, but a preference for "street smarts" or bullying. On April 1 I answered at home and heard a spiel about air duct cleaning, which stopped abruptly (the caller hung up) after ten seconds when I said "this is an illegal robocall." The next day during another legal seminar, I thought I had shut my phone off, but heard mumbling, so I activated the screen and watched the timer (not caring about whatever service purporting to be sold) until 50 seconds had elapsed, since I didn't want to be charged for another minute.

For what it's worth, before I parked in the shade yesterday, I saw the Colonial Parking employee in charge of a large open unshaded lot checking nearby street meters (and possibly calling in expired ones). Then, as I walked to the lunchtime legal seminar (a half hour before this call), a security guard who had been hanging in front of the Bank of America looked at me, then his phone, then me again before hurrying into the branch. A "Kalinda" type woman (probably a paralegal from the WilmerHale law firm with blonde hair and wearing a black dress with a white collar) did a similar stare at me and bolt a few hours after the morning call on my other line (that I received and spoke about in that other seminar on March 28), and then I got a no-message call from this number on this smartphone as I was driving around Arlington at 7:30pm that evening.

I didn't get a call today (perhaps because I went to an education law seminar, which doesn't involve big bucks like arguing about surveillance technology). Nor will I bother trying to overload their box. I'm sure it's all a numbers and money game with these guys. The question is what's their real schtick?

703 596-4577 calls every day and claims to be calling about a free directory listing. I returned the call and got the duct cleaning company.  I now call back and leave a silent reply on their message box until it will hold no more messages. Pretty soon, if every one does this, their box will be overloaded.  Who knows...maybe they will get a real job, and stop annoying other people.

Although the number of robocalls I've received has dropped significantly since my posting here on January 31, I received two no-message calls from this number yesterday. The first came on my family-only non-smartphone cell line on the donotcall list which I didn't turn off while attending a legal seminar on NSA and other government surveillance because I don't give the number out. Anyhow, the panelists kept wanting more privacy for phone companies and their customers (which by the last panel were identified as "those with the benjamins", i.e. clients with money, including scammers more than us folks on the receiving end of illegal robocalls like this). I stood up to mention this first robocall--and received not only an unsatisfactory answer from the panelists, but also a call from "card services" at 305-368-8244 on the same phone as the moderator ended for lunch. I was especially disappointed by the ACLU's response, until I remembered that they opposed whistleblowers a couple of years ago, in Virginia briefs supposedly written by New York lawyers who ordinarily work for big pharma.

For what it's worth I don't know if this call is related to medically-affiliated fraudsters or thuggish real estate developers because I also got a call from this number 8 days earlier, when I was physically in Illinois at my dad's house, which has been subjected to schenanigans related to bank fraud next door, and more of which I was in the process of reporting when I got the last week's robocall from this number. Coincidence or in-your-face like some of the developers next door in Illinois? Anyhow, my dad developed a dental problem two weeks ago in Virginia and I took him to my dentist, who admittedly I hadn't visited in a few years, with dad's visit postponed due to the St. Patrick's day snow. I didn't give this number out on the paperwork, but I did get a call on my family line from the dentist's office the following day. When I dropped by to get a copy of the previous day's paperwork (as well as complain about using this line), they no longer had the documentation, having forwarded it somewhere. Thus I could only get a copy of their take-it-or-leave it "privacy policy." For what it's worth, i had paid the bill in full and was back at the dentist's for my own teeth cleaning a couple of days ago. I also declined to have the $1000+ work surprisingly recommended this week, in part because a strange guy came in just after me Thursday morning, supposedly with a dental emergency, but who showed no sign of pain.

So I'm writing here at length out of public spiritedness, or annoyance at the attitude of the big law firm panelists yesterday.  Someone mentioned a poll about whether people trusted NSA or google less. Well, I'll put the big law firms and their clients like Level III Communications at issue here at the bottom of the spectrum for respecting ordinary citizen's privacy and rights. The last panel bragged about getting over 160 or 190 co-sponsors on legislation to cut back on DOJ's ability to access fraudsters' emails through court orders, and set their sights of overturning a couple of well-respected Supreme Court cases (except in the "white collar defense community"), Fisher v US and Smith v Maryland.

I wasn't home, but I wouldn't have answered, even if I had been.  I have gotten calls from this number, before, because the posts, here, look familiar.  There was a voicemail left, but their recording was screwed up, so it was just a series of guttural noises that I couldn't make heads nor tails of, and quite lengthy. So much for Do Not Call, as others have said.  I've thought about getting the call blocker units, and then I thought, why should I have to spend hard-earned money for devices when our government should be controlling this stuff.  I know that this solution is futile, but I spend enough in taxes which is wasted.  It's extremely frustrating to be harassed by law-breakers who our government does nothing about.  Oh, but they can spy on us.
