They called twice.  Left message on answering machine once, but it was just fuzzy noise.  Today I answered on third ring and it was just fuzzy noise.

My number is on the do not call list.

I receive 2 or 3 calls a week from several different numbers. Most of the time there is no one on the other end. Sometimes... the person will ask for me, but I tell them they have the wrong number as I don't owe any money to anyone. Lately I have been answering the phone but I DON'T SAY ANYTHING. They end up hanging up after about 10 seconds. Last week a man called to say he was looking for a long lost high school buddy. He also claimed to be part of the 1966 olympic team. He specifically asked to speak to one of my relatives that I have not been in touch with for over 20 years! I told him he was an idiot and to stop trying to get information out of me! These people use caller id spoofing software. The number that you see on your caller id screen is not really the number they are calling from. BEWARE!!!!! Also... I find it helpful to have one of those really loud air horns next to the phone. When they call, I just blow it in their ear for 5 seconds. They hang up instantly. Air horns are $1.99 at almost any local store. GOOD LUCK GETTING RID OF THEM!!!

Got a call last week and did not answer... The voicemail was dead air... Then again just now 4:17pm Central, and the same thing... And about the Verizon thing... I have never had Verizon for anything, so that theory is out...

This is a company that is tied into collections of Verizon. You will see this number when your landline account is past due and ready to be disconnected

I called this number to get answers and just heard a recording that said: "The party you have reached is not answering. Please try your call again later."
