Caller ID reads "Virginia," but their answering system identification is the "Fundraising Information Center" for "Children's Health & Public Safety Groups." We receive calls from this number about every two days or so, & they call from early AM to early evening.  Of course they never leave a message.

Was getting calls from this number a month ago when my husband finally answered he told the caller they had the wrong number.  The lady on the phone appoligized and said she would remove our number from her list and hung up.  Recieved another call last night and today.

lost track how many times this "Virginia" keeps calling. I ignore the call all the time; does not leave any message.

Number has been calling once a day for the past few days.....
Caller ID just says Virginia.

Party on the other end hangs up as I answer the call - apparently I am not the only one getting calls from this person

Keep getting calls. Don't know who it is and why they are calling but they do not leave any message.

Didn't answer the phone, no message left. Caller ID only displayed 'Lorton VA'.

it is a fundraiser for the fraternal order of police. it's a bunch of retired cops whose ideas and ignorant opinions are still stuck in the 1950s. this is why they are rude to women and especially to anyone who has an accent that doesn't involve a "redneck" twang. whoever called the first time asked my mother if she spoke English when she was in fact speaking perfect english. the second caller I handled and was removed from their call list

Second time called today. I wont answer the phone.

Call came in at noon. Caller ID indicated a local number (Lorton, VA). Even though we are registered with "do not call" , we still receive quite a bit of telemarketing/survey calls. Of course, the caller did not leave a message on the answering machine. Most telemarketers/surveyors do not bother to leave a message.

have called several times during the day when i wasn't home..no message. My son answered today & he said a man asked for Eric (my ex husband who hasn't been @ this number in almost 3 yrs.  He told him there was no eric here & the man said ok & hung up

Bout the same here, they asked for my wife like they were verifying that she lived here.  They wouldn't identify themselves or leave a message.

Called around half past noon today.  When I picked up and said "Hello", he said my name in a questioning tone.  I said, Yes, and then the call was disconnected.  Almost as if the sole purpose of the call was to verify that I was the person they had in their list.  Strange.

Person calling stated they were with the Amvets when I asked who was calling and from what agency he responded with annoyance and after asking if he could speak to my husband and I told him that he was not available (he called in the middle of the afternoon during work hours) he hung up on me before I could get further info.

When I picked up I got a computer recording with poor sound quality stating they represented a charity organization and requested I leave my phone number for further info.

i dont know who it is. William and joe. thats it, and called at like 9 am.

Phone rang shortly before 9:00 AM when I was still struggling to wake up in the morning, so I let the machine take it. No message, of course. Caller ID didn't show any words, just gave the number. A Google search indicates it's registered down the road here in Lorton, but no other info.

Guy called, obviously in a 'bull pen" as there were others talking on phones in the background, asking for William (name of house owner). When asked to identify himself he said, "Joe."  When asked the purpose of the call he said a "courtesy call" and refused to give details but kept trying to get william on the phone.
