Been receiving calls from this number for maybe a couple weeks now. Sometimes it only rings once so I'm unable to catch it in time. Finally was able to answer today and yes, it's the Washington Post offering daily service.  It's free...why not!   As far as a Virginia number showing up, that doesn't surprise me.  The callback number given was a 202 number.  My husband works in Virginia, but when he calls me from work it comes up with a 301 area code.

I started receiving calls from this number a few days ago.  I've never picked up because they always call when I'm at work but they do not leave a message.  I too am a Sunday Only Post subscriber and I've been getting mail pieces about upgrading my subscription, so this could be the Washington Post.

Thanks for the info!  I just moved here, and have received Sunday only service for 2 weeks.  Just started getting this call a couple of days ago, several times a day.  Same situation as everyone else.  At least I know who it is and can continue to ignore without wondering what's up!

Is there any way to stop getting calls from this number?  We get calls repeatedly, but they never leave a message.  If we pick up, they hang up!  How is this ok?

703-652-4208 Calls daily and leaves no message. I'm in Area Code 301 (MD USA) Just across the state border with Area Code 703 (N. VA USA)

Yes...the Washington Post would make sense. I'm a Sunday-only subscriber. They probably want me to take it on week days and Sundays as well.

That'll never happen after this cute little privacy invasion tactic.

Anyone know how to turn it off???     Thx, Rick F.

I keep getting calls too!  Does this website do anything to help stop Wash Post from calling or is this just a place to complain.  I've started getting rude to the callers and even that doesn't help.  I may cancel my subscription all together!

Thanks Coffy-

I do not have the caller ID customer calling feature but use the Ident-A-Ring to detect unknown caller.  However, your message validates this was, indeed, a sales call or made my an unknown caller.  Thanks again for sharing and have a nice day.

Recently bombarded with calls from this number.  I do not answer. They do not leave messages. I did call it back once and got what appeared to be answering service for Landmark, a tele-services firm....

Yes, it's the WashPost.  I told them I don't want it.  I barely get to read my Sunday paper and it would just make more work for me to recycle them.

Received numerous calls from them. I used a different phone with a different number and called them back. An answering machine came on and said it was "Landmark" (or something like that) and said they did surveys, debt collection, fund raising, etc. etc.

The Washington Post kept calling our number several months ago.  My husband finally answered the phone, got the spiel on free newspaper, blah, blah, blah.  He told them we weren't interested and don't call back.  Well, they have obviously forgotten because they've started calling again.  Boy, they are SO annoying!

After trying to look this number up and not finding any information, I decided to answer. Washington Post calling to offer me 20 weeks of the daily newspaper for free as long as I continue my Sunday only service.
