Same keeps happening to me???

If you have a smartphone, you can just block caller.  How are companies getting cell phone #'s anyway?  Who is able to give out this list of numbers?  I thought cell #'s were not a listed #.

I keep getting calls from this number but the person hangs up before I can get more than hello out.

This is the number for the telemarketer hired by the Army Times Publishing Company, publishers of the Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times, and Marine Corps Times.  They're trying to sell subscriptions.

Constant calls. no one there. getting aggravating.

They called...left no message. AF Times Subscriber. Will be contacting to ensure my privacy preferences don't allow for marketing calls.

I have gotten calls from this # for 3 years now. They just started up again this year. Never any message is left, and I will not answer phone from anyone I do not know.

Just received a call from this number ... nobody there.

i got a call from this # and the party hung up when i said hello this happens at least once or twice a week. when i dialed the # back they answered with army times publisher, why they call,i have no idea

Sorry for the long comment but there may be something in it for you.

  Also I submit the following comment for almost every phone # I check on this site. It's so tiring getting call after call after call, Alexandria VA or ATPCO @ (703) 658-8380, being one of them. It's the only help I can offer.

  We have gotten so fustrated with all the calls that come in that I turned our ringer down to 3 rings, then off to voice mail it goes. It may seem like a hassle, but if it's a legitamate call, they'll leave a message if you can't get to see who's calling in time. Over the year we've had this #, this system sure has cut down on a great deal of irritation. That may not be the answer for all, but it may help some.
  Here's a voice mail hint; Use the default automated digital voice response so it's not your voice that can be recorded.

  In addition to the above, I have comcast 'voice' and wanted to share the following with others that may also have c-v but didn't know they could do the below as well. I copied and pasted it directly from their FAC page. I hope I've helped some one.

WHAT IS CALL SCREENING AND HOW DO I USE IT WITH MY COMCAST DIGITAL VOICE® SERVICE?
A: When you don't want to be interrupted by certain callers, Call Screening allows you to create a list of up to 12 numbers that will receive an announcement indicating you re not presently accepting calls.
To use Call Screening:
Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Press *60.
A menu of options will guide you in managing this feature. The prompts will enable you to activate and deactivate the feature as well as add, delete, or review the numbers on your list.
To cancel Call Screening:
Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Press *80.
When prompted press 3 to turn the feature off.
Note: When creating your list, enter the area code plus the 7 digit number for both local and domestic long-distance numbers.

This is not 'the' Army Times. This is a calling warehouse that was hired by Army Times to contact subscribors. BUT it is also hired by many different companies to do their phone solicitation work - sometimes banks, sometimes college loan departments, sometimes newspaper subscriptions. Just because a legitimate company hires them for their service, does not make the phone solicitors service legit. They are a ruthless, unethical, and unprofessional organization and the Army Time and the Marine Corp Times are NOT getting good value for their money.

The phone rings and when I pick up no one is there.

This telephone number, 703-658-8380, is Army Times newspaper. I called the number and a voice identified the source and asked if I wanted to leave a message.
I subscribe to Army Times and it is a legitimate number.

I seem to get calls from this number everyday. Like others I get hung up on as soon as I answer. It's really start to irritate me. What's funny is that this is a brand new number and I have hardly given it out.

An Update to my previous comment.  They tried calling me tonight and this time when I answered they just hanged up.  I'm definately in agreeance that whoever is actually generating this call is fraudulent.  BE CAUTIOUS!!!

My subscription ran out and these guys are persistant to say the least in trying to get me back.  They call me everyday.

Received phone call from this number asking for specific information on who lives in my household that is military.  Claiming to be selling military newspapers?  Too strange for this citizen.  Told not interested and hung up.

I KEEP GETTING CLL FROM TIS NUMBER TOO, SO IN MY CELL PHONE I "SAVED" THE NUMBER BUT I GAVE IT A NAME "BAD NUMBER" SO WHEN M CLEEL PHONE RINGS, I TAKE A LOOK AND SEE THAT IT IS FROM "BAD NUMBER" AND DONT ANSWER IT.

When I found out it was related to telemarketing from Army Times i called their customer service 800-368-5718 (you have to go through the subscription dept.) and asked not to be called from that number and related that folks are upset about their telemarketing practices. They said they would remove me from the list, so we will see.

I get calls from this number at least once each day.  Never leaves any messages.  I see some of the postings that says Caller ID shows Military Times.  My caller ID only shows that it's from Falls Church, VA.  I subscribe to the Military times and phone number in newspaper is different.

This number keeps calling me over a thousand times a day i answered it once said hello there was havy breathing then they hung up. this number keeps calling me like they have nothing better to do. any ideal how to stop them from calling?

they've called the house twice in the last 2 days and no message on the machine... really wished they would get the hint...

This is the telemarketing subsidiary of Army Times Publishing....they keep on calling my number three times a day..WTF

This number calls a couple times a day at different times for the past month!  I never pick it up (caller ID), but the display says it is from ATPCO.  They never leave a message, but always hang up AFTER the machine has started the recording.  In other words, automated calls generally disconnect once they realize it's an answering machine - but this one doesn't disconnect until after the machine has gone through it's message.
