Area code 703 is okay (northern Virginia) but not 707-703

did an accidental call to 911 from my phone in anaheim and this number called me back

703-703-7033 is a number that shows up on caller-id when the ANAHEIM POLICE DEPARTMENT is returning calls.  If you have questions regarding this, call their non-emergency number at (714) 765-1900 and they can clarify dispatch procedures in regards to complaints of response times for calls for service.

For those that critize the work of a 911 dispatcher, I challenge you to contact the Anaheim Police Department and request to do a "sit-along" during their weekend graveyard shift.  Then you will see how busy they are and the amazing job they do with so little resources for a city that size.

I have been getting calls from this number and the person says he's from the aneheim police department. I never called 911 or police department. Its been 3 consecutive nights that Im getting calls from this number. Can someone tell me what is this phone call about.

I just got the same call fro they aid the Annaheim Police dept asking if i had an emergency and they said my cell numbe had just called 911 but i live about 7 hours away and my phone has no record of calling 911 on it. I had just finished talking to a friend who lives not far from there.

Irony?  Did you think to call them back to tell them the party had stopped and they were no longer needed?

The irony is, I call Anaheim police at 2am about a loud drinking party in Anaheim cuz I am trying to sleep. They never come, the party finally stops after 3.  Now I van finally sleep and the this crazy number calls me and wakes me. Police asking if the party is still going on?  Rude! Just like the partyers. Next time you call the Anaheim police, just tell them NOT to call back to check.

yes, i called yesterday 10/23/10 several hrs. later got a call from this number it is definetely police Anaheim.  Sorry, it was not ur lost lover LOL.

IT IS RELATED TO ANAHEIM POLICE DEPT. THEY ARE HAVING TECH. ERRORS ON THE PHONE SYSTEM.  I CALLED POLICE

THIS IS YOUR DRUNK NEIGHBOR.  I HAVE CALLED THE PD ANAHEIM, HAVEING TROUBLE WITH MY TEENAGE SON.  I ALSO CALLED POLICE TO STOP UNDERAGE TEENAGERS DRINKING ON MY PROPERTY SORRY IF SOME HOW YOU WERE ALL CALLED.  WILL REPORT TO PD ABOUT THE TECH. ERROR.

I got a call from that number 703-703-7033 about an hour after I called the Anaheim PD.  Must be them.

What is wierd is that I had to call the Anaheim PD tonight on my drunk neighbor and the number 703-703-7033 called me... I did not answer because I don't answer numbers that I don't know. Anyway, after reading the other posts here, it seems to have something to do with the police departments. I tried to call it back but the message stated that the call cannot go through...

I agree this is definitely a scam. I was at an expo in Anaheim at the convention center. I was walking around with my work cell phone in my bag when it started to ring. I check it and didn't recognize the number but b/c I was at the expo I thought it could be one of the many vendors I was supposed to meet with. They said they received a call from me and was checking to see if I was OK and they said the were the anaheim police. I thought it was a friend joking around with me so I told them "Haha, that's very funny". They repeated what they had just said, so I thought maybe it really was the PD so I said "Sorry, no I didn't" and we hung up. I kept thinking about it after. I always lock my cell phone so that it doesn't mistakingly dial anyone and I checked my call log and I had no calls out to any random numbers. This is how I know it was a scam. So DO NOT answer this call.

This is a SCAM..don't answer any calls from the 703 Area Code!!!  Sometimes when I see one coming in I will answer "Police Dept"...they freak out and hang up...they are trying to get unsolicited listing in some bogus phonebook...

Got a call from this number at 1:15 a.m. Guess it was in response to the 3 calls to the anaheim p.d. concerning the party going on for 7 hours straight!!!!!

I too just received a call from this number 703-703-7033.  It said VIRGINIA CALL.  

Its indeed the police now that I have come here to read the previous msg.  I have a real crappy cordless phone. It just disconnects without notice.  And although it disconnects, it renders my entire phone line useless for about 5 minutes.  I was in the middle of a 911 call and it disconnected.  I am in Anaheim California.  And coincidently, we have a friend from Virginia in town that we are too meet up with soon.  I so thought it was him.  I at this point was already on my cell phone calling 911.  And the house phone rang with that number and I said I'LL CALL YOU BACK.  I didnt put the house phone to my ear.  I had the cell to my ear.  I just told the person on the house phone I'll call you back.  I thought it was our friend.  They called back 3 more times.  I was mad!  I kept telling my friend I'll call you back.  When I did call back the number did not accept calls.  I could hear someone yelling at the other end of the phone.  The police!  But I didnt take the time to listen as I had the cell phone to my ear.  They must have been panicked, as I called the police because there were 2 kids outside with guns!  

Anyhow...  it must be their way of calling the house in distress.  I guess this is good.  As if the call did come back in as 911 or the police, and the bad guy answered...  it could have been a bust.  

Such a coincidence for me to be on the other end of the USA and to have a friend from Virginia in town.

act i got call from this number they were telling me we are from police departmant n we got yr complaine so but when i checked my area police depart number then it dident match ...So can you please tell me whats a problem ?
