One of a half dozen Virginia-based calls I've received of late. One was from an invalid area code, 439, which immediately made me suspicious. So glad, from what everyone else has posted, that I never pick up on calls whose numbers I don't recognize.

Yes!  The caller was definately offshore and assured me that he was not a solicitor.  He just wanted to give me my new auto insurace rates.  I asked three times if I was going to be solicited and he assured me I would not each time.  In the past 48 hours, my email and cell phone are blowing up with solicitations from every insurance company and resale car company on the planet.  Both my home phone and cell phone are on the do not call registry and I have reported them to the FTC.  For those of you that are in the same situation, the number to report them is 888-382-1222 or you can file a complaint at www.donotcall.gov.  Please do so as they are fined heavily for this blatent disregard of hte law.
