When you get calls like this report them immediately to FTC (Federal Trade Commission) at 1-877-382-4357.  This is referred to as "spoofing caller i.d."  Congress passed a law in 2011 charging anyone who does this $10,000 per day w/ a maximum fine of $1,000,000.  How do I know?  This was our number that was stolen and that you all are referring to.  WE had nothing to do w/ this.  FTC told us that this is very prevalent.  It's a scam - probably from outside of the country - using software to "mask" their number & it's a fraudulent company and is a form of identity theft.  They told us that our number was just picked at random.  Trust me, what it put us through was as awful as you people receiving these calls.  In the future, please notify immediately the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 and report the calls.  That's the only way they can investigate this problem.  Thank you so much.

Just got a call on home phone.  Picked up phone but didn't say anything.  All kinds of chatter and background noise.

Since I have registered both cell and home numbers with the DO NOT CALL registery (which is a BIG joke), I believe the telemarketers are getting our numbers from one/all of the following:

TransUnion...Equifax.....Experian....and the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Where else?  I know the insurance companies buy them from TransUnion.

Why dont the  Fcc put a stop to calls like this. Who knows what these people are capable of doing.

I have previously received calls from Vienna, VA but no name shown on the caller ID. A voice mail message is never left.

I received this phone call and whenever I answered, you could not understand the person on the other end due to all of the static.  Whenever I tried calling the number back, it was "disconnected"???

They called and stated that his was for medicaid and they can lower my rate.

Receive at least 2 calls a day from this number never leaves message so do not answer and from what have read here not going to - there should be a way to block this idiot  so not have to bother looking to see who calling when he does

I kept getting calls from this number, which the internet says is a lawyer named Dennis M. Dayton in Virginia, but when I answered finally, a guy said he was from senior services and started questioning me about my medicare insurance. I said I wasn't interested and hung up. I don't know if he is pedaling medicare supplement insurance or if it is a ruse to get personal info.

Received a call for an insurance survey from "Alex", told him I wasn't in the mood to take a survey, he called me an "Ignorant Bi***" and hung up. Voice was accented.

The funny thing was that I don't have an high pitched voice and am a man. Tried calling back but the message was that the line had been disconnected.

Lots of calls. One every hour for about 4 and no messages left. Call back and it says disconnected.

This is a lawyer, Attorney Dennis Dayton in Vienna VA, according to other sites.  I get at least one call a day on my cell phone, including weekends.  I don't answer, and no one ever leaves a message  If they have legitimate business with me, they have my address or they can leave a message!
