This guy is a scam!! Said we owed money from a 2004 trip to vegas for a trip to Orlando. I never signed or agreed to anything. Told me that it was going to collection. I told him to SEND IT! Haven't heard anything else. I really hate these people.

Darryl also enjoyed making prank phone calls to upset consumers late at night.  He knows how to tell people what they want to hear...  This may not help but at least you might know more about who you are dealing with.

I saw the name Darryl Toffan in one of your earlier posts.  That whole family has had scams going for years... Grand Rapids, Michigan.. East Lansing..St. Louis. Evansville, Indiana..just to name a few cities.  Darrl graduated from Parkway East Highschool.. I believe his 30 year class reunion is coming up and they have his yearbook photo online.  Last time I saw him he weighed over 300 lbs.
In the 80's the Toffan's were selling solar panels for $10,000.. come in and get a free ceiling fan or weed eater to just listen to our presentation.  They had several "fake" toll free numbers to my house in St Louis.  I was paid to answer the phone as a state run agency in case any of their consumers needed verification of a tax credit or references. They would take the money and skip town... people were left with non working solar panels, plus consumers owed thosands of dollars. Darryl has several social security numbers under different names.  He enjoys "hammering" people with his sales pitch until they cave in.

I am SOOOO glad I found this page!  my hisband and I were ALMOST scammed into believing that we won a trip to see the Cavs in the playoffs and found out the whole thing was fake and that it was all about going to hear about their timeshares and that the whole thing is fake and we win NOTHING! I have been investigating these companies and have acquired a lot of information on them. They seem to know how the BBB works and appear to constantly work on getting their rating above F. I have watched their rating change as many as 5 times in one day. Adding your complaint to the BBB may help slow them down. They may insist on handling it outside of BBB, but I would keep it inside of the BBB so they can see what these companies are doing.
The second thing these companies seem to be doing, is pursuing new groups of innocent victims. I have had all of the contacts from these companies listed here contact me demanding payment. They have already accused me of acting fraudulently and told me that I would be turned into collections back in November. I think they know they can get into trouble by submitting these things to collections, because they still haven?t submitted my so called account to anyone.

We received the same phone call, and denied it all. The fact they wouldn't send a bill or documentation was a red flag.  It was believable and frightening since they had all our information.  We filed complaints with every agency we could. We could not find record of the dates they said we stayed in Las Vegas, so wrote to the hotel for help.  The hotel verified that the trip actually happened a YEAR before Travel Wise told us, and the reservation was paid thru Leisure Time Travel.  The Riviera thinks that someone may have confiscated some information from the Travel Time data base.  They suggest contacting your local district attorney or scam dept. to file formal complaints.  FILE COMPLAINTS--THIS IS A SCAM!

The same above happened to me as well, yesterday, and stupidly I was bullied into paying. The thought of it going to collections and ruining my credit was awful to me, so I paid. I am supposed to go to Anaheim for a timeshare presentation.  I will contact my credit card company and dispute the claim, but what rights do I have, since I gave them my credit card number?  What will happen once I file a dispute?  DO they contact travel wise?  How does all this work?  They did have some personal info. on me, as well, which made it more believable.

There name is First CLass Travel Wise from Florida and they are scamming people into believing that they owe this additional money.  I received the call and they told me if I didn't pay an additional 433.88, they were going to put it into collections and they would sue me for all the back interest at 16.99% in addition to the court fees, so I would owe them over $1200.00 the following day!  They call at night and do not allow you any time to see what they are talking about.  They have also threatend me with criminal charges!  They are very forceful and try to scare you into giving them more money.  I didn't use any trips through them or go to their tour, that's why they say I owe the money because I DIDN'T USE THE VACATION! How rediculous!

I'm glad I found this message!!  This scam was pulled on my parents yesterday from the same number.  We went to vegas on a discount timeshare seminar scam in 2004 and this guy calls up and said my parents have to take 2 more trips to honor there agreement or pay $800.  My dad told him to screw off and the guy said he would take them to court.  I've been searching the internet for his name and number, so I could put my dads mind at ease.  Thanks for posting
