My God! He keeps calling me too! and from different #s. Also asking to record some cd discs for him. I don't pick up the phone. He calls almost at the same time, around 9pm.

Artem, Leo, is a very special young man with mental disabilities, his is OCD about dvds, Russia, beach and pool. We have been talking to him aback and forth not to call people. But he does not understand. If you ask him politely not to call you ever again and eliminate your number from the List. He is not dangerous and not a MANYAk. He is just a 43 year old with 5 year old  development. Please excuse my friends behavior.

Leonid is my friend, he is a nice young men but he has OCD about Russian language and DVD, Beach, swimming pools.If you answer to all his questions , he will leave you alone. Please also tell him to eliminate his list, he will never will call you again. He has mental disability.

I got call from the same number two days in row.And he is calling to my cell  and home phone asking about dvd.I am a busy person and its really bothering me

He calls me 2 days in row ,at the same time around 10 pm. with the same question if i can burn CD/DVD.I explained hit already that I am not doing that but he continues. doesn't he have anybody to take care of him ? if he is mentally disable he needs somebody 24/7 around him , taking care of him, or sigh him up somewhere where he can meet new friends , I don' t think calling people is a good idea ,

We have been receiving calls from the same guy, same phone number and with the same story behind - Russian store etc. He doesn't react requests to stop bothering people, and his speeches go far beyond 2 minutes. It to hang up, he'll call you back. If you are a busy person, it can be really bothering. I think that, may be, "Leo" is this same person, as he defends the "prankster" so passionately? :-)) I don't believe that the guy is that weird. People with disabilities usually don't have free access to the phone without control. If they have mothers, fathers, chaperons, nurses etc., then those people are considered responsible. I am thinking about some serious inquiries.

Anya, I believe that he never calls back once a person tells him not to call any more. I will talk to him again to stress that point. Believe it or not he actually met people this way before. Other than that, what do you want me to say to him, "Stay at home, don't call or talk to anybody or go anywhere because no body wants you to bother them"?

Should we lock people with mental disabilities away so that we can pretend like they don't exist and never have to deal with them? They are people just like me and you and want the same things, friends and communication. Like I said, if you do not wish to help him just tell him not to call you back and he won't. Simple as that, how much does a 2 minute phone call bother you?

Can't you talk to your friend and his so he'll stop bothering people? Please?

Hello everybody. The person that has called you is my friend, whose name is Leonid. He has autism and recently moved here from Russia. As he is autistic, this is the way that he meets people and finds friends that also speak Russian, by going to Russian store and getting the business cards off of the board there.

I completely understand that this may seem like a weird call to receive, but I can assure you, the only thing that Leonid is looking for is to meet people and make friends. As you may know people with mental disabilities do not have many.

If you are not interested in helping him you can just tell him that you are very busy and ask him not to call you back. Again, I assure you, that there is absolutely nothing to worry about here. Thank you for your understanding.

Got a strange call from this number - very weird! Requesting whether I could burn DVD for him.

Constantly calling me asking for services I don't do. Although I told 1000 times I don't do that keeps calling me more and more! Sick and tired of it. I told him I am calling police next time.

I spoke with him at length yesterday.  The poor guy is in obvious need of psychiatric help but, most likely, not dangerous.  He lives with his Mom but wouldn't call her to the phone.  Police won't deal with this issue, so the only way to stop his calls I'm aware of is to arrange it with your phone company.

I've been receiving calls from this guy for months about the CDs/DVDs. How to report him?

Same as above. He said "My name is Lyonya". Asked to burn him some CDs.

Received the same type of call from this number.

Got calls twice today with male caller saying in English "I only speak Russian, do you speak Russian?"  I hung up.  Is this some kind of phone phishing scam?

I got his calls a few times. He refers for Maryland Russian store as well.
Asked for swimming pool as well and some other help.
A very annoying guy. Looks like some kind of maniac. Be careful.

Just got a call from this number... The man says he got my number from Russian store. Asked me if I could take him to a local indoor swimming pool... Really strange person. Yes, he also introduced himself as Lyony.

Same thing happened to me: calling to my cell number and stating that got my number in Russian store... Talked about going to Baltimore, to the beach, buying books... The most wierd and alarming call I have ever got.

I have receved the call from this number asking me about the service i don't do and claiming he's got my number from the Russian store. Even though i have got this call only once - the man has addressed me by my first name (which is not on my voice mail greeding -so must have knew my name before hand) and wouldn't give up on the idea i will help him with his acquire somehow. My first responce to him was that he's deffinitely  got the wrong number, wrong person, and i don't do the services he's looking for.
However he asured me that he has the RIGHT number?!?!  :? "WHAT?? I am telling you, you don't.." At very least it was the strangeist boarder line creapiest call I have received yet.
