I got a couple calls from a rude middle eastern man claiming that I took out a loan and didn't pay it back and that I was being sued. He said that in order to stop the proceedings of the case i would have to pay $750. He couldn't tell me who i borrowed the money from or how much the loan was for. He couldn't tell me who he worked for, He told me he was an attorney then he told me he was an officer. He is a liar and a fraud, but he knew all of my personal information.

I got a call from someone that presented himself as "Officer MacWilliams" with a heavy Indian accent who then transferred me to someone named "Officer John Brown" that supiciously sounded like the same person. He immediately began to threaten me, said he was "holding" my Social Security number and had my former bank account number. He read of my SS#, and gave names of several people I know. He also had my address, email, and work location. He told me repeatedly to "shut my f***ing mouth" and that he would be going to my job to have me arrested. This was his response everytime I asked for information about what he was calling about. The little bit I got was that it was about a debt, a payday loan (which I have none) that was charged off. I did hear "Cash Advance" but I don't know if that was the name of the company or what. This was the first time I answered a call from them but I have received voicemails in the past threatening the same thing & to call them back at 704-257-4355.

I have received several calls from a man with an East Indian accent.  They have called my mother's house, and my work.  He says he from US crimes and billing recovery.  He said his name was Officer James Johnson.  He has left several messages.  I called the number he left and when someone answered they just said "Hello."  I said who is this?  And he said some name but I couldn't understand it.  Then I asked who do you work for? And he said what?  Then again I asked, "Who do you represent?"  and he hung up on me.  I called back and he wouldn't answer the phone.  I kept calling, and finally he answered, and I said, "who the f#ck is this?"  and he asks, "why are you calling?"  I said, "you called me."    He told me to call back and listen to the answering machine.  That it would tell me what I need to know.  So I did, and the dumb s**t answered it and said hello.  I yelled and said, "I'm suppose to be listening to some recording, but you answered it you dip s**t."  And he hung up on me.  But I'm still receiving messages at work and my mother's.  It's a scam.  F#cking a**holes need to get back to their dirt and blow themselves up and leave us americans alone.

A gentleman of middle eastern decent called me saying he was an officer of the "Federal Investigative Authority" and that he was going to press charges on check fraud and 2 other things. I hung up on him thinking it was a scam and left it at that. But he had the balls to call my brother saying I need to call this officer. Before I called Mike Capp back, I told my local police since the calls he was making from the 707 area code were being routed through a local number where I live. Then I called him back, and before he could get a word out I told him if he has a civial law suit to send me the affidavit so my attorney could see it and call him back, I also told him that I told the police and that he should be expecting a phone call from them as well. In which he said... "Bring it on" and hung up on me. I guess you need to be more threatening then what he is with you. They prey on fear. Just tell em to F**K OFF and the will leave ya be.

This guy "David Adams", who has a really thick middle eastern accent, from the "Federal Investigations Authority" has called my office 4 times in the last 2 days. I work for the Government and asked him all 4 times to NOT call my office anymore. What should I do? Do I alert the police? I asked him what it was regarding and he said an owed debt...I dont have an owed debt!

Oh man where do I begin this indian guy by the name of officer james johnson keeps calling looking to get money saying I owe money. This guy does not seem to be too smart because the accents and the name do not match. They are scammers and I told him I work for the US ARMY as a soldier and federal employees are off so why is this guy working. He soon realized I was on to his scam and said he would call another time. Do not pay any of these scammers anything. He claimed that this is not a company and he worked for US crimes and prevention. So I got him on the federal holiday and his fake accent. He even tried to play it off that he had a cold, but the accent is unheard of. I like to punch him in his right eye keep harassing me.

This happened in our office yesterday. "Officer James Johnson from US Crime" (who sounded more like "Apu" from The Simpsons, frankly) called and asked several people if they knew a certain coworker who had "a legal case against them."  I talked to the person he named a little later on and learned that she had gotten a threatening call from "James" that same morning. He had threatened to have her arrested if she did not pay a large sum right over the phone.  Fortunately she was too smart for that.  I have alerted employees of the scam and told them to take down any caller ID information should he get them on the phone so we can report it to the police.

"James" strikes me as a pretty dim bulb I must say.  Doesn't he know people haven't gone to jail for owing money in the US for a couple hundred years?

They just called mine, happily my staff screened them.  They said they were with a FIA Federal Investigation Agency.

Jesus, really?  That's the best they can come up with?  If they harass your phones, put yourself on the DNC list.  If they continue to call you can let the FTC know about them.  The love following up on these as they can fine the hell out of them.

These guys were featured on 60 Minutes.  They got their information by hacking into Internet sites, and they threaten lawsuits against the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.  They speak with an Indian accent, and they claim you will face "harsh legal action" unless you send them between $5000 and $1,000.  They are total idiots because their name does not even make sense:

They use names likeSteven Smith and John Conner but their real names are probably something like Mahamanda Yogananda.  They can barely speak English.

They use various call back numbers including 347-844-6701 and 718-766-7916.
Turn the tables on them.  Call them back, ask for Majabibi, waste their time so that they cannot make money with scam calls to extort money from honest people who may get frightened or confused
.THESE CALLERS ARE Scammers masquerading as debt collectors and law enforcement officials have terrified consumers with threatening phone calls and bilked them out of thousands of dollars, officials with the West Virginia Attorney General's Office say.

Prosecutors said that the scammers, who speak with heavy foreign accents, are known for repeatedly calling people at home and at work and threatening them with arrest if they don't repay supposed debts -- debts that, according to West Virginia officials, don't actually exist.

The scammers operate under names such as U.S. National Bank, Federal Investigation Bureau and United Legal Processing, said West Virginia Assistant Attorney General Norman Googel.

The callers also have invoked the names of actors Denzel Washington and Steve Martin, people who've received calls tell ABCNews.com.
Googel said that the scammers have been impossible to track down, but ABCNews.com spoke to one man who claimed to be associated with U.S. National Bank. The man said he works for Financial Crime Division, a company he said provides services for USNB. gO TO abc nEWS, they did a piece on these scammers.  WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T SEND THEM ANY MONEY, They cannot arrest you.

They called me non-stop for about 2 months.  Then I finally got smart.  They made threats and I said, ok bring it on and laugh at them and hang up.  If you laugh and tell them you know they are scammers, they will leave  you alone and find another target. At first, I was frightened and now its funny. Let them yell and scream and then laugh.  They are EXTORTIONIST preying on Hardworking US Americans trying to scare you into sending them money so they can do another terrorist attack on America.  I hope they all burn in HELL.

An Indian man named James Johnson called my home and told me I took out an internet loan of 250.00 and if I paid 560.00 it would all be taken care of, if not police would come to my work and home. I did not take a loan. They called themselves US Grants and Collections. Then at work someone named Steve Williams called my work, said he was from US Crime and Proventions Dept, also gave the same call back number for James, which James said this was his direct line. They have my home and work number, my social security and bank account information.

Received call from officer Mike Scott with Federal Investigative Agency concerning my daughter in some trouble owing money. I could barely understand him because of the thick accent (middle eastern/indian?). I called back and phone answered with "hello", no business name. Would not say if or what company he was with.  As this was to my cell phone, I checked recent calls and it came up 601-429-9008. Called that number to find it was disconnected. How do they do this?

I also received 2 calls today - 1 at work and 1 at home - from "agent David Adams" from the Federal Investigation Authority. Very thick accent with a lot of background noise. The messages were threatening - said to call back before something happened to me. I also received same messages a few months ago. I am currently trying to figure out who to report this to.

A very rude middle eastern person that can barely speak english calls. and when he calls it seems like someone is being coached in the backround what to say. He never says why he is calling or pulls out some false information. They keep changing on how much they owe everytime they call. They even faxed fake forms to my employer. They call my work and my cellphone. Everytime they call they threaten me or laugh when i am a smartass. I dont fall for things very easy. So i will not pay them any money. Its more irritating than anything. he is rude and calls my work. So i want them to stop. They call and give me a different name everytime. It is so ridiculous. The last two times they threatened me and hung up on me.

Got many calls from this 704-802-9391 number with some barely-English-speaking woman telling me I need to call ASAP aotherwise I will be in BIG LEGAL TROUBLE. They called my cell phone , my work phone and my girlfriends phone and rattled off the last 4 digits of my SSN. I called the number back and some a-hole wanted me to provide information! I told him where to go.

He immediately began to threaten me, said he was "holding" my Social Security number and had my former bank account number. He asked me if I had an attorney since I was about to be arrested. He told me repeatedly to "shut my f****ng mouth" and that he would be going to my job to have me arrested. This was his response everytime I asked for information about what he was calling about. The little bit I got was that it was about a debt, a payday loan (which I have none) that was charged off. He then claimed I had done the following:
1. Violation of federal banking regulations
2. Collecteral check fraud
3. Theft by deception
I did hear "Cash Advance" but I don't know if that was the name of the company or what. This was the first time I answered a call from them but I have received voicemails in the past threatening the same thing & to call them back at 704-257-4355.
