Why doesn't somebody do something about these a** holes! If there's this many people getting
calls from this bogus outfit maybe a done strike would suffice.

I was called today from the same number. Again nonsensical rambling about "department of investigations". When asked investigations of what...crickets. When asked what company she worked for I was put on hold for 2 minutes and then given an acronym with 5 letters. It was regarding a property I purchased apparently via personal check. Problem was I've never heard of the property, she had the wrong home address, and the wrong social security number. She said she would issue a warrant for my arrest. I informed her that since I was fairly certain she was not a judge that would be difficult for her. She then told me I had nothing to worry about. I am so relieved. Her name was Tiara Collins.

Ria, I just a message from the same person DEBBIE MILLER phone Number 704-469-2751. The same situation but she refer to my previous last name which I have been married and changed my name at least 10 years ago. Thank you for posting your sitaution becausse I was going to return her call. She said is from Fraud "something" Check Division, she spoke so fast and all the conversation i the backround like if it was a telemarketering place.

Same thing happened to me today; on my cell and work. I work for a huge law firm, so I let DEBBIE MILLER ramble on and on...she needs the power and then informed her the line was secured, the call had been recorded and i was going to the Atty General's office, which I did in NC.  Scam...the alleged debt, is 7y rs old. No paper work, no anything.  If I paid outright though no 'BAD" would happen to me.

i just called this number back and it's a recording saying that it's michael moore's office with investigations blah blah blah.

rec'd call 4 times and 1 voice mail from this number from an ashley smith in the investigations dept she has an affadavit with my name on it .....my name before i got remarried in 2012....for the state attorneys office. what is  being investigated and what state?  she said it would be in my best interest to call back with my attorney and wished me luck!! i had a scam call like this a few years ago.

I had this happen about 2 years ago.

This moron called me with some nonsensical rambling about being from the "department of investigation". we asked him if he was THE Michael Moore and if he was from the "one and only Department of Invesigation"? He babbled something about pursuing ...mumble, mumble, mumble......click......guess his heart wasn't really in it today

Is that who they are? He told me his name was Michael Moore and that I was under 2 fraud investigations from the Dept of Investigations. Well he left a message and said it's in my best interest to call back before 6 or get a lawyer and good luck!

said that I was going to get served and i was told that several time about this freakn payday loan.......same company different name....SCAM!!!!!!!!!
