Mary, so sorry to read you got harassed by these extortion scammers like this. And its the truth, the only ones who can actually touch SSI is the government itself and only for two reasons, back tax's and child support!  No one else can touch it, and in fact, a bank can also get into trouble for handing over any money to a Debt Collector - they have to verify the source and if its SSI or Disability, it can't be touched.

Do report these scum appropriately:

file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

Person called me harassing that they with garnish my social security check for a payment I never knew I owed,.  Said if I didn't give them 1299.oo right away I will be garnished close to 5000.00 got aggressive when I asked for proof ..... cause me to have a complete melt down.. SS office said this is fraud and not true..do not give these people any information.

Anna Vierra keeps calling my number regarding a "so called person with our last name" about check fraud. Don't know the person she is calling about. And when try to call back the phone number is not in service. Or we try to call the number from caller ID and it just rings and rings.  I would be happy to report you if you were to ever call again and we just so happen to answer....

This number has called me and says they need to verify my address and saying this number is filing a civil suit against me.  When I try to call number it says it's not in service , person on my voice mail says her name is Catalina sanchez
