I refuse to support the NC troopers after the fiasco with Mr. Tessner & his wife. Harassed, Embarrassed, and all for no reason at all. The trooper said he suspected she was under the influence of alcohol, but even after she blew a 0.00, not once but twice.then was told she would she would have to appear before the magistrate before she was release, which she eventually was. But not before officer Wyrick had another trooper pull her husband over to start this process of harassment all over again. Wyrick was not suspended but the other trooper that participated in this ridiculous charade was...I can think of much better things to do with our hard earned money than allocate it to some power tripping troopers. Who knows whom they could have really helped while p,aging this stupid game w/ Attorney Tessner & his wife.

Telemarketer trying to get money for troopers association.  I donated money to them once.  Once you recieve the sticker they sent for the donation you read the fine print that says the donation is not tax deductible because too much of the money goes to pay the caller and not enough goes to the non profit association .  This is a money making venture for the caller.

I got a call from a man saying that he is raising fund for the needy children of the Police officers died on  Duty in North Carolina, and  want it me to buy silver coins. I have said I have been unemployed for two years which is true. He was still trying to convince me that the children need money for sports and other stuff. I told told him my children are needy too,then told him next time.
Anyways, I just do not believe for fund raising over the phone.
Do these fundraisers really care for the children of Police officers died on duty?
I asked him doesn't the government help them out? He would not answer that question.
I just have hard time believing this type of Fundraiser they do.
Are they really Police Officers calling me? I get this type of calls few times a year.

Called and didn't leave a message. However, I know that the organizations that are trying to raise money hire companies (not necessarily local ones) to do it for them. So, it probably not a fake and is probably for your local FOP or another charitable organization in your area. I stopped answering these calls for the most part, though, because they don't seem to take no for an answer.

It's the North Carolina Fraternity of Police or something like that.

I got a call from this number and they say they are the police department wanting money. It sounded like a fake.
