Wow really how many times do you think we hear in a day that the debtor doesn't think they should have to pay there bill. Wow really if people paid what they owed it would be a different matter. We do a great job for duke FYI. Your also running your mouth about a business where you dealt with one person and to judge a whole company is really wrong.

We only do business with duke energy. We are a collections/customer service company who does buisness for duke energy. We do many projects for duke energy other than collections/damage claims.

I have received numerous calls from this number. Either they don't leave a message or they leave their first name and asked to be called back. Very unprofessional. Without knowing who was calling, I wasn't about to call them back. I did learn today, happened to call when I was at home. This is a collection agency called New concepts International. I talked to Doug  Towner, he was trying to collect a bill for Duke Energy. I remember speaking to him one time before and he was very rude. Duke Energy is trying to collect an 800.00 bill. I buried my dog and a year and a half later they say I damaged some wires. The first repairman that was sent out said he may have been due to a root, and not the dog. He put a temporary meter in. When they came back to finish job it was a different guy. I really don.t feel that I owe this bill but I will make payments to try to resolve. The first time I spoke to Mr Towner, I told him that I didn't feel that I owed the bill, he was very rude and told me I had no Integrity and hung up. When I spoke to him today, I brought up the fact that Duke Energy  had cut my power off when the bill was paid ( which I do Have the documentation) lost food in the amount of 568.19) that claim was never paid .Mr Towner said this was the first he had heard of this and he didn't wont to discuss it. The reason this is the first he has heard of this is that if they called me they never said who they were*(the company name or what it was in reference to) I do have integrity but currently I am disabled. I will make payments on this and told him that. I believe he just wants to send this out , and try to file suit. When a big company like Duke Energy owes you money they don't pay. But when the little guy owes you money they send it to a collection agency which in my opinion is the worst I have ever dealt with. I hope New Concepts is really doing a bang up job for Duke Energy. I was in collections myself ,I found that if you treat people with respect you are able to collect more. If I was Duke Energy I think I would try to hire or contract a more professional agency, at least one credited by the Better Business Bureau.

Someone keeps calling me from this number and asking me to call them back. Leaving no information why or what for.  I am a resident of ky. I don't even travel or own property in the carolinas. I want to report this caller and ask to be removed from this at once. I have advised my attorney of this situation and if someone wishes to speak with me they should provide some information regarding the situation in which they are calling about.

For the past three or four months i receive a call on my cell phone from this number, when i answer it prompts, if you last name begins with Nort please press two, if not please press three.  Each of the half dozen times they have called i have chose the option explaining that my last name does not begin with Nort.  Finally, after i excused myself from a meeting to take an unknown call (i never saved the number and use my phone for work so i am obligated to answer unknowns) that again wanted Nort I decided i had enough.  I called the 800 number and explained to the representative that I have owned my cell phone number for 10 years and that I believe they have the wrong contact infromation for someone whos last name begins with Nort.  They acknowledged that my number was listed for someone else so i asked if it could be removed.  I was informed that Duke energy could not remove the contact number without the delinquit a**hole who doenst pay their bill giving permission.  I think this consititutes harrassment and i offered to fax verification that this was my number to Duke energy but it didnt matter.  Finally i spoke with a supervisor and was told that i wouldnt receive another call.  Of course, three hours later, while i was eating dinner with my family i recieved another call for Nort.  I called my cell provider and got the number blocked, as i pay my bills and dont need to be reminded but I think it is bad business practices from a company that couldnt care less because we have no choice but to have power through Duke energy here in Charlotte.

let me tell you if get a call from these folks they can tell you what its for unless your the person they looking for so pay dam duke bill and dont have to worry. and by the way duke hired them because you dont pay

It's for Duke Power/ Duke Energy. They are collecting your final bill. I owe them like $14.67. Seems like a low amount, but all these bills translate into higher rates for everyone if you don't pay. Hard time means hard collection practices.
Like another poster said, PAY YOUR DAMN BILL.

Easy way to beat these idiots...they made a mistake in violation of this..the very first time they called me..I was immediately able to sue them for this violation and they settled by eliminating the debt...

Since you just moved out of charlotte nc they are probably calling about your duke energy final electric bill.  people dont realize that duke does a final reading on the meter after you move out. i suggest you call duke or call nci back and take care of your final bill.

I have received at least 50 unwanted phone messages from this number in the last couple of months with the only message stating "this is not a solicitation call". I have a private/unlisted number with my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST; whoever this company is they are in violation of obtaining and using my number.

They called asking for my 90 yr old grandmother (I happened to be in her old house when the phone rang).  The caller would only give her name as Ms. Smith and that she needed to speak with my grandmother about a "business matter" (would not give any further details even when I said I could speak on my grandmother's behalf).  After googling, that number is listed on merchantcircle.com as New Concepts out of Concord, NC.  Other search results say it could be a collections agency.  From my experience, collections agencies will give you more details, as their purpose is to actually collect.  I suspect it's some type of fraud.

These people would not tell me who they were or what they wanted.They asked for me or my mother who has been dead for two years. I know that I do Not owe them money ,I am debt free.They refused to tell me what they wanted unless I gave them More Information about myself.I refused and they said they would keep calling me until I gave them the Info. If this continues I will be forced to go to their office in Concord N.C and deal with this in person.It will be very UGLY for them. LEAVE ME ALONE OR PAY THE COST OF MY WRATH.

This mo fo named mr bowls from this number called my mom's phone that is in my name. He was calling for my brother but would give no reason for calling. If he calls my momma's phone again I'ma go down to concord and tear him a new a**hole.

I got a message saying my first, middle initial, and last names and that I needed to call a Mr Thompson. I have no idea who these people are and have no idea why they are calling me. I just reciently moved out of the Charlotte/Concord, NC area and at first thought this was someone calling about a job application I had submitted, but if that was the case they would have given reason for the call, and the person sounded rude in his tone. I don't like to get messages on my phone to call someone and they not give details as to why they are calling. That's a little suspicious to me. I have worked in the telemarketing industry for many years doing a variety of jobs, from collections, to sales, and customer service and anytime i called someone I had to identify who i was, what company I worked for, and most importantly, the reason for the call. And all this was done if I spoke to the person, or left a message.

I used to work for this company, until fired because I would not drive in a snow storm. Don is correct-this company collects pass due bills for Duke Power. The calls are placed from an automatic dialer which is why you will receive so many calls. Also up until the moment you answer the call the person on the other end doesn't know anything about you, which is why it always seems there is a pause on the line.

The reason they cannot give out information is because of the privacy laws.  You wouldn't want them telling your business or your family member's business to anyone would you?  If your relative would give you permission to speak with them they will tell you all about why they are calling.

Tried to help out a friend when i was young and dumb, she ended up taking me for over 2000, I thought everything she screwed me over on (Utilities Rent Phone) that i had paid every thing off just to find out that 5 years later they call my mom totally rude to her. Hey dude... I didn't know i still owed you money you a$$ hole and I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to pay it off but not if your gonna be a dick. I'm sure alot of the people that they have to call are scum bags, but I'm not one of them and why did you wait 5 effin years!!! Try a little cooth and you might get your damn money! I'm not paying a dime (like its gonna matter after this long) Until we get a little respect from this company!

They called me looking for the family that lives accross the street from me. I don't even know them and they left the message on my machine saying they were looking for me. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

They have my number as someone else's and will not stop calling no matter how many times I tell them that I am not the person they are looking for. Totally rude & ghetto. I really wish they would get shut down. Funny thing is I can't get enough information out of them to find out what company they are collecting for. It might be a scam.

I got a voicemail from someone.  They said their name was Mr. Rhodes or Mr. Rose, not sure.  Told me to call 704-788-2189.  Did not say what call was about.  They called my work phone number...a state government number.  I was unfamiliar with the name and was suspicious since they did not say what the call was about, so I looked up the number.  I see from this site that it is New Concepts International, a debt collection agency.  I have no intention of calling back and making myself more accessible.  What gets me, is they were way off on my name.  They had the wrong middle initial and the wrong last name.  The last name had the first few letters the same, but that was all.  Do you know how many Debbie's and Deborah's there are?  Give me a break!!

SC state law requires all vehicles to have insurance on the road.  if an uninsured vehicle causes damages to someone's property your driver's license will be revoked. i just dealt with mine getting revoked for an accident...i didnt think they could do it but i'll be damned if i got pulled and had to get bailed out.  if you hit a duke power pole like i did i would call them quick to pay your debt.

Pay your bills and you won't have to worry about a phone call. Duh!!!
