I've gotten a few calls from 704-805-4940.  No one ever answers when we pick up.  It is getting very annoying.

This number left a message...it was a political callfor someone running for the senate.

Just says "North Carolina call" on my caller I.D.

I'm responding to my own message.  Today (Friday 9/26/08, 12:15 PM PST) I got another call from this number.  This time I waited thinking it would tie up their phone line.  Well, it took about 10 seconds but the recorded message finally started.  It asked if I wanted to be removed from their list in which case you press 8 on your phone pad.  I gladly entered it.  We'll see how it works.  Maybe on some of the other calls I get I'll wait 10-15 seconds to see if the message starts.

When they call there is no voice or message but as soon as I say something the call disconnects.  Appears that there is some type of voice activation / recognition device that detects an answer.  I got two similar calls within minutes of each other.  I'm thinking that when I ask to be removed from these automated phone calls that my phone number is not totally removed but saved and later dialed but with no automated message given.  It's happening more and more!

Robo call selling insurance of some sort - machine cut them off.

This number dials our office regularly and hangs up.

My 90 yr. old mom had this same # call her and no reply when she answers it.

I have a 93 year old friend who gets many calls from this number.  he ahs a cller ID.  When he answers shoever is on the other end does not respond, but whoever it is keeps calling even when he aksed them not to call anymore.
