Received to calls to my cell phone one in the morning and one in the evening.  I don't know who or what this person is and why they are calling me.

If I ever win the lottery, I will offer rewards to anyone who can locate, remove these scam *sswipes. I get calls every day at least three to four times a day.  I am full time college and would pay to watch anyone of them hanged at the neck until dead.

I think its people from Talkee.com calling.

THE GOOD NEWS: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.

RETALIATE:

Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a modified ZIP Code. Important: provide a credit card company's real 800 number.

After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke.

REDUCE THE MISERY:

Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a free feature many providers offer, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, automatically hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.

Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.

I just got the call and listened up till the said lowering you interest rates.  I hung up immediately.  Going to report it to DNC list.

I was getting so many of these calls that I thought it would be fun to mess with them a little bit so I started asking them questions or just acting stupid and telling that "yes, I would like a credit card becasue noone else would give me one" and then i thought "WOW; what an oppertunity to spread the Word of G_d" The only one that did not hang up on me immediatlky was the one that said he had accepted Jesus thought that he could could still knowingly continue to scam people... (then he hung up on me).

I have reported them to the FCC who told me to contact my states AG's office and when I contacted the AG's office they told me to contact the FCC :) ... Government at its finest!

It aggrivates me that as much money as this is costing (time, network bandwidth usage, prepaid minutes, etc.) that those that we pay to protect us from criminals like this will not take more of an interest in protecting us from these criminals. There ARE ways to track these people down but there is no interest in doing so.

I now use an app on my phone that intercepts call from collected numbers and blocks them. Although this reduces the number of calls (because I do not get repeat calls from the same number any longer) I still have to keep adding the new numbers to the list so the problem still exists. I hate to do it because I have had my number for many years but it may be time to chnage it.

I had to refresh my phone (and forgot to export the list of numbers first) but as I collect new numbers I will post them so that if others have an app to block numbers they can simply import the list and maybe slow some if this down a little bit. If others can do the same maybe we can come up with a solid list of "do not answer" numbers.

Has anyone considered the possibilities of idiots who are associated with this "card services" type of places making irrelevant posts or accusations on sites such as this simply to confuse the consumers they wish to target?

No employees here!  Why don't you read the "legal" FAQS here?  This site does not remove posts unless they are in violation of the TOS of this site - and certainly is not paid to do so!

 Have anyone of you ever considered the concept of the employees/owners of these very same websites could be the people making all of these calls? Possibility considering they do expect to be paid a large amount of money to have a post removed! Think about it!!!

Yea, Same here from 828-656-4712! Credit card interest rates haven't been that low for at least 35 years or longer! Legitimate credit card companies do not call anybody unless there is suspicious activity going on and/or if the credit card has been reported lost or stolen & the company needs to verify something with the account holder! The legitimate companies never uses unidentified numbers or Robo calls not even for their specials/promotional offers!

Recieved call from 828- 656-4712 just after husband & I had been discussing the true idenity of  someone who claims to be our niece. Tried to contact niece by calling her actual number & a recording came on stating that the California number has been changed to a Durham, North Carolina number(not true)! The number posted here is a Durham, North Carolina area area code! The person claiming to be niece calls from a Springfield, Missouri number & has also sent a picture-mail of herself & an older man(which in truth is her father) & compared faces. This person doesn't even come close to looking like actual niece! Both numbers are obviously associated with one another! Missouri number is Jessica Gardner but claims to be Emma our niece in California!

I received calls from this number but they leave no message.  SCAM.

The best way of discourage these type calls is not to answer it. If you answer, they will put your number in the live folder and keep calling you back.

When I called back, the message said the phone was disconnected. I know there's no way to track the owners of these numbers and they're always perpetuating an identity theft scam. After running the caller's recorded message through a voice criminal profile scanner (VCPS) it has been established that the possibility of this man being a predatory pediophile who frequently (and recently) has had sex with his mother, is in the 99th percentile. It is further noted (based on the analysis of micro-fluctuations in his speach pattern) that this man has a very small, or non-existent set of male organs and suffers from classic "p***s envy". It's safe to say that this man frequents public restrooms seeking out young children in an ineffectual effort to find someone with a p***s that's smaller than his. Unfortunately, men like this end up living in their paren'ts basement which both disguises and facilitates the pre-existing sexual activity that has taken place between mother and son. In short, (no pun intended) this man needs empathy and understanding. The prescribed procedure requires that all future calls from unknown numbers be allowed to go to voice mail.

Called my Cell from various numbers. I pressed their 1 and ask to be put on their Do not Call List. I was ask, "What yo gonna do bout it?:" I said "I was going to report their number as FRAUD," Lime said" Yo must be rich, yo have lots money" So tired of these people, wish someone would do something about them as they keep getting away with it. The other number they used to harass me right after I hung up was 765-525-9654. Wish i could report them and get something done!
