if you are going to call me leave a message as i can't call this number back

Tried to call back, busy signal at all times

called me too, it was a "bank satisfaction survey" pointless if you ask me I lied on all the questions.

Call about 4 times a week. no one replies to hello. my wife tells me last week it was a company called convergia looking to renew our long distance plan. yeah right!

This man called to ask to speak to a "Welton" plus ID's my last name along with my address and postal code.  I asked where he was calling from and was told "Toronto" however the area code is 705.  He continually chewed gum while asking to speak with Welton while I tried unsuccessfully to state my first name was spelt wrong. His demeanour was very "robotic" in that he kept me on the line asking to speak to Welton.  Finally he said he had the wrong number and hung up.  I tried calling the number back periodically over the course of the afternoon and evening to only come up with a busy signal.  When I think back over the lack of conversation we had, I am inclined to believe he was using my phone line as a means of communicating somewhere else  for free and at my expense.  I will scrutinize my phone statement carefully when it comes in. He never identified himself when I asked who was calling, just kept asking to speak to a "Welton".........not to mention chewing his gum.  I became a bit nervous and uncomfortable after he humg up so I locked my doors until my husband came home.  I certainly didn't like the sense of apprehension I experienced or the feeling of being made a prisoner in my own home.  I don't understand that with all our modern technology, which obviously he is using, why it can't be used to ID this person and put him out of business, with the end result of serving time in jail.

Called my 1-800 # somehow left a lengthy 56 min message that I never received on my answering machine.  Later I received the bill for it..
How can we stop these calls from happening???

I'm a student at the University of Western Ontario. Today my mother was called at home (from this number) and they said they were calling from the University of Western Ontario and asked to speak to the parent of "my name". They said they were collecting for some kind of fund.

It's a bit disturbing that a Barrie area number called my home.. knew my name.. and pretended to represent my university which is an entirely different area code.

Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Called on my cell phone while I was driving, hung up in disgust.
normally if I get these at home, I tab thru and eventually talk to someone, and tell them I'm on the no call list, some don't care and just hang up, some are polite, and "say" they will take me off.
Frankly until we stand a few of these buggers against a wall and shoot them as an example, this will continue.

This call came in on my husbands cell phone - how they got the number I am not sure - tried calling back but the number is busy for over an hour - these type of calls are not welcomed

Call today from 705-722-6820 indicating they were a collection agency named "CRS" and wanted to try to collect money for my ex-husbands' defaulted VISA card. The agent hung up on me...
I am on the DNC list as well.

As of now, this is a Canadian satellite phone number and it is NOT a telemarketer, or a business that sells anything. I know them.

If you get a call from it, the person really does want to talk to you but the service is so bad that sometimes you can hear them.

I keep getting a call from this number but no one happens to be on the line and when I call it.... it comes back busy... if they are a telemarketer.... I am part of the Canadian do not call list.... hope I can get them charged... and to think this happened on my cellphone.
