call was not answered, allowed to go to answering machine, caller did not leave message.

Name on caller ID was: Unknown Name

My family received a call from "Jim Binder" looking for me.  He made it sound like he knew me and was disappointed when my family would not give him MY phone number.  They took the message though and when I attempted to return this very odd call at 706-595-1957 (the number he gave them)  I also received the message that this number had been disconnected.   It's a scam!

A call to (706) 595-1957 gets a "this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service" recording. (THEY ARE SPOOFING OR FAKING THE PHONE NUMBER!!!)  This is clearly someone who is either "spoofing" or "phishing" with less-than-honorable intentions... whatever they may be.  Don't answer the phone if you see this number on your caller ID... they are probably operating an identity theft ring and if you answer... they'll probe you for personal information under the guise of having scary/frightening information about some financial situation.
Report every instance of anyone calling you from this number.

didn't answer, don't know anyone in Georgia. have answering machine, they didn't leave a message. two days in a row.
