I look at this thread, and back in Jan this number was calling and harassing ppl, with zero concern for the DNC list. Here it is 6 months later and they are still at it. Unbelievable. The law and FTC are USELESS against these scumbags.

I hope you all are also going back to the Do Not Call Registry and leaving your complaint.  This won't stop unless we all complain to the website that can actually do some good.

Called  June 17. Did not leave message. Looked up and it was from Hartwell, Georgia a Tandem Telephone Line. On Franklin street

received call at 11:15am, 6/9/14, heard call center background & hung up before they had a chance to say anything. Went immediately to my OOMA online homepage & blocked their #. Love that function! Also like blocking from my cell phone when these type idiots get hold of that number, my T-Mobile Galaxy has that function. LOVE blocking these type of idiot calls!!!

Less than two weeks later, and they called again.  One ring and then stopped which told me it was one of my BLOCKED numbers.  LOVE that gadget.

Weird scam.  Long delay before they came to the line, then they asked, stumbling, if this was 'name of company' and then the asked if I were an owner or manager or 'merely' worked there - wth?  I asked what they wanted, and she (I think) said she was from a financial group, and wanted to assure me that this wasn't a sales or promotion call, and I told her (I think) "of course it is, and now you're just lying to me" and to never call here again.

Blocked them. Thanks to everyone who filed a report here before so I knew not to take the call when it came in.

Never, ever, EVER call these numbers back.
(1) It tells the source that you have a WORKING NUMBER and it will INCREASE the frequency and variety of calls.  Your number will be SHARED (sold, traded, passed along) to OTHER SCAMMERS and your life will be a living hell of unwanted phone calls.
(2) SOME of these numbers have a GOTCHA attached to them that when you call them back you get CHARGED a HEFTY SERVICE FEE ($20+) PLUS an OUTRAGEOUS PER MINUTE RATE ($9 or more).  ALWAYS check the area code BEFORE you call any number back; calls to the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, HAITI, JAMAICA, NIGERIA, THE CONGO, etc.  (see a theme here?) and others are NOTORIOUS for this.

BEST TO IGNORE unknown, unwanted calls and NEVER CALL BACK despite HOW curious you are.  Check ONLINE and most often you will find out these are SCAMS without having to risk your finances, security and peace of mind.

Telemarketer = SCAMMER on 800 NOTES.  800Notes, Are you PART OF THE SCAMS????

Ever notice the ADS that 800Notes places on these threads?  THIS one has DEBT COLLECTORS and SOLAR INSTALLATIONS connected to it.  That tells me the owners of 800Notes know more than they are letting any of us know.  They MIGHT even be SELLING OUR names/info, if they have a way to collect it, which I'm pretty sure they do.

Note that calls from THIS number have been going on for at least FIVE months.
This likely is a TELEMARKETING FIRM hired to make calls for various clients, including debt collectors, solar companies and more.

MY Caller ID (home landline) just now said "FREE ELECTRIC", which, yeah, right, that's a RED FLAG that its TELEMARKETING SELLING at best and a SCAM at worst.

I picked up/hung up w/o answering as I always do when I'm home and by the phone.  It will now be BLOCKED.

Calls and hangs up. "Free Electric".  More lies and scams.

They called our customer service line, and when the customer service rep answered, no one.said anything and they hung up.

Received a call from this number on my cell in the middle of the night. Did not answer. Very annoying.

The number is Telemarketer  A Holes fishing for info.

Got a call from this number. Phone went off. Called back and the wanted me to first enter my debit card number. Put the phone off and blocked the number.

Call from 706-805-1789 at 1:00 pm EDT. I also have caller ID and never answer calls I don't recognize. No voice mail left.

I'm guessing that these people don't know that I have Caller ID and never answer calls from numbers that I don't know.

These b*****ds called me too. This is what I found out. Please spread the word. If you call their number back 706-805-1788 their recorded message says they are the Telemanagers Marketing Customer Care Management Platform. Then it goes to a menu. Option 1 is to get off their calling list. THESE F****RS SHOULD NOT CALL ANYONE WHO IS ALREADY ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!!! Option 2 is to find out more about the Marketing Center operating the specific phone numbers. This is what they tell you if you choose option 2: their Calling Center is located at 933 Motor Pkwy, Hophog NY 11788. Their phone number is 631-406-4206. When you call that number to chew their head off it answers: Thank you for calling Amex Securities, please hold while I try to connect you....but then it always comes back with "I'm sorry no one is available...." There is got to be a way to get to a live idiot.

Wish I knew someone in Georgia from all the way up here in Alberta. But I don't, so I ignored the call.

I discovered a great app Trap Call to end this nonsense.

I answered the phone: "What are you selling?"  A female with a weird accent said:  "I'm not selling anything."  I said:  "Liar!"  She hung up.

Called me from Georgia, USA. Left a 3 second voicemail that says "hello" with a bunch of rustling and chatter in the background.
