To all the other posters: I feel your pain, they called me over 300x during a 1 month period last summer.  They finally stopped but have now started again with more than 50 calls in less than 3 weeks.  

They absolutely, positively will not stop nor honor any requests to be placed on their "do not call" list.  I block their numbers via my phone, which works for a couple of days, until they start calling from another spoofed number.  I've been polite to them; I've screamed at them; I've hung up on them; I've tried wasting as much of their time as I could;  I've told them I'm dead; I've told them I can't install solar panels; I've told them where they can stick their solar panels; I've told them I'm incarcerated; I've told them I don't have the mental faculties to sign binding contracts; I've asked: "does your Mama know you're a crook because I know you're a crook and you know you're a crook but I was just wondering if your Mama knows you're a crook?"  And, my personal favorite, I recently said to one of these callers: "you must be the world's most optimistic employee!"  The telemarketer replied "why, yes, I am; my manager just told me that this morning I'm proud to say."  To which I replied: "because the last 300 times your company called I said "no" and here you are thinking this time I'm going to say "yes."  If that wasn't so sad, you'd be adorable."  Feel free to use any of these because I'm having way too much fun with 'em (my hope is that I'll eventually start looking forward to their calls!)

I've filed complaints with the FTC, the FCC and the CA State Attorney General's office and the land line phone company.  Each agency points the finger to the other.  The "do not call" list is nothing more than a subscription service for "legit" telemarketers to use.  There is no enforcement mechanism for abuse of "do not call."  Nothing stops them; absolutely nothing and I've made my peace with that which, at this point, is about all I can do.

My only option and one I'm seriously considering: canceling my land line service and going cellular only.

The "National Renewable Energy Center" is a telemarketing front for A1 Solar Power, a solar company with several branches throughout California.

Same as everyone else I was getting 3 - 5 calls a day for weeks from the same numbers, almost 24 hours with no calls as of today.  Tried asking nicely to be removed from the call list and then they started getting rude and threatening.  I have turned them over daily to the FCC with no luck and have also turned them in to Level 3 communications fraud devision.  I have started blocking their numbers but before I do I give them a close up on how a smoke alarm sounds over the phone, right next to the alarm. Maybe they will be hesitant to call after a few times of a close up to a smoke alarm.  If not there are alarms where I work that would be a lot more anoying to hear up close, I'll bring home a recording of one of them. If these are Level 3 Communications customers they should bring them up on charges.

This same company, under multiple numbers, has called more than 300x total  Twice a day, 3 to 4x per week. Fling complaints using their various numbers on the "do not call" website does no good. Filing FCC complaint forms does no good. Asking to be placed on their "do not call" list does no good. Blocking their Caller ID number does no good.  Tracing their calls using a phone company's "Caller Trace" service does no good.

To the people here saying "be nice to them, they are just trying to make a living and do their jobs": these people are criminals and work for a blatantly criminal enterprise that regularly, continually and whole-heartedly violates the law and attempts to steal your money and identity..  Would you "be nice" to your mugger or a robber in your home?  They deserve any and all scorn or abuse that can be heaped upon them which will, hopefully, one day, cause them to choose a different line of work.

three calls every single day for more than a year.  Have told them I already have solar and to stop calling, so they switched the number they call from.  Robo call.

This number calls our house phone daily, no message is ever left, and when we answer live, no response.

I am receiving multiple daily calls from 707-204189.  There is never a person on the other end.  This has been going on for months.

We get calls from this number 3-4 times a day and have for a long time.  It hangs up apparently as soon as it detects a caller ID.  WE ARE ON THE USELESS DO NOT CALL LIST, AND HAVE BEEN EVER SINCE IT WAS INVENTED (AND KEPT IT RENEWED).  Who are these idiots??

Yup daily and some days more than once!  STOP CALLING MY FAX MACHINE!! Tried faxing back message - STOP CALLING MY FAX! Getting operator stating that the number is no longer in service. GGGRRR!!

have been getting repeated "empty" calls from 707-200-4189. also, calls from an aggressive solar company rep named alex mitchell from that same number-- i asked twice to be removed from their call list, but the daily "empty" calls keep coming. when i call back, i get a message that the number has been disconnected. 707-200-4189 seems to be a non-existent number-- surely this has to be illegal. it's harrassment. it's irritating.

This is a follow-up to an earlier post of mine, and after reading everyone else's same experience.  I finally got a person on the line so I could ask some questions.  He began by talking about PG&E and a 25% increase to their bills.  This company allegedly helps lower costs and save money.  When I asked the name and location of the company, I was told they are located in Van Nuys, and they are an energy center but then he said they are really more of a referral company.  I asked why they call constantly and no one answers when we pick up and why when I call back I get the message that the phone number is no longer in service.  He said he didn't know, (nor did i expect him to know).  I asked to talk to his supervisor....who just conveniently left the area just 3 seconds ago.  When I asked to be transferred to a manager, I was hung up on.  I have blocked this number now.

Keeps calling me every day and night.  Will not talk. Get off my phone!

Call more than once a day. No one on the line.

I actually got a live person (after they called several times over the week and when I answered it was dead air) they made it sound like they were with AT&T and said I was pick to save money on my electric bill.  I told them I had solar and they hung up so it makes sense that they must be a solar company...but how rude.

6 calls from this phone number today

Always call 2-3 times a day, I cannot get a call into them.
Caller: Solar Co. ?

Me:  "Hello?"
Them:  "Is Mr or Mrs Davidson there?"
Me:  "Who's calling please?"
Them:  "Jim"
Me:  "What company are you with?"
Them:  -hung up on me-
(We receive at least a call a day, usually with no response on the other end.)

I get 2-3 calls a day from this supposed solar company that wants to have me save $$ for letting them tell me that I need solar energy.  Occasionally I will answer the call ~ let them go thru their spiel & then ask them to take me off the list.  Then they turn very arrogant & aggressive & refuse to agree to take me off the list.  I have gone into shouting matches with them and they won't back down. They are annoying at the least & extremely intrusive. After my morning 'chat' with them this morning, I received 2 more robocalls within 5 minutes.  This number is a computer generated number so a call back to them will not be answered.

Solar company. I had to answer many times with no response until I got a live agent and nicely asked them to remove my number. No need to yell at these folks because they are just the messenger.

Solar company wanting to inspect for possible install to reduce PGE bills. I had to answer at least 6 times before finally getting live rep. I never yell at these agents because they are just trying to earn a paycheck. I let the guy read his script then I nicely declined and nicely asked to be removed. He politely said he understood. We'll see. Also, I have learned this type of calling is not illegal unless they ask for $ or info like your SS#. Sucks but its true.

This number calls at least twice a day and just hangs up when  you answer. One time someone said hello back twice and then hung up. I dont get it? Why call if you have nothing to say?!?!

Same drill. Over and over. Very annoying. I have reported this to AT&T and to the National No-Call folks. Suggest we all do the same...

Called several times a day. When I try to call back am informed that the number is either no longer in service or has been changed. And yet I continue to be called by 707 200 4189. Very frustrating.

WTF??? This is not happening !!! How can this crap stop??
