called, didn't leave a message.  caller i.d. said 'out of area' though it is in my area code.

Another good trick to get off of these lists is when someone finds out the company name (e.g., like the company mentioned in the post above), go to LinkedIn and search on "people" who work at the company or the company itself to find out who works there (be sure it is the right company though!).

I was getting harassing calls from another "marketing" firm, which I discovered was based in Canada. I also found the CEO's profile at LinkedIn. I Googled him and found an email and the phone number of his office!  They also had a branch in NY and I contacted their VP of Marketing.  I called and complained. After initially trying to brush me off, they started listening to me then when I mentioned what they were doing was illegal practices (not to mention unethical), and perhaps I should contact a lawyer?

Anyway, they made sure that they got me off of their list and I haven't heard from them since! If you have time, try it - very satisfying to find the "parent" company, and then start calling them! :)

They call 3-4 times per day, all hours of the day and night. REALLY tired of it! I answered once and it was dead air. Not sure who or what this is, but definitely a SPAM call (my # is on the DNC list). No identifying company, only the location.

I've been called twice in 2 days, went online to find who they are, went to their website and requested they stop calling me (by filling out the field with my number that says it's for stop calls, didn't give them my name or email address tho, why should they have that?), and yet I got another call today. How do we stop this kind of predatory, spam calling? Evil.

They have called me several times but when I pick up the phone there is just silence then eventually it disconnects.  The caller ID says the TN and Petaluma CA.  Per advice of a previous poster, I went to the website http://www.callmeyer.com/  and filled out the Meyer Do Not Call Request.

For my name I put "My Name" and for email address I put theirs:  dnc@callmeyer.com

Then since I have a Comcast phone, I dialed *60 and turned on Call Screening and added them to the list.

Sure enough, we have been receiving calls from this number daily in the last several weeks. Obviously a telemarketing company that is checking to see if the line is live. Will report them for sure. Thank you to the person who started this post!

Scam looking for $100 to support OBAMA..

I didn't pick up. The caller ID said Petaluma. No message left.

I receive at least 2or 3 calls from this number daily.  Noone leaves a message, no name appears on
caller ID so I intentionally do not answer.  This is very annoying and would like to stop them from calling me.  As I have comcast,I believe there is a way to block this number from coming through.

I finally answered a call from this number around 6:15 in the evening. I informed the caller that I had left a msg earlier in the day to take me off their list. When the caller apologized and said it could take up to 2 weeks to take me off the list, I told him that the next caller from this number would get a whistle in their ear. The calls have stopped.

Calls from this number have been coming to my home repeatedly for approximately two to three weeks. A message is never left and when I see the number on caller ID, I intentionally do not answer it. They continue calling, sometimes 2 or 3 times daily. I have an unlisted number and have submitted a request for them to stop calling me. I hope this will stop. I could not submit the no call request without giving my email address. Now I wonder if I will start getting junk emails from this company. I am absolutely furious with these people. ENOUGH!

Have called me almost daily for the past month. Caller ID reads "no caller id available" and no message has ever been left. (I am on "Do Not Call" list.) I finally called the number late at night and got a recording saying "You have reached Meyer Teleservices. You are probably trying to return a call you received from us on behalf of one of our business, political, or non-profit clients. If you want to speak to one of our representatives [ha!!!!!!] please call us during normal business hours. To be taken off our call list, please call during normal business hours or visit our website at http://www.callmeyer.com/ ." I did the latter and encourage you to do so as well.
