It's a research, survey and data collecting company. According to Wikipedia: "SSI (Survey Sampling International) founded in 1977 by Tom Danbury and Beverly Weiman, the first commercial market research sampling company. It serves more than 3,000 clients, including political, social, and governmental organizations"
Our call was a political survey (multiple choice and yes or no answers) about the United States our opinions and concerns in the Middle East. The call lasted approx. 20 minutes. We never gave them our personal info like income, religious views, date of birth, political affiliation, and education level, which she ask at the end.

Our caller ID showed the name Dolores Graham. No area code, making it seem the caller may be someone we know. We screen all calls, wait to hear a real voice, and pick up only if we recognize the caller.
