Left a message threatening me with legal actions. Garbage. I put on my blocklist, since I don't owe anyone anything. Not even sure how they got this number.

I to have been recieving threatening phone calls stating that I borrowed from a payday advance & that the loan was electronically deposited in my account. B S it never happened, but I to filled out an application online, but did not complete it or follow through with the loan. A foolish mistake on my part to put my personal info out there. I've been told when I would ask anything regaurding this matter with any kind of dispute, they would imedetly threaten legal action. The first time i was told by a so called "Officer" that I needed to report the next day to court, when I ask what court they told the nearest State & County Court House & was not to call back anymore. Well after closing my bank account, I just laughed & when on with my life. Again another message left roughly 2 weeks later. This time they wanted to speak to my attorney, I started asking in depth Questions that they had no idea how to answer. They being upset told me that they were going to send me all the info that I would need I said good & please send a copy to my local police dept. They getting evan more upset (like a lil kid who's not getting there way) They told me not to worry that they were sending the police to my house, I said I would be waiting. I don't care what nation they hail from, real attorneys no the law & in AMERICA that is not how OUR system works! So in closing, xoxox My B.W.  A**

THIS IS A SCAM. You cannot be jailed for debt which is handled in civil court. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and using bought/hacked loan application data to extort your personal info (ID theft) or fines for fictitious crimes.

Joe are you sure that this SCAM, as i really gave them money and was in the court house the very next day... and they also should me the proof of geting the loan and the arrest warrant for the same.

OK - this is definitely a scam.  They are constantly calling my office and home numbers.  My lawyer confirmed this for me.  If you have ever even applied for a payday loan, which I did (never took the loan by the way), somehow this group of (Indian?) people threaten you and sound legit since they somehow got a hold of info you've submitted in the loan application on line (i.e.  last 4 of SSN).

So here is what to do - give them a taste of their own medicine.  Call them on it, ask how much the loan is worth, when you took it out, etc.  They totally stammer and scramble with it.  He said if I didn't fix the situation now, the sherrif would come to get me.  I nonchalantly asked what time so I could be ready.  He said 11 am.  I said, good - maybe I can take him to lunch.  I then called back and mentioned that there was NO sherriff where I lived so how was that going to happen?  He said the "court" was coming then.  I called back and asked what I should wear.  He hung up on me...just kept at it and he stopped calling.
