Just received a call from this number at WORK - threatening to press charges for a payday loan!
Never happened!  These people are scam artists

These people are SCAM ARTISTS Big Time!!  They will threaten you that if you do not pay a certain amount of money you owe from some loan you supposedly took out you will go to jail.  Do not ever answer this number--it is bogus and they are just trying to scare you into sending them money.  I have reported these people to the FBI.  I found out that they call from all kinds of numbers from overseas and everywhere.  The FBI has a file on all this but it happens so often and from so many numbers that they can't get a lid on it yet.

Your right Tim, i too got the same type of calls pertaining about same type of crap, that i owe some dollars bla bla bla...what a b***s***..These people don't even know to speak English, uses some fake names and threats for money??? And is it true that they calls from India???

Yeah, it's a scam. I know how they got my info, unfortunately, like many others, times are tough, so I applied for a payday loan online, turns out, it wasn't actually a payday loan firm, but a blanket application that sells/forwards your info to, apparantly, thousands of other people. The good news, I did get my small loan, which helped get me through and has since been paid off, the bad news, now I am getting absolutely BLASTED by more "lenders" offering more payday loans and now these A-holes with their threatening law suit crap. Getting calls, emails, texts, etc. at least 2-3 an hour ever since I filled out that app. Changing my phone number, that I've had for 5 years and never had a problem with, and my email address appear to be the only option. What really sucks though is that I was dumb enough to provide my work number, too... which obviously I can't change. Going to try to look at the bright side, until either I get my number changed or they give up... I think I'm going to have some fun taking out my frustration on these smucks.

hey you have to go to your Bank and just talk with your Banker.You can ask your banker to get your money back.You can ask to refund your money.If you paid them via your credit or debit card then you must have the account and person or a company who received your money in your bank statement or bank records.You need to tell your banker that it was fraud and unauthorized payment has been done,your banker will contact the party and ask to refund that money.You will get your money back.I passed same situation and got help by my uncle,at last i got my money back.

I have just experienced the samething and they called me at work. When I began to ask questions they said have your attonery call me. They have gotten me before and i paid them $650.00 and knew the name of the company for which I did have a loan and had a hard time paying it back. These guys are scum bags and need to be put in JAIL! The first time I called they answered in there language than I called back and they laughed about who I was to ask for. Than he gets upset when I began to ask him questions and he hangs up. I'm very upset about this and I want to know what can we do to stop these theives?

This number started calling me at WORK. IT is a RUDE indian who left a message and said his name was David Warner. When I called back I talked to an Indian who said his name was Troy Benjamin. Then he pretended to put me on hold and "transfer" me to David Warner. It was the same man-obviously. He said I had a loan taken out with Easy Cash Advance, for $500.00 that I never paid back, last month, and that I had to pay him today to stop all legal action. He said they had 17pages against me and that I would be in court facing charges. I asked, begged for documentation, a reference # with Easy Cash, he said he could not give it to me. He could not give me the date or account information that this loan was supposedly deposited to.  He said I didn't understand it because I had a simple mind!!!  Should I be freaked out??? Is this just scam or has my identity been used?  Has anyone actually had legal action taken against them from these people? And how do I get them to stop? I am definately calling the States Attorney Generals office.

SAID HE WAS A LAW FIRM BY THE NAME FRANK & MONIE LAW ASSOC AND HIS NAME IS BRIAN. SAID THAT MY HUSBAND HAD TAKEN A ON-LINE LOAN OUT BUT WOULD NOT TELL HIM THE COMPANY NAME THAT IT WAS TAKEN FROM OR FOR HOW MUCH. WHEN HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS GOING TO CONTACT THE GENERAL ATTORNEY (HIS WORDS) I TOLD HIM TO DO SO AND THAT IS WHEN THE CALL HEATED UP HE STARTED SPEAKING REALLY FAST AND MADE IT HARDER FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND HIM WITH HIS ACCENT IT STARTED TO GET HATEFUL AND I TOLD HIM TO LET ME SPEAK TO SOMEONE THAT SPOKE FRICKING ENGLISH AND THAT IS WHEN HE STARTED TO CUSS ME. SO HUNG UP THE PHONE AND HE HAS NOT CALLED BACK.

I have been harrased for weeks now from a person claiming to be with Mckenny Law firm trying to collect an outstanding debt. He has given me several alias but never sticks to a single name. When I asked him to fax me the account information, he faxed me a form with ACE logo and requesting my credit card number. On the form he faxed me it said his name is Mark Brown. The form did NOT have any debtor information, account numbers and it did not detail what type of debt it was. I did not fax back the form and waited for him to call me back, because he calls up 30 times a day. When he did, I politely explained that I will NOT be giving him my personal information nor my credit card number. He began to be beligrent and starting calling me names. I told him he is not to call me any longer and attempted to give him my attorney information, he refused it and continued to call me names and used foul language. He continued to call my place of work and harrass me using foul language and would harrass my co-workers as well. I called the police and the officer got on the phone with him, he began to call the officer names and said police couldn't touch him. I and my coworkers filed a police report to press charges for harrasment with intent of bodily harm.I urge you to call the police and file a report and give your attorney a copy of that police report.

They just messed with the wrong woman!  They are going to wish they never left me thosr voicemails!  I knew it was a scam the minute he lied about his name was david warner!  It's really sad that they are getting away with this with no repercussions.  I wonder just how many naive innocent people they've stolen from, and yet our government doesn't have the resources to stop them ?!?!?!  That is ridiculous!  I'm going to have to take matters into my own hands........oh, this is going to be fun!  All suggestions welcome too!

This number called me several times,saying I owed $9,000,in form of a cash advance.That the creditor had written bill off,but still wanted me to be punished.There was to be a 3 way call,but it was only this person,Eric and I.He told me creditors didn't want to work with me,but convinced them to do so.All I need to do is write a letter,and send $560 immmdiately via debit card or electronic transfer.HELP

These guys have been calling me for months. Always different numbers.Today I informed him that I know that this is a scam and that my  attorney has been notified. He then proceeded to tell me that he will come to my house,beat me with a stick. I told him that he was an idiot and he asked me if I wanted him to rape me. These people need to be stopped.

They have called me 10 times today already and are very rude. They are threatening me and I told them I would call the cops.

I have experienced the same.  I have had four nasty calls from them.  My husband answered once and was very rude and couldn't even speak English!  Go back to wherever you came from.  I am so sick of these scams that is happening in our own country.  What happened to AMERICA?

Been blasted by this number all day, thankfully I blacklisted the number. What it is is another one of the scare tactics lawsuit scams. Says I was given a loan and never paid it. Said it was for ezpaydayloans or something similiar. A month ago I looked into getting a loan cause times were rough and what most likely happen was my info was sold to this company. Since I never got a penny and there is tons of info online about this scam, I'm not worried, and neither should you! It's these scumbag forigners who try to scam hard working Americans. I asked him why when I searched for this number there was no info (any respectable law firm would have plenty of info) and he said something about people being mean and calling back and threatening them. Good! I know I'll sure mess with them later. I called the BBB and reported it and a phone number traced it to India. 100% scam, fear not my friends! Harass this number until they learn will are NOT to be messed with!
