Posted an ad on CL renting a room and received a response asking if I was still looking for a job.

Now is Catherine David 21 .

Same thing happened to me, told me to text ASAP. Their name now is "Mrs. Nguyen" and signed as "Jean"...
What the -- .... My dumb self texted- aha, Guess we'll see what great spams I get from this...

I had the same experience They told me to text them immediately. I didn't. Glad I Googled their number!!!

Same here those f****ng scammers are at it again using the name Jean

Got a email today from this number that replied to me from my resume on CL asking me to text them which I did not since they gave no information other than their phone number which is typical of all these foriegners on CL trying to scam.

Your best bet is, if you put an ad on CRAIGSLIST FOR ANYTHING do NOT post a number.. do NOT call any number unless you can block your own number because 9 out of 10 of them are a HOAX / SALES, FRAUD...  I never call one unless I block my own number because I start getting all sorts of "sales' calls and messages if I do .. They NEVER END.. Dont respond to the emails either of your will be getting a THOUSAND MESSAGES A DAY from " Your uncle from Iraq died and left you a million dollars.. email us now on how to get it deposited into you bank"... He responded to my ad on Craigslist....seemed a little fishy, his email title listed him as "Hard-Working Man" and signed it "David"

This email from "David" just responded to my craigslist ad also

Same, made a Craig's list ad, got a response. The guy asked me to buy envelopes for just $20, and then as many $1 envelopes as I could. voice mail was a google voice mail, He wouldn't discuss the job in detail, he never asked me for any information, resume or anything that would lead me to believe that he was serious. Its awful what he is doing.

I have the experience, got an email from Pack stating I need to text. No way. This is so wrong. You have got to be very carefull.

Same number except wanting me to mow lawns and asked if I had a personal computer, scanner and fax. Also this:

I am on the East coast and this reply was from California - clear across the country! It would not make sense for any employer to want to interview me being so far away and pay my expenses for moving.

I am chalking this up to a scam and not replying, because all they want is my cell number so they can send out SPAM texts to me every day. No thank you!
