This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This same person is using a new phone number as well. It's #(951) 888-6579 Name Gavin Peterson! Also he is using the name John carter or John Connor! He call my daughter threating her to jail. Wanted to know where she live so he could pic her up because she has a warrent. She does not even have a record. He stated to her to go to a 7/11 Store and call hhim when she get there so he can give a number for her to wire money to him! If not he said that he was going to come to her job!!! This is  crazy and ther crazy people out here and we all should be alert about these things!

James Williams or David Clark has a thick Indian accent this person will have all your info and claim that there is a lawsuit against you!! They state the company name is Marshall and Freeman attorney at law.... Let's stop these people!! Report them to the FBI or anywhere you can!!! They are out of the north bay area zip code.

These people are scammers they will tell you that you owe a bill that you have never heard of and advise you that you are being sued and charged on multiple accounts such as theft, criminal fraud, etc. They will also say you were loaned approximately $1100 not tell you who you got the loan from but will tell you that after all cost for attorneys fees and court fees you will owe a bill over $8000. There is one particulate guy that works there that sounds hindu that goes by the name of David Clark and James Williams he will lie to you and act as an attorney which he is clearly not, he can't even speak correct.  English. I don't know how this guy can live with himself impersonating a lawyer and trying to scare people into paying a bill they don't owe! They say that the name of there company is Marshall and Freeman attorney at law, but they are scanners and frauds and will try to get your hard earned money! DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE!!!! They will also have all of your information stating that they received it from there client which is suing you, but they probably stole the information from one of your financial institutions or credit cards data base. Lastly they will tell u that you will receive an order to go to court in the mail within 3 business days and threaten to garnish your wages and call your employer as well as the social security office. Let's stop these scammers from trying to take our money!!! Do whatever you can to get the word out and report these a***oles ASAP!!! TOGETHER WE CAN STOP THESE FRAUDS!!!!

I Have been getting a lot of calls on my cellular, work, this people are horrible a James Williams  called my job left message and also said for a law suit. I called back and they answered the phone like hello not like a business. They are rude he started to speak with an indian accent and didn't answer my questions said need it to verify my name and social he had my personal information . They said he had a lawsuit for a personal loan I did not get and my bank account is closed so i told him to give me all the information he said that will get it on the documents by mail and to contact my perol officer and a bunch of lies. I told him would have my lawyer to call him and he hung up. I have not received anything from this people and they are a Scam trying to attac hardworking people , I have never been in any trouble and this people are stressing me and they need to be stop.

I got a call on May 26th, 2012 from a guy with a thick accent stating I need to call this #323-331-9189 right away, and speak w/ a Mr. Gavin Peterson and that I have a class action law suite against me for money laundering and asked if I had an attorney... And when I contacted the # provided to call Mr. Peterson I didn't realize it was the same # That they had contacted me from/ which I believe is the exact same person who asked me to call and ask for himself... (if that is even his real name)... Mr. Peterson advsd that the class action law suite in the state of California for Money Laundering, and he spoke sooo fast, I tried to ask him to slow down of the exact person or place that had the law suite on me, he had advsd it was from a Pay day loan associated with my SS# and he even provided me My Place of Employment, and advsd he is getting the case # within 45 mins and will have the arrest warrant in hand to arrest me at my place of employment within 12 hours or my residence..... If I did not pay him $495 to settle the matter today only, or See me in Court in California and pay them $3,548.00.... Luckily My boyfriend started yelling in the background telling him to F.. Off.. But I was trying to get as much info from This so Called Mr. Gavin Peterson... @ 323-331-9189.... Then I did call the Payday loan server I did use, and they advsd it is Fraud and to report it,, Cause they had said They have gotten several calls about the exact same thing. and are aware of it... So I also Googled my name to see if their was a class action of Money Laundering and nothing had come up... And When I googled Mr. Gavin Peterson,,, I got a bunch of Blogs about this guy and that they too also reported to the FBI and also made police report and changed their cking information as well, which he adsvd he had my information as well, So I will be closing my cking as well.. So yeah He has caused me emense stress and much aggrevated Tension. This is sickening I hope you guys catch this person and stop him from hurting or even taking any more money from anyone else... Cause he is praying on people.. which if I had my way I would hunt him down myself but because right now that I have calmed down from being scared of going to jail..I'M JUST PISSED OFF AND WANT JUSTICE SERVED!!!  BUT ANYWAYS, IF I WAS FACE TO FACE WITH HIM I WOULD Punch him square in the face for putting me through this!!! O.m.g I am so glad I looked this up, they did it to me. I actually ended up in the hospital for chest pains but it was an anity attack, they were horable. They told m they  were a shrief   I had night mares. What can you tell me about them.

100+ calls from (most likely) this number in the past two weeks. They are always looking for "Gina" but there's no Gina at my household. Usually once I tell the caller Gina is not here, the conversation ends. If I ask who they are, they always hang up. Apparently Gina has bought Allstate insurance, and has a lawsuit against her... lol sureeeee.

Usually it's a Indian-accented male or female, however, I've had some fairly "normal" American voices as well. If I'm lucky enough to clearly understand the caller, I usually tell them flat out that I've gotten dozens of calls like this. They will say sorry and then hang up.

The creepiest response was when I told the caller that there is no Gina and that I had way too many calls for her. He started telling me to remember tomorrow (which was Valentine's Day) He said I was in luck, probably in regards to love. He said that was his prediction of my love... I hung up on that idiot.

I will need to report them if they don't stop calling me very soon.

I am getting the same calls also, an Indian lady making threats and wishing me luck. This is creepy wish I could see her in person and strangle her. Saying I have a law suit pending against me. What is going on, what are they getting out of this? Idiots....

i just got a phone call this guy mike cooper or kevin told me that they was from a law firm and that they are sueing me because they put money in my checking account but that account is closed the sad thing is they scammed me out of $219.00 because i was dumb and western union them money to get a payday loan which i did not get  but the money that i sent went to india

I started receiving calls from this number after I went on line to find a short term loan.  I didn't want a pay day loan.  I did find one.  These people call me at work and say I must call 707-897-3034 and speak with Dan Foster or John Watson.  The only way they have gotten the work phone is from recent on line applications.  It is a business that I just started working for.  I did call and asked Dan Foster who he was and he hung up on me.  The latest call to the number I connected and there was someone whistling in the phone and then the first message said the mailbox was full and the second message said an error had occurred.  
These are scammers and I have dealt with and reported them previously.  The move around between Nevada and California.  As was mentioned in other messages, get as much information as you can and report it to IC3.

I recived a phone call from a women, whom i could not identfy her culture but could not hardly understand anything she was saying besides a lawsuit from california. I constanlty ask the women to repeat what she was referring to and finally she got upset and told me to call her boss which was a lawyer named Mr Tept. I Asked her why she could not explain the situation she said she did not know anything besides that fact that i was getting sued for a loan,  but call him if I wanted more inforfmation. I called the number back and a man with a thick indian or maybe another culture along them lines aswered the phone. He told me he was a lawyer attempting to collect a debt from a loan company called cash america set out in the state of californi and. I replied back to him that that could not be possible because i dont have any loans and  I have never been or lived in california. He stated over the phone "maam that is besides the point, I am only trying to collect a unpaid debt and i will be sending the police to your place of work and they will arrest you and send you to jail." I told him how can you arrest me for loan i dont have and how are you going to arrest me for a loan way up on california that i do not have. he replied you do you work at this place, which he told me my job information i told him yes, he said well is this your social  and gave me my last four digits i told him well i dont know i think you have the wrong person. He got very irrate and said well your going to jail and you can talk to the judge about this issue the cops are on thier way. I told him hold up i dont live in california how you sending me to jail? He then got very angry and started yelling I know you stay in texas and you are going to jail, take this issue up with the judge in California when they come and arrest you and at your work place. He then hung up the phone on me. I called the number back and it went to a silent voice mail. I then looked up this number online and saw how many others these people have attact. It's sad what people will do in these times, but truth be told he got what ever it is coming to him in the worst way.

Received message around 5:00 stating that it was very important that my attorney or myself call this # back asap.  Said if I did not return call then he wishes me luck on what was to be imposed upon me!  I called back as well as my husband no answer just a whistling voice mail then it would say voicemail full then message error.  My husband and I have called back numerous times and same issue.  I'm very scared and don't know why this person would be calling me. He speaks with a very strong Indian accent and says his name is Steven Collins or something to that nature.  My nerves are racked I'm afraid and don't know what to do.

I have contacted my local police dept called my cell phone co closed bank accts filed a complaint with Washington State Attorney General office and also filed a compalint with FBI
They are so rude they told me I can either pay 25,000 per case or go to jail then they told me to have sex with them they are scammers and the more reports the better!!

I received a call this am from a lady named Erica Davis at number 707-897-3034, she stated she was calling to get my attorneys information, which I do not have an attorney and have never been in any trouble at all, she was very rude and I told her I knew she was a scan, she said I need to call a number because there is a claim against my name and social security and she did verify my SS. She then started cussing and saying I will lose my job and I better call and hung up. I have reported to FTC and will be contacting the local police and credit agencies as well. Any information any one can give I would greatly appreciate. I am very worried and as a single mother with not that much, I am scared someone has my SS as well.

Just received a call from the number 707-897-3034 today and over the weekend at my job. the guy had an indian accent and was telling me i owed money on a cash advance loan. Good thing i keep track of what i have. i did have 2 payday loans but I've been dealing with them for awhile and know they are paid off. But it scared me, i left work having panic attacks because i thought i really didn't pay someone down the line. he said that I would be arrested and brought back to California and put in jail. I was a nervous reck i thought someone hack into my life and stole my identity. I never noticed both numbers, 415-259-5028, but i just did today and yes they are both on my cell too. This is outrageous and crazy that people can do this these days. Well, I'm getting my number changed to a private one. WTH!

I got the same call.  He have an indian accent, sorry no pun intended.  But it is creepy, threaten me that my bank account will be withdrawn for something I owe.  Of course I owe creditors, but damn thats something out of the norm.  He told me to call him back to the same number 707-897-3034 and his name is Jordi or Jordan...could not really understand the whole message sounds like there were static, and mumbling.

These suckers are nothin but scammers ( 707 897-3034 )go ahead and file a complaint. Changes your phone # or call your carrier to have them block the #. I also recieved a call from them. when I asked who it was, the guy ( with some sort of Indian Accent ) claims hes from Federal Law. I asked him what its for and he told me to call the # ( 415 ) 259-5028. Ext. 209. For me to find out, he said I have a loan that I haven't pay. I asked what loan, he immediately responded to me in a rude way and told me to call the # he provided me. So I took the # and hung up. ( previously I had a payday loan, but I'm aware that I have already paid it off ) So I called my Bank first to confirmed, asked if there was any problems about account and they said there's nothing wrong and everything was fine. So I put my guard on with an attitude and called the # (415) 259-5028. Ext. 209 .When I called, a person answered with another Indian accent, I could clearlly hears the talking on the background that seems to have an identical voice from the person I spoke to ( 707 897-3034 ) This person asked me from what #  am I calling from and asked my Social Security #. I asked why? and he claimed he works from Federal Law. He asked again what's my SS#. I told him I cannot provide that info to him, what do you need it for? He said he need the info to access and to find out what its for. I told him that the area code (415) is mostly use in San Francisco area. I asked for his name he wouldn't give it to me. Then He asked me where am I from, and asked me if I'm an American. I said why are you asking that? he didn't asnwer, then I asked the same question are you an Indian? he didn't answer me back, he started to speaks a different language. I said excuse me??!!!! he keeps going and going then he hung up.... After 3 seconds I called back, then asnwering machine kicks in and unable to leave a message... WTF... So be very careful of scammers.... always make sure you don't give your SS# or any information. I keep calling them back on both #'s but they won't answer my calls. If I get lucky I will make sure to put it on speaker phone and record his damn voice......DO NOT WORRY I'M SURE THAT NAME " DAN FOSTER " does not even exist.

Got the same calls on my home and cell phone.  Blocked the number and changed cell #.  Also filed report with FTC.

I just got the same thing Dan Foster called me at work, said I had to paY in 1 hour or will be arrested at work in an hour on fraud charges

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS REPORT THESE A-HOLES, TO THE FTC, FCC AND YOUR LOCAL GENERAL ATTY OFFICE. DON'T BE SCARED! THEY SHOULD BE SCARED. THESE ARE SCAM ARTIST, IF THIS WAS A LEGIT THAT TYPE OF ABUSE AND LANGUAGE WOULD NOT BE USED BY A  REPUTABLE COMPANY. CALL YOU LOCAL POLICE DEPT AND FILE HARRASMENT CHARGES .

You can file a complaint with the federal trade commission. This is a some kind of scam. I reported them myself this morning. This Dan Foster called about a legal matter but wouldnt tell me what it was he then preceeded to hang up on me.
