I got the same text. also a Verizon phone. I haven't replied. Not easily manipulated.

if you are a verizon customer. forward the text to 7726. verizon will text you back asking the call from number which is usually different then what is in the text. this california cu spam is coming from a @vtext.com address. report to verizon!!!

Seems to be a SCAM per my Verizon contact.  no need to call it back

Thanks for the info.  I did double check you (can never be too careful, LOL).  You are correct!  Maybe if we all send this stuff to Verizon they will stop it!

I got three texts one right after the other.  One wanted me to call this number and the other two had two other completely different area codes and numbers to call.  All said it was about my California CU (which I don't have and never have had). SCAM!  But I'm curious how they got my cell number.  I don't give it out, sign up for texts alerts or anything.  Scared I may be hacked somehow?  Anyway, do not call back if you get this type of text or email.

IF YOU ARE A VERIZON COSTUMER FORWARD MESSAGE TO 7726.

They can investigate. Is not comming from verizon, is someone who has a verizon account sending mass texts. I contacted the costumer service at verizon and they told me that there are a lot of scam/spam issues at the moment and if there are any concerns to give them a call. You can go to verizon wireless dot com and there is a section for spam blocking. At the bottom it says that if you still have the message on your device to forward it to the 7726 number, you will not be charge for forward it in and they will send you a thank you message as well (free of charge).

I got the same thing this morning. I was worried about calling it but when I looked at where it was from, (vtext) I looked up the website and knew there was something up. This is ridiculous

Got two of these messages today from vtext.com telling me urgent attention needed for a CCU account.   And I'm with Verizon as well.  
One was call 707-968-7941 back and the other one was call 215-310-0133 back.
I have three cell phones on my Verizon acct, only the primary number on the acct received the texts.

I have verizon as well and keep getting this scam texts (5 in 1 day, sunday which banks are closed, lol). I called verizon to let them know and they apologize and try to upgrade my plan and phone, haha. Besides banks will not contact by phone/email/text. If there is something wrong with a card they cancel it first and notify by mail second.

Just got a text msg on my cell phone with this (530-616-8912) as a call back number with a name of California CU. I have no idea who or what this is but they can go to hell.
530 area code is Quincy, CA

And, yes, I also have a Verizon cell.

Yea I got this text, also have Verizon, I'm not sure where and how my number got spammed with this crap! It's so wrong! Someone needs to report this!
