Someone at this number called my cell and I answered.  Robotic voice telling me that my prepaid debit card had been locked.  "Press 1 to be transferred to our security department".  Yeah, right.  Hung up.

The call was made to my cell phone this morning, but I did not answer.  I called them back but it immediately said "Call rejected".  I have answered before when they called, but they hang up each time.  Time for the Feds (or whoever) to go after these idiots for making the calls!  They have also called on my home phone many times and the minute I hear "Free Cruise", I hang up.

Got this call today and just like other calls that I receive from unwanted calls I answer the phone in a somber tone saying "O'Reilly's Funeral Home can I help you" this really catches them offguard. They don't know what to say except they are sorry. I ask them to please remove my bussiness number from their master list..... END OF THESE PEOPLE EVER CALLING MY NUMBER AGAIN....

They called my work number.  Left no message.  I'm not calling them back.

Called today, on my cellphone, 15:46 CDT, I did not answer. Left "voicemail" in my v-mailbox; it was blank.

Repeated calling. They don't leave a message. I don't recognize the number and won't answer or call back.

971-208-99663.  They are crooks that pretend doing a political opinion survey.  Beware!!!  There are big time sharks.  They make you believe that you will win a boat Cruise.  The only thing they want is to steal your identity, and get your credit card number, etc.  BEWARE!!!!!!!  They are bandits.  
The problem, even if you block their phone number, they will use a different one in a couple of days and phone you again.  Yesterday they were using the following phone number:  971-208-9963.

503- 457-1508  YESTERDAY THEY WERE USING THIS NUMBER:  971-208-9963 .  It?s a SCAM:  Political Opinions of America begin with a political survey and then offer for free a cruise from Caribbean Cruise Lines that you have to pay for. These cruises are provided by Celebration Cruise Lines. These scumbags masquerade as a political organization to get past the TCPA, the FTC and FCC. They call, try to get you to take a ? political survey? so they can try and sell you a cruise.

They don't have a no- call list to be put on!
They are criminals that only see laws as there to break so they will never honor the Do Not Call list/laws!
They don't leave messages because they are trying to confirm whether or not they called a live number!!!

Their only interest is in stealing your personal info and maybe even your identity and take all they can from you!!!
They can't be stopped (yet) because they maliciously use Caller ID spoofing which is hard to trace and block (they change spoofed numbers faster and more often than their underwear), these calls may even be from offshore call centers (boiler room) and out of the reach of the FTC and U.S. jurisdiction!

A call came July 12th in the morning but a message was not left.  Why can't these callers leave a message if they really want to make contact - this drive me crazy............................

I shouldn't even be getting calls of this nature as I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST plus if I ever make contact with the caller I request they remove my number from their list.

this company has been calling me many times always in the evening...they never leave a message...and i don't answer to numbers i don't recognize...they are annoying...hope it will stop soon...thanks.

The last call from this number was last night at 11:38 pm. I have listened to the whole call previously and pressed "9" to stop the calls. Did no good. The calls are jst recorded messages.

They called me yesterday - I picked up - and it clicked off. These spammers called before.

971-208-9960 and 971-208-9963,    Same recording both times saying I've been SPECIALLY!! chosen for a political survey and I'll get a trip to Bermuda for participating.  I'm in Ontario, Canada so they are not calling only in the US.

Besides DNC complaints, also make an FCC complaint.  Look through the details to see which choice describes your situation best, landline or cell, robocall, live representative, abandoned call, etc.

Make one for each call and/or number they used.  There is a field for the exact time, too, that is important for calls after 9pm.

Most likely they will be more persistent in the future since they now know it is a live number.   I've never answered and they only call me every couple of weeks and to all my different phone numbers, not just one.  If I ever answer, I expect to be called more often at that number.  My Google Voice number is the only one where I can block a number for good, they'll get an out of service message.  My cell I can only put them on silent ring and my home phone line will only block 10 numbers at once.  When you get a new phone get a new number, keep the old number and port it to Google Voice when your contract is up.  If you have Sprint you may be able to use your current number for GV without porting.

If you get a robocall:

Hang up the phone. Don't press 1 to speak to a live operator and don't press any other number to get your number off the list. IF YOU RESPOND BY PRESSING ANY NUMBER, IT WILL PROBABLY JUST LEAD TO MORE ROBOCALLS.

Consider contacting your phone provider and asking them to block the number, and whether they charge for that service. Remember that telemarketers change Caller ID information easily and often, so it might not be worth paying a fee to block a number that will change.

Robocall.  Persistently.  Block the number but they either use a new number or get around the block somehow.

using Bcc when emailing cuts down on spam. best to send all group emails to yourself in the To field, and put everyone else in Bcc and be insistent that others do the same or take you off their list!
putting up craigslist ads is the same: use caution when answering what appears to be real people interested in your ads. as quite often your full name appears in the "from" field.

back to the subject at hand:
After I blocked 971 208 9963 and 971 208 9960 (both from Oregon) , I soon got a call from Washington:
253 802 0308. within minutes of the blocked call trying to get through.

received 2 call from this number 11:50 & 11:51pm.Took my phone off the hook.Put it back on,got 2 more calls, 1 at 12:05 & 12:06am.Took my phone off the hook for the remainder of the nite/morn.

I got the call yesterday in BC Canada. The first call was from 971 208 9960 (Oregon reads on my CID) but after blocking that one (my phone has that built in feature). the next call was this number that everyone is talking about. 971 208 9963 so I blocked that one too. the next call not long after was from Washington - may be related.

unfortunately when you block a number the phone still rings once and as everyone here knows..not always at the best hrs of the morning or night. (I have started unplugging my phone when I am sleeping)

I am receiving calls from this number several times a day. Please stop!
