I get several calls a day from this # on my home phone but never leave a message or can not call it back

Jeff is right!  Some of these calls just can't be stopped!  They're trying to sell something (in this case solar crap for your home) and back when I was still stupid enough to actually pick up the phone, one person told me that PG&E had given my name and number out.  I called PG&E myself and sure enough...the rep said that they do share customer names and numbers with some of these jerks to help drum up business.  I can't believe they'd do that!  I'm just glad that I finally bought a phone that lets me block long distance calls.  And these jerks are ALL getting blocked.  This is just getting too ridiculous!  

didn't answer. No message. Don't bother reporting them. The FCC has such a backlog of complaints that there is absolutely no hope that they'll ever follow up on them. The DNC is a gold mine for telespammers since it is a list of nothing but working numbers. Takes all the guesswork out of it for them.

You have to understand you are dealing with a computer who just calls numbers until someone answers and then the computer transfers the call to a human sales person assuming there is one available. Calling them back does nothing other than let them know there is a live body at the other end of the phone. That enables them to verify it is a good number and they can add it to a list to sell to other telemarketers.

Many phones have the ability to block numbers. I use Panasonic cordless phones and they can block calls I add to the block call list. It still rings once while the phone is figuring out if the call is on the blocked list but then hangs up. If they persist in calling I go to my phone companies website and block the call there. That way it never rings. Many phone companies allow you to block calls by going to their website.

Reporting them does little good in my humble opinion. The fact that they call you when you are on the list should tell you that they don't care about the list and don't care about the law.

These people called my number prior to getting a phone with caller ID.  I JUST CALL THEM TWO OR THREE TIMES AFTER and say isn't it annoying when someone calls you over and over again.   I'm on the do not call list I LEFT A MESSAGE I will report you next time you dial my number, I'll make the time.  

Noooooooooooo. Never call any of them back.  Especially if you have registered for the federal 'do not call' list.  If you return a call then they are free to call you whenever they want any time of day because technically and legally they are returning YOUR call and federal rules do not apply.  Hanging up when you answer or leaving multiple calls with no message is a way of fishing for you to call back.

Why not return their call with you answer to them.

Let's everyone who gets this call do the same thing to them with your return call to them.

That way they will get a dose of their own medicine with thousands of calls everyday from everyone.

Trying to sell Solar Panels.  Extremely rude -- they hung up on me.  I told them I wasn't interested, yet they keep calling back.
