The usual scam is you have to attend a presentation where they'll try to hard-sell you timeshares, vacations, club memberships, etc. The prize may or may not be worth your time because (I've read) there are all kinds of gotchas attached to it like it may be a $99-off coupon for a cruise instead of the cruise itself and you have to buy the cruise to get the $99 off. Those prizes that they do give out have to be paid for and that's by unwary consumers who fall for it.

I believe this is a scam call. It is a computerized voice saying I am guaranteed the winner of 1 of the top 3 prizes if I call back -- the top prize being a new SUV, in a contest I entered 3-18 months ago. Hogwash.

Have received this call before from another number. Told my entry form was selected for a grand prize SUV and that I was guaranteed teh winner of 1 of the top 4 prizes. Then gave another number to call back. The message was prerecorded.
