Caller ID shows as "PROTEL".  I finally blocked this number but they keep trying.  Anyone know who these people are?

This is annoying. We should not have to waste our time in making arrangements for them not to call us. Don't know what company they are with but it could be a scam call.

I am sick and tired of these a-holes calling me ten times a day and at night. At first I thought the same as Larry, lol.

I've now researched them and have read of them calling an average of 5-7 times per day. I WISH I was that lucky!!!!!  They've been calling me about 20 times per day, at 1/2 hour to 1 hour intervals, over the past 3 weeks!  Even my kids have become extremely annoyed with the constant ringing of the phone!  I filed a report with the National Do Not Call Directory.  Hopefully they will get enough complaints to do something about it...but so far the calls keep coming.  Other than that, is there a point when they finally give up and stop calling?  Has anyone had any success in stopping the phone calls?

This number calls every day sometimes 4-5 times a day!  Can't stand it!!!  All it says is Illinois in the caller ID and the number.

We are registered with the DO NOT CALL list,on home and cell phones.  We received this call on our home phone.

They call my house 3 to 4 times a day. I am registered on the do not call list.  They even call at 9 pm at night.  I have even told them NO and they still call. What a crappy organization.

HEY MORON - I've asked them COUNTLESS times to stop calling, and I continue to get unwanted calls DAILY.  Any more tips you want to share??

They called our business office. It was am an AUTOMATED voice message that stated: THIS IS A COURTESY CALL, WE WILL CB LATER." and then hung up. No idea who it was for or why they were calling??? Just checking for live voices or that the number worked???

They called twice, I picked up the second because the caller ID said a local number, Tampa (813-345-5076), but on the line was a white male recording of "Hello, this is a courtesy call, we'll try back later.  708-418-7486".  Crap is annoying.  Don't know what else to do as we're on the "DNCall" list too.

not only do they call multiple times daily, but they do not leave messages on voicemail.

I get calls from Protel at least 3 times per week. All of the calls were when I was not home. When I tried to call back, no answer. Please somone contact US attorny General or BBB to do some investigative measers. I think there is some sort of rip off scheme going on using this phone.

My caller Id picks some callers #S. The above telephone number is one of them. When I tried to call back, it did not go through. This Protel co. is phony all of you becareful.

I keep receiving calls from 708 418-7486 and most times there is no one on the line. I just find that the calls are quite irritating. I just wish that there was some way of stopping this legal form of harrassment.

F*** you.  Try getting a job that does not involve harassing people with their own phone that they paid for.  Jerk.

I get calls from them every day at work. Since I am the main person who answers the phone, I have to pick it up even when I see the caller id because my co-workers won't understand why I'm ignoring the caller. When I pick it up, nobody ever speaks, and I just hear a mechanical sound in the background. It sounds like the whirring of a rotary phone or something. At least most telemarketing calls give you a (probably fake) option at the end of their messages to let you opt out, but on this one I can't and it is so frustrating. They call on a back line that often gets telemarketing and scam calls that used to belong to someone with bad credit.

Call several times, ask to speak with the owner.  Obviously, telemarketer.

well i am a former employee of this place and from what i am reading there is no knowledge of what we do. we have specific compainies that have contracts with us to push different programs. Now when we call our whole point is to notify current customers of what they can get just by being a customer...
