got a call from this number said i won a cruse i said ok send me the tickets 1 week later two tickets arrived went on the cruse and had a great time. and if you believe me i have two extra tickets for you just send me $59.95 prepossessing and handling fee and you two can go on a great cruse. LOL

I pressed 1 out of curiosity, too! When the telemarketer gave me details on the cruise offer, I was like, "Huh, maybe this is legitimate." But I asked him if this was a scam (of course he would say no, but I wanted to hear his reaction), and he explained it wasn't...which almost had me fooled because he went into extreme details about how Royal Carribean just does this so they can get more patrons on the boat gambling and spending money there and about the paperwork and, etc. And I was on a travel website earlier because I was thinking about going to Peru, and I did remember signing up for something. But I said I'd have to do some research first. I asked him to send me something- even a piece of paper with the offer on it, so I could know it was for real- but he claimed that by the time he would send me anything the promotion would be over. He called back a few days later, which totally would've been enough time to mail me any information on this, so I just hung up. So, now that Nicole (in this forum) said that she got scammed, I'm thinking about just being like, "I know this is scam, ya turd."  Glad I read these posts!

They did the same thing to me but i was looking for a cruise and had entered in some things so i thought it was ok. They told me i had to pay government taxes TODAY which was $196 so i did. got the paper work and sent it back to them. they also said i had to pay port charges at the time that we went. which they quoted me 90-120 pp for that. so i paid them. now they are telling me i didnt win anything and that i have to pay about another $200 pp to go. and now when i try to get ahold of them they send me to an answering machine and wont call or email me back! I am getting very aggrevated and they never even set my date yet for me. So I am really thinking this is a scam and i lost out on $196... which this was suppose to be for my honeymoon : ( !! I just feel like crying!!!

Called saying that I won a cruise. Pressed "1" insisted that I would only have to pay port taxes  but had to pay them today. Asked how he is making money off of this said it was a "promotional deal" and that he wanted to "introduce me to the services they provide" hoping that I would join their "travel club." Told him I had to do some research and would call back. Looks like a scam.

Called me also saying that I had won a Carnival Cruise and to press 1 to continue or press 2 to cancel. I was confused as I had not entered any contest to win any such thing, curious as to what was going on I pressed one and it connected me to a live person. He started off saying, "Congratulations how would you like to go on a cruise in the next year!" I then said I'm confused, the telemarketer, "Why are you confused?!" I said that I have not entered any contest to win a cruise, he then hung up before I got the last word out.

I just got a call from this number through SKYPE, but I missed the call.

Recorded message said I had won a cruise and to press 1. I pressed 1 and spoke with the rep. He told me they were the promotions dep't for Carnival, Royal Carib and Princess.  When I asked, he said their company name is Book It Travel and their website is bookitravel.com.  Said we could take 2 cruises, and we only had to pay port taxes. He kept pressing the issue that we only had to pay taxes, but we had to pay TODAY. When I asked how he got my number, he hung up.

Recorded message informed that I won a Carnival Cruise Trip. I hung up immediately. I've never entered any sweepstakes for such a thing. So, I assume it was the beginning of a scam of some sort.
