Continue to get calls every day or twice a day with no message being left. I did pickup once but there was no one there. They probably use automated calling until someone picks up. It seems however they are not monitoring when someone picks up. What a nusiance!

I've got two choices - have phone removed (go to cell phone only)  or have the ringer removed and have something go  "Ka - Ching"  when someone calls as 95% of calls are soliciters.    Why pay $70 per month for their access?
So far, no nuicance calls on cell phone.

I get calls at our home also and they are trying to give me a stroy about a kid at school not being abe to pay his bills?

I too get calls from this number, 708-546-4145 often. I have do not call.gov  but reading the e-mails about how political and charitable organizations  are not effected by do not call.gov. Just what phone numbers do they cover. DUH!

caritable org do not have to go by the do not call rules.

IL requires all charities to be registered with the State. The Vietnam Veterans Assoc is not !

these people don't stop and they are so like clockwork, but i pick up and hang up!

caller id listed Summit Argo IL. answered, said hello twice then a man came on and said, "uhh". i said hello again, nothing. hung up.

Caller does not answer and hear nothing. Shows it is a local area call however, that area code is not in my local calling area.

I wish my phone did not receive calls. only make calls

Same thing...they call me every day. When I answer, no one is there. If I don't, they don't leave a message.

They have called my house 20 times in past 3 weeks, never leaving a message and never answering if we pick up.

Sorry its 2011 and the nam vets dont have there suff together what the heck!!! I am a  vet and I done with people looking for hand outs!!!! I served and moved on god bless the USA but the call once a day come on!!!

I get the same calls.  What a pest.   This organization (if it is an organization) gives Vietnam Verteran Associations a bad name.

He's right--the Do Not Call list exempts political calls and charitable organizations.

by the way, i checked the phone number and it said it was from Justice, IL NOT Springfield, IL. They are about 4 hours away.

answered today, people from veteran association asking for money. I told them I donate through clothing and shoes and he asked, how about $20 twice a year. I asked where they are located, he answered Springfield, IL. I asked if they have any locations I can visit, he said, well we only do this over the phone. I said, have a good day, he hung up.

I get these calls too.  I've answered and told them "no" but they keep calling.  Have fun with them!  Blow a whistle into the phone.....speak pig latin.....tell them you are Vietnamese......tell them to hold on and don't come back on the line until they hang up!  lol

This number (708-546-4145) calls my house twice a day but does not leave a message. Today it woke me up after my church services. I told him I was a veteran of Viet Nam and on the national no call list. He said he wanted to count on me and I told him I would report him for soliciting for money on my phone because of my no call status. He said he was an organization and could do any thing they want.

Called back, got recording stating it was Illinois Viet Nam Veterans Association.  Annoucned drive for funds.  What else is new.

Number they called is new Google Voice number, so they must call random numbers.

Whoever this phone number belongs to calls my home at least twice a day. When I let it go to voice mail, all you hear is static like they are in a car on a cell phone. I would like for these calls to stop.

Get a call every evening.  Called the number this morning and a recording says it is the Illinois Vietnam Veterans and they are in there funding raising mode, which is 12 months out of the year.

if you go to 411.com and punch in this number, it shows up as a company out of Summit, IL named Teleport Communications ???
