they called me 3 times, so when I call back no one answers, I do not know what kind of # it is Googled it and it says Broadwing Communications LLC - CA.

Hi, I have been getting calls non-stop from these people. Ive tried to push "2" to be taken off the list but it doesn't seem to be working. Today at 2:06pm, I recieved my daily called so I pushed "1". I guy answered. I explained to him that I need the phone calls to stop because this is a work phone. The guy says, (quote) "You need to push "2" pal!" I said, "Ive tried that but its not working?" He says to a coworker in the room with him, "Hey Johnathon, I've got a F**KING idiot on the phone." Then laughs and hangs up on me. I did some research. I traced the number back to Broadwing Communications Llc-ll. Location: Highway South, Austin, TX 78746-6426. Phone number: 512-742-3700..Fax: 512-742-4101. I just called them. They put me in contact with a technician who said, "We don't make the calls but we work with several companies that make these telemarketing calls. I can't give you any information about these companies unless you send us a legal documentation request from law inforcement." In other words, I got nowhere. I'm pissed and don't know what else to do. Anybody that reads this: Please call 512-742-4101 daily and harrass them as they have harrassed us. Thanks.

Thanks for the info!  I received a call from therse folks about 20 minutes ago.  I was about to answer because the area code was local and it could have been an emergency.  Glad I went with my first mind and DIDN'T pick up!

708 554 1121 called after 7pm on 1-26-2011, no name associated with the number, did not leave message. Land line from Willow Springs IL.

I just got off the phone with Level3. They confirmed that Broadwing Communications is a customer of a customer of theirs. They told me how to make the calls stop: contact the Level3 Fraud department and file a complaint: 800-348-5457. They said they can make the calls stop on a case-by-case basis, so unfortunately, if you want the calls to stop, each individual has to contact Level3. Stupid I know, but at least it will get these idiots off your back!

I am getting a voice broadcaster call to my phone number talking about taking care of my back taxes, I get called at times once a day from these numbers.  The caller id says 708.554.1121.  But it's not valid....  So I played along with this call with $80,000 dollars of back taxes.  The caller id changes each day, today it just happens to be this caller id number.

When I pressed 1 the call when to a setter and then I was forwarded to Geneie with Tax Solutions a company in Orange County of California.  That's what the number is assigned at.  This company does exist and I have her direct phone number.  Another company is voice broadcasting this number and I'm going to find it.

Updated information, I did not hear from Genie's supervisor (big suprise) by end of day yesterday, but now that I call that number I was given as her direct number which was 714.849.7506, that number is no longer Genie's number, I've called 5 times now and it goes to an Aaron at Acceptance Capital Mortgage Corporation.  So this is crap!  I'm trying to track down who is doing this but everyone is a big fat liar.

I do not understand.  I am on the National Do Not Call List, yet I keep getting calls from this number.  How can I make it stop?

they kept calling and calling, i just hit 1 and the person told me i had to pay 5 dollars to get off the call list.  they were laughing in the back round.  i have verizon wireless and they blocked the number for me.

I'm getting about two- three calls a day. It is commercial company who provides something with Taxes. When they calling they have an option "press 2 if you don't want to get call again", but is is doesn't works.
I tried call them tree time, but it is doesn't work also. I is very annoying.

After doing some research this is what I found out - Broadwing and other phone companies are not allowed by Federal Law to give out info on their customers without a subpoena for records - just as your personal phone company isn't allowed to give out info on your personal phone number.  You can send a complaint by e-mail to abuse@level3.com and they will place a complaint with the company that is carrying this number.  You can also place a complaint with your local police department and they can place a subpoena for records and get this number shut down.

This appears to be some kind of federal debt relief company that refuses to take me off their call list.  I recieve calls almost daily and when I ask to be removed they hang up on me.

The 2 doesn't work, just keep reporting them on the governments do not call list.

If you want to really piss them off act like your sending a Fax to that number. That will ring until a Fax can go out which will be never. Pay backs can be hell. I am sick of their calls also.

The crook behind that, and so many other of these harrassing scams, if a criminal named Mike Mardaresco.  I suspected it, so I just called the number you gave for patriotmortgagesolutions.org, 888-880-4078, and asked for Mike Mardaresco. The woman said he was in a meeting and took my message.  She confirmed that it's his scam.

Just got a call from this number at 7:21pm. No message left.

REPORT TO FTC, DO NOT CALL REGISTRY & ATTY GEN OFFICE in addition........

We need to report these to the FTC by phone or mail. Also the National Do NOt Call registry & the attorney generals office.  FTC says by LAW they are to give us the company name, address etc...but they always hang up on you when asking.  PEOPLE...PLEASE START REPORTING THESE...thye drive me crazy too!!  I have had some real nasty people on line as well.....

I reported 243 calls similar to this  in 2010 over 6 mos...this is insane!!  Maybe if we give up land lines the phone companies may look into it....IF the FTC or DNC Registry can't do anything then close them down!  Save taxpayers some $$ on these so called Government offices that do a job....NOT!!!!

I've asked them several times to stop calling - but they refuse to make the calls stop. I spoke to a person named Derek Randall ext. 502 who said they would remove me off their calling list because I pretended to be interested in their offer. Please call these people often and harass them like they are harassing others.

I am BEYOND tired of these calls. We are NOT behind on our mortgage! We are VERY happy with our current interest rate. pushing "2" does nothing to stop the calls......UGH!

Keep getting calls from this number, bout 2 times a day, finally i answered and pressed 1 to talk to them, some guy answer's and i ask him to not call me back and he says " NO, we don't have to stop calling you and we wont stop calling you".
Well I contacted a lawyer and i'm going to stop them from calling me or at least get me some money.

As you probably know, if you call this number back -=- it is "NO LONGER A WORKING NUMBER".  The male caller to our house, talked very nasty when once again asked not to call. We are on no call!!
What will it take to actually get the telephone companies to do something about this problem.

I just contacted the number you provided. It goes to Level 3 Communications, who purchased Broadwing Communications. I had to leave a message for Mary Goddard to get more info on the company. I was told that this number is probably a 'customer of a customer of Level 3'. Please continue to call 512-742-3700 and ask for Mary Goddard. With enough complaints, they can shut down the customer and refuse to provide service to them like what happened to Wikileaks. Everyone call - every day! We can get these idiots to stop this calling. I've reported them every day to the Do Not Call Registry and that's not working.
