Numbers are no longer new.  They have all been used and are just recycled around.

calls 3 or 4 times a day, sometimes only rings once, can not find out who it is.

Cruise line promo... probably a time share sales pitch in reality.  Did not answer when I did not recognize the number

I called twice in hopes to make the list of "to end this call press 2" but instead it was "disconnected" interestingly enough my number is BRAND New because I got a replacement phone and it came with  a new number. What's with these numbers?

Got a phone call (7:49pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.  
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

Got this call on my cell phone, even though I have been on the DNC registry since 2004.  Tried to call them back, but "this call cannot be completed as dialed" - they may be faking the calling number.  Filed a complaint at donotcall.gov

What I do with this kind of call is add the number to my cell's directory, under name= SPAM and ringtone= none.  Then they can call all they want, it won't ring.

Same number called me - no message was left and the caller location indicated it was from Illinois.

LMAO! I too just got a call on both cell & hm ph simultaneously! Yeah, I agree! The US Gov't's SUPPOSE TO BE MONITORING ALL CALLS?? You all watch too much "Person Of Interest"! Yes, they can screen SOME CALLS, but NOT ALL! Or we wouldn't have these a***oles calling us, not leaving msgs & we making complaints up the whazoo! Just block the a***s. Yes they offer you a free trip to bahamas or mexico after you pay the taxes right now no discussion he wll hold on but once you hang up the offer is over. This came after i received a call from 206-200-0946 toanswer a survey which i did with all lies then the next da i got a call with the offer. I called the number late last night and a guy answered with operater static telling me the mobile cust call could not go through but i could hear the guy say hello a few times.

It is a CRUISE telemarketer in IL.  "

Just rec'd call to my cell which is on do not call. Did not answer. They left no message. So tired of all these calls.

I have been called by this number too and i did not answer and they did not leave a message.

All I can say is what I've said before in other places, and that is, if a caller does not leave a message, I attempt to do research to see if I can find out who owns the number. If I need to pay a fee to MAYBE find out who owns the number, I block ffer a the number on both my home and mobile phones. My home and mobile phones both have directories of all numbers necessary for me to know, tagged with NAMES. If I see no FAMILIAR NAME in the caller ID pr message display, I do not answer. I will offer a poem to these callers:
