I got a call from 708-613-2042 on my cell phone and I am on the do not call list. How do I get them to stop?

I pretend to be interested and waste their time. They really hate that but it's cheap entertainment for me.  

If don't like it then they shouldn't call.

report these numbers to the FCC. Especially if you have verbally told them to not call you again.

Called about 845pm MST. Didn't bother to leave a message. We too are on the DNC list for our home phone and cells, but still get calls like this. Had some online pharmacy kept calling and we NEVER used one. Got a hold of the 'owner' and told him to remove our number. Didn't do a bit of good, but put his email address on the message board like this one so EVERYONE could bug him. Finally had to change cell numbers to get rid of them. This sounds more like a telemarketer/scam type call.

call back number 877-551-3686.  Very nice experience, and yes I did enter a free cruise raffle (didn't win). Oliver said a deal like this only comes around every 18 months, so act NOW!  Carnival Inspiration out of Long Beach to Catalina and Mexico ports.  Decision decisions...

What about picking up/hanging up w/o answering?  That is my only other option other than letting it go to the machine.  At least it might be 'confused' as to whether the number is in service that way.  There is NO DEFENSE against these CRIMINALS.

I got to the phone and picked up/hung up without answering; so they COULDN'T leave a message.  I am being HARASSED by the number 585-775-9642 (a little ROCHESTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY FRAT BRAT CO-OP **SNOT**)  and wasn't sure if this was connected.  Glad I cut them off before they could tell if they had a valid number.

BESIDES the fact that this is a SCAM, we're NOT INTERESTED in taking ANY CRUISES!

I, too, am on the Federal do not call list and yet I still get these calls. Annoying.

Received a phone call, no message.  I tried to call back and it didn't even ring. I think it must be a telephone solicitor.

Wow - my lucky day!  I got a letter in the mail today that says I won $1398 in free airfare and a Marriott hotel stay from US Airlines, and a call from these numbskulls about a free cruise.  Yay.

Giving your number to a cashier in the course of a transaction does not mean you are taken off the do not call list.  You are always subject to calls from people you do business with.  The list doesn't affect that.  However, if you sell that phone number to another caller or scam list, you have then broken the law, and so will they, if they call the number.

This is a robotic caller looking to verify if it has a good number.  Once you answer it, or it goes to voice-mail, you're screwed!

First - being on the do not call list does not prevent you from being called.  As a former cashier, we used to ask people for their phone number - and when they voluntary gave it to me, I made $1 for every number which was sold.  Once you voluntarily give your number out, you just took yourself off the list.

This call was from some Amway distributor trying to get me to become part of their pyramid scheme

This RUDE girl called me offering carnival cruises for 197 per person. When I told her we owned a timeshare, she told me "Good Luck waiting through a 10 hour presentation" and hung up on me. God help them if they call me again....

P.s. When you OWN the timeshare, you DON'T go to meetings... idiot.

They left a robo call message about a free cruise. Just one of the many numbers these crooks call with.

Another website says it is a robo call for free cruises....I received a call today.

just received a call from this no as well. I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a voice message.

Just received a call from 708-613-2042, it said it was a land line, I tried calling back, and nothing... Thank goodness for US Cellular's "Mr. Number" app. I will put in my phone and if they try and call again, they will get from me NOTHING.
