I received several phone calls like the last person to comment.  My cell phone is also on the do not call list.

I got the exact same offer via phone. Lynn Johnson at number 866-761-6153 called to tell me I won one of 4 prizes (exact same as listed above), but in order to get the prize I had to go to the Galleria in Atlanta either at 6:30 or 8pm either the next day or the day after that and listen to a 90 minute presentation. She said they just want to get people to refer them to their friends and it was an advertizing promotion for Star Vacations. She said she couldn't send me any web sites or further information without confirming a seat at the "event" for me. After reading the comments on the internet like this I declined. Too good to be true? Probably...

We got the same call from a Melissa - she called our home phone (which is on the Do Not Call list) and was given the same list of prizes and told we had to go to Northbrook, IL.  My husband REPEATEDLY asked what the catch was "Oh there's no catch"  That right there was my first reaction of "BS".  We decided to try and google the company and this is what we found.  What I'd like to know is how these people are getting #'s that are on DO Not Call Lists.

I just posted this on another site:

My boyfriend got the call last week saying that one of us had entered in a drawing and won (neither one of us recalled do such a thing since we do not ever want to be solicited).  We were told if we listened to the 90 minute presentation we would get a scratch off card for either a Navigator, $2,500, a 32"tv, or a trip.  We did actually get a scratch off card and get a 3 day, 2 night trip to Mexico (we had to mail in a voucher and wait for the official forms to be returned in the mail so we will see if this happens; I just mailed them yesterday).  The voucher did say that when we book it we will have some fees to pay so we will see what those end up costing before we decide to book. They kept claiming it wasn't a timeshare, but rather luxury condo rentals.  When we were there we won an impromptu contest and won a week's vacation in Mexico (again had to mail in forms and will have fees to pay).  As of right now I am happy to get 2 free trips, even if we end up paying a nominal fee for each (we will see).  I feel like it was worth it to sit through the presentation so far, but will have to post back as soon as I actually get the forms for the trips in the mail and try to book them (and find out how high the fees are).

If these companies were illegal someone would be in jail. Not listed with the bbb.All enties our company had came with where the enty was filled out and ip stamp. The great thing about the internet you can say anything you want about anyone, but that also means you can lie. Please google yourself ,your job,you boss, your utility company, where you shop ect. Like it or not all of us are in someones data base with information with information or accusations that may not true. Furthermore Some people will believe anything thats written or said about others.

We received this phone call as well.  My wife and I did go the 90 min. presentation.  In short after trying to sell us $14,900 in membership to their vacation club, shoving us in a room with 30 other couples accompanied by loud music to mask other "agents" conversations with everyone else, dropping the price to $11,900, then $6900 and finally $2900 to be paid over 4 yrs. I almost bought in.  It wasn't until I wouldn't let them leave my site with my credit card, refused to write a social security number on a credit form, the somehow showed up for a "vacation" club, that the man going by the name 'Daniel Gold or Golden (can't remember)started to get a really agitated that I wouldn't apply for credit for a club that he was doing everything in his power to get me to join.  They then at my request ripped up all the forms we had begun to fill out, however I ended up taking all of the torn up forms home with me, to protect myself from further danger of identity fraud (hopefully not too late).  I breathed a sigh of relief at home when I pieced the forms back together and realized they were trying to get me to sign a sort of finance form that I would incur 19.8% APR on the price that they sold me the vacation club membership for.  I also read in the fine print that many destinations I would have picked to travel were destinations members were asked not to try and book vacations to.  How do you live with yourselves??  How do you look you own children in the face everyday when you go home?  I feel terrible for the poor lady that was a bus driver with 4 kids who took the bait early enough in the session that she probably paid $11,900 and financed it with 19.8%

We didn't get a postcard, but believe this to be a scam connected with the 866-930-3999 number also listed on this Who Calls Me site.  Instead, they  just called us directly on our cell phone (unlisted AND on the do not call list)

I got to this site by googling the company's name.  Here's a copy of the email they sent us.  BTW, they spelled our names wrong.  (really wrong)  Oh, and we need 2 forms of ID and a major credit card to get in the door.  Hmm...

I just retrieved a message, from my voice mail, from the same W. Howe (Caller ID: (708)-897-0623) stating that I had filled out a prize entry and, "Congratulations, You've just won a Cadillac Escalade or a vacation in Hawaii or a 7-day Bahamaian cruise, all I had to do was call the verification center at 866-543-4901 and claim the prize and that he had sent an email informing me of my recent luck but I had not answered.  He closed the message by saying "Congratulation" one last time.

Question:  Why didn't he state my name?
Question:  Why didn't he know what I won?
Note:      I never received an email.

"Prize Claim Center" guy left a message on my machine and left the 708-897-0623 number and an 866-543-4901 number. I did not return the phone. It immediately reeked of scam or "bait and switch" and I googled the numbers and here we are. The crack in their lie is that they do not address you by name. If you filled out a prize slip, it has your name on it and they will address you as Mr. or Mrs. So and So, this is an autodialing scam based on the theory of probability: call enough numbers some idiot will take the bait.

I got a call from the same number. He left a message saying that he was from the Prize Claim Center and that I had won a Lincoln Navigator, a cash prize, or a Vacation getaway. He said that he had tried to email me and that he would try again. I have never received an email from them. I will not call back, it sounds like a scam.
