They just called my cellphone and offered me the chance to press 1. Idiots.

I got this number today. For all calls though, once I say hello, if you don't reply within one second, I hang up. I figure if you wanted to call me, you'd be on the line. One second is long enough for a human to recognize when the call is answered. No return hello within 1 second, I hang up. I answered this call, said "Hello?" as any normal human would and counted to one. No response, I hung up. Screw them.

It's a scam for travel dollars that don't exist.  Avoid these calls or report them to authorities.

call came through...no voice...no message...no return call.  I DO have family in NL and panicked for a few minutes thinking someone was calling from...say a hospital or something.  Distressing.  So much for cell privacy.

I received a call from this phone number as well, should have a strong control of privacy for our home phones and even stronger for our cell phones. in a cell phone we select the people that we are able almost any time to receive a call from them, not from any idiot!! some time ago i received reiterated callS from the freaky Fido, ans now this!? and tomorrow? and next month what? CELLPHONES ARE VERY CONFIDENTIAL DEVICES, AND WE PAY TOO MUCH FOR THAT SERVICE.

I actually picked up and pressed 1 , even though I knew it was a telemarketing, I was curious who were they. I waited for about 2 /minutes for my call to be transfered but eventually got bored and hung up. :)

Thank God for google. I got a call from this number too yesterday at 5:57pm...must be calling a bunch of Toronto numbers!

I also got the same thing..... except i picked up...

there was a recording saying "Your number was selected for a special prize" or something like that.... then it said "press 1 to accept this special promotional offer".

then it repeated the message... and since i didn't press anything, it hung up

I pressed 1, waited for a minute or two, and the person on the phone greeted me, saying she was with a marketing company and I won a free vacation.

I've heard this before so I disconnected.

I got a call from this number at 5:56 pm. Didn't answer, but almost interrupted my turkey dinner.

I got a call too. Funny, I am a doctor and applied for a position in Newfoundland Last month and got negative response afterwards. When I noticed a missed call from NL this afternoon, I told myself HOLY S***! THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND but couldn't reach me! Now I see they were not looking for me....

I'm in BC and got a call from this # tonight too, but missed it. What the hell, eh? They sure got around the country in a short amount of time...

I just received a call from this number. It said that I won a promotional gift & press 1 to continue. It was wired. I didn't press any buttons as requested instead I kept on holding. they repeated the same words again & for the second time too I remained silent. And then the call automatically got canceled.
