Got the same spiel about wanting to lower my credit card rates.  I said, why are you caring about lowering my rates?  Out of the goodness of your heart?  Who do you work for?  She told me she worked for President Obama, who was concerned about the mounting debt of consumers.  I told her he should worry about the mounting deficit and not MY finances, thank you very much, and hung up.  Incredible.

I press 1, and then did a continuous LAUGH, THEY hated it.  The women was so mad that she said she was to give my number to the spam department and I would get more calls.  They change numbers, I block numbers.  I do worry about the
elderly and gullible people that are vulnerable.
Someone or something has to stop them.
Do the Laugh if you have time, this women was besides herself,  As I was Laughing.  Maybe I will get a whistle next time.

They constantly change there names, and have different callers every time. I suggest everyone here call attorney generals office and start complaining.  Wether they are scammers or legit debt consolidators, they have no right to continually harass people I have been laughed at, hung up on, lied to, and cursed at.

I have to turn off my phone when busy, then check caller ID to see is anyone I want to hear from called.
If someone can put up phone contact info for attorney general, and we all call,  maybe something  finally gets done.   7 years of calls, I can't take it anymore.

3 calls this week, each time they use a different number. They are calling me for 7 years!  I ask them to stop, I owe no money on my credit card. I tell them I will not give my card number out. Still, they REFUSE to stop! It became once a week, now twice a day!!   I wish they would  die.

Called 5:33 pm EST to land line with AT&T.  Caller ID reads: BANKCARD SVCS.  I did not pick up and let it go to voice mail. This # harasses monthly.  Always leave the same stupid message "lower credit cards rates due to financial stimulus".

Just so sick of them. After reading some of the comments below I am tempted to pick up the next time and start saying some of the trigger words like "bomb president" to just get the line recorded by the big guys.

We should not be harassed like this by scammers and the companies that service the line should be penalized.

My phone can eliminate all calls except for a certain number (I think about 20 phone numbers) of phone numbers that I list.  However, my husband doesn't want me to do it.  Also, if a relative was at a hospital or in an emergency situation and was calling from a phone number that is not on my OK list, they would not be able to reach me....so I don't use that option.  My husband gets upset when he is required to ignore phone calls if he doesn't recognize the phone number and they don't leave a message.  He thinks it is bad for his purposes/business...but I think that anyone who doesn't want to identify themselves shouldn't expect me to pick up the phone.  My sister never answers the phone unless the person calling identifies themselves when the answering machine comes on.  The only time people usually call me is when I am in the shower or on the toilet...so I usually don't pick up the phone.  If it is important....leave a message and if I want to talk to you I will return the call.  If there is no message...you aren't important enough to bother with in the first place.  And I think we should change the law and make it illegal for charities and cancer organizations to call unlisted phone numbers or continue to call us when we ask them not too.  One organization that claimed it was seeking cancer donations called constantly and I'm not so sure that it was a legitimate organization instead of a scam.  But I believe that most cancer organizations are scams because they are founded and funded by corporations that both produce things that cause us to get cancer and that also invest in cancer treatment technology so they can make money off of us in more ways than one.  And I would rather die than have cancer treatment and I'm sick and tired about hearing or reading cancer advertisements ten times every day of my life.  We don't need "cancer awareness" because we have already heard about it so often that we puke.  And the treatment is not worthwhile in my opinion.  And they aren't spending the money on prevention (get rid of chemicals/companies that cause it) or research that they can't make a profit off of...all they do is harrass us about getting examined so we can have more invasive and life destroying treatments and possibly relapse and die anyway.  No thank you.  I should have the right to say "don't call me if you are a charity."  I never give donations over the phone.  And I prefer to give to Doctors Without Borders and can't afford to give money to everyone.

Got a phone call from "card services" and didn't answer it.  They hung up when they got an answering machine.  The message is "We are not available.  Please leave your name and number."  I blocked this number and will block any other numbers that come up that I don't recognize as someone that I know.  I  NEVER answer the phone until I know who is on the phone and that it is someone that I WANT to talk too.  I think I will buy a machine to block more numbers since I have to take off an old number to put on new numbers when call blocking it gets full.  When my blocked numbers get full I put all the rest of the unwanted calls on call forwarding to San Quentin Prison or some jail...where they belong.  OR I put call forwarding to a politician's office that I hate who insisted on sending robo-calls from himself to us...and he got our phone number by attending a class my husband taught and my husband was required to give students a phone number to contact him.  I repeatedly asked the politician's office to stop calling us and said that I won't vote for that damn extremist liberal Democrat but they still kept on with the robo-calls.  So now I forward my robo-calls to his office and forward his robo calls to me to the prison.  Maybe he can find out how I feel when I get unwanted calls from him!  Damn politicians are as bad as fake telemaketer scammers.

They won't ever learn.  Every time they call I give them as much false info as I can to keep them on the line as long as possible to save others from their calls.  The longer they speak with me is the less time they have to scam someone else.  There are plenty of web sites that provide valid credit card info (passes the Luhn validation test) but the number itself is worthless.  Get a sheet of these numbers and have fun.  Waste their time, make the call unprofitable.  Yesterday, they called and I must have given a pretty good performance, because the scammer called me back on another spoofed number and said I will be called even more often.  Oh joy!!! Game on!! I have lots of time and enjoy the game.  If any scammer actually bothers to read these messages, know that I will answer every call and waste your time as much as possible. Now the music from Queen "Another one bites the dust" is playing in my head.

Google Voice now blocks this number automatically when you have your own number ring concurrently with your Google Voice number. They recognise the number and answer it immediately. You will get a recording and text output of their message at your Google Voice site on their first call (before you block any further calls) to confirm their mischief. Got a call today from these jerks but never had a record of the missed call on my home phone. Once I mark it BLOCK, they give up calling pretty quickly. Here's the audio message in text as seen on Google Voice - notice some translation errors like "stenya less" for stimulus:

"This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payment. Press 1 now to find out the terms, conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial, stenya less. So press one now to take advantage of this today. This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payment. Press 1 now to find out the terms, conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial, stenya less. So press one now to take advantage of this today. Goodbye."

A very redundant message to ultimately make sure the elderly can hear it, believe it and press 1!!! They should be heavily fined and put out of business for good for their misleading sales. But, I'm sure there will be others.

Bank Card Services is just another of the scams received at my number. Many of them purport the same plan and wording using different numbers. I think I received them all at one time or another. I never respond in any fashion that would compromise the integrity of any personal information, EVER !
In their last phone call, I was reminded that this was my second call to respond to their offer to lower interest rates.
Last year, they said the same thing and at that time it was the SECOND and LAST time for me to save money on my credit cards. Well, it wasn't the last time, either....It is now 2014

I get these calls constantly during the day. Is there a way to block these calls from coming to my phone number? It is an automated call and the first time I answered to get my name and number off their list a voice came on the line to say "oh, would you like to lower your interest rate on your credit card" I asked which credit card they were inquiring about and they immediately hung up. We are on to you scummy scammers!! I am closing all of my credit cards - this isn't worth it.

got robocall from 206-397-1895 caller ID said "BANKCARD SVCS" on Tuesday 01-28-14 @ 1117 AM.

Got this call almost 1 hour after robocall from 706-805-1719 also on Tuesday @ 1002 AM.which is typical of these
dumb SCAMMERS.

recording was from the infamous Card Services..........and this was my 2nd and Final call as it relates to the Stimulus.
Press1...so I did. Recorder came on and said I was the twelfth caller in line. Then a guy by the name of Dexter came on and asked me if I had pressed one for the interest reduction. I said "yes". Then he started talking
and I started blowing the "SCAMMER HORN". Good old Dexter was gone in 10 seconds.

"Card Member Services".  Fake.  Scam.  Idiots.

Need we say more?

For those of you who haven't already figured, your *actual* credit card company will never call you to offer you a lower interest rate.  Be smart; learn that any offer that sounds too good to be true.. isn't true.
