Trying to find out who owns this phone number.

The call inbound to your cell phone is an overseas VoIP call. They could careless about any laws let alone your personal feelings.

The hook is to get you tick-off, interested in the offer, or just wishing to be off the list. So you call the fake caller ID number and now you are into phone arbitrage. An unwilling contributor to their profits you have just paid them with your phone call. They make money when you call the caller ID number in you cell phone.

They think this is legal - well its not - because the 712 is only call inbound. But, they have caused an illegal conversion.

When you get ticked remember do not call that number. Call the FCC.

Called my unlisted cellphone at 5:30pm, 3/22/07--did reverse phone # search, found call originated in Sloan, Iowa.  I then phoned 712-429-0245 and was "alledgedly" connected to their "do not call" list.  My next step will be to visit Sloan Iowa and track this SOB down personally.

I just got a call from them at 9:33 this morning. I am also on the do not call list. They didn't leave a message, so I called back the number and got a computer that said it was Gifts Inc. I reported the number on the do not call registery site.

712-429-0245 my caller id don't show a name just number, I live in Arkansas and also on the do not call register. I wish people would just leave us alone.

Called Saturday 3 March at 2:20pm, so I let it ring.  No message, and we're on the do not call register as well.

I got a call from this number at 11:30 this morning. The caller ID came up as Uknown Name and they didn't leave a msg on the machine.

This caller keeps calling me and Im getting pissed off!

I got a call 3/2/07 at 2:51 PM.  Caller ID said Iowa.  I did not pick up and no message was left.

they're still at it.  call came in at 12:00 noon, march 2, 2007.  i NEVER say "HELLO" when i see a number i know is not someone in know.  this trips the computer and you are sent to a human -- who always says, hello??  i always say, "i said hello."  oh well, is this . . . you know how it goes.  sometimes if someone is really bothering us, i forward my phone to walmart, pizza hut, or something.  or i just answer "PIZZA HUT, CARRY OUT OR DELIVERY??"  this usually does the trick.  sometimes, after you've tripped the computer, you'll get a "smarty pants" that will say, "hello, [insert your first name]?" -- or they flub and say "hello, [insert your husband's first name]?" to which i answer, "do i sound like a raymond, charles, (you get it) . . ."  if you can't beat them, at least get back at them and have a little fun.  ;)

Got the call from this number, (also on DNC registry) and reported it.

Message about Auto 1 Warranty - I'm on the do not call list.

Called at 7:40PM on Tuesday, Feb.27, 2007.  Caller ID indicated call was from Iowa, 712-429-0245.  I live in PA and am on the do not call register.

Called at 5:01PM.  No message.  Caller ID indicated all was from Iowa.

Called me at 10:33 AM. Let the machihne get it but no message left.

Rec'd a call at 6:48 pm 2/26/07.  I am on the do not call list.

I'm on the Do Not Call Registry.

I got at call from this number at 3:18pm.  Their recording says that they are "Auto One Warranty" and that you can press 9 to speak with an agent, but when I pressed 9, I was told that "your number is removed" and then they h/u.  I reported them to my state attny general for DNC list violations.  I tried calling their number back, and get a recording that says that they are "Gift Inc" (or possibly Gifts Inc, the recording is fuzzy), and there is a recorded spiel about how they know that telemarketing is annoying, but the spiel hangs up in the middle.  

US Search claims to be able to reveal the company name and address if I will pay 14.95 for the reverse lookup.  Has anyone tried this?  I'm halfway tempted, and if the calls keep up, I may go ahead and pay it and see if I can get the actual business address.

Wonder if carmax is related to the 712 number - but could be totally wrong.

Rec'd a call today from this number at 9:53am.  Name is UNKNOWN.  They did not leave a message.  I am on the National Do Not Call List.

I got a call from this number as well as several out of area calls which is odd for us. The stranger thing is I had the same amount of calls on my cell phone that came up as unavailable a couple of minutes after my home calls.
