Caller ID said "Celebration."  I didn't speak - no voice, live or recorded, spoke to me.  After a while, I hung up.
I have registered with the Do Not Call list, but these folks just seem not to care.

My elderly mother fell for their scam once...now calls are endless. They continue to send bills and even though she has been bedridden with a stroke for 2 years now they say she is ordering from them. Even if she did i told them she is not paying for anything that she got sucked into by a telemarker because her mind is gone and they need to make sure of the mental stability of the people they call before sending them anything....Telemarketing call + dementia + pissed off daughter....their not getting nothing! I had to have the phone number she has had for 50 years changed because of them.

Lifeline Industries won't stop calling me!!

I filed a online complaint with the BBB about the company,Lifeline Industries, they have several complaints already but are in good standing so far. The BBB told me thay would get back to me as soon as they could check it all out and talk to them.So I have failed a complaint with the FCC and the BBB so for no calls in two days.Dont know if that did the trick are me just not answering the phone.

i have the same problem that all of you have. i get a call from 712-429-0256. my phone service provider told me that any incoming calls with the number and info blocked from my caller id can easily be screened by using *77, a service that gives blocked calls a recording stating they must unblock their caller id information before the call will go through. as for the number that are not blocked, i don't know. i have almost thirty days before the do not call registration takes effect.

FYI: the caller i spoke with was a male with a middle-easter accent offering me 125 dollars in free gasoline. when i declined, he became agitated and told me, because i mentioned i could hardly understand him, that maybe i did not understand english very well. i told him to have a good evening and hung up.

I got a call from these jerks a few times, though this was the first time I answered it. A polite Indian man explained to me that I won a 125 dollar gas card and a 25 dollar dining card. He had my name and address, which concerned me.

He kept trying to get me to give him my credit card number, but I'm not an idiot. I could tell it was a scam when he told me that his name was, get this, John Green. You've got to be kidding me. His accent was so thick I could hardly understand him. There is no way his name was really John Green.

Needless to say, he didn't get my credit card number, and I think he said he would call me back. Good thing I know now that it's definitely a scam so the next time he calls, I know just what to say to him. What a crock.

Lifeline Industries sent me a package. I called them back on the return number on the package. They called my house claiming that I ordered a product from them. They produced a recording of someone talking to one of their telemarketers and claimed it was me ordering a flag for $100 dollars! The last time I checked, it was illegal to record someone's phone conversation without their consent. Especially in Massachusetts where I live. What right do they have to harass people and violate wire tapping laws?

I have gotten a call from this number over 10 times this week, Mornings afternoons and evenings. Sometimes 3 time in a day only once has someone answered back. I told them last week to take me off their list that I am on the no call list

Why won't the police do something about them?

The company is Lifeline Industries out of Mobile Alabama. Google it and learn about them. The callers sent me a package and I learned the company identity. They called on one occasion from 712-429-0254. I am told they have a computer that will call your house. When you answer the phone no one will be there. They pass that info on to a person for the best time to call you if you ansswer. They are ruthless telemarketers. Countless "Do Not Call List" offenses and nothing is done to them. They cloak their ID behind fake phone numbers, call at all hours of the night even when repeatedly told not to call and are rude to people. They are reportedly making lots of money at it too. They claim to be employers of disabled people but are a 'for profit' organization. What a way to make a buck, at our annoyance. Thanks for the 'Do not call' legislation, now let's enforce it.

That doesnt work for me. The recording says Please try adding the number agaun in a few minutes.

This number calls me about 5 times a day and when i answer noone is there. It's really annoying and i just signed up for the do not call list and they still called me today.

Hateful fuggers

Since I subscribed to phone service via Time Warner Cable in september, I've been receiving these phonecalls too!, especially from 712-429-0234. They call at all times of the day and never say anything!, or leave any message? I wonder if there's a job that pays people to call strangers and say nothing!LOL!  Area code 712 is definitely located in western/southwestern Iowa! I wonder if the cable/telecommunications companies, or the FCC knows about this?

I get these calls three to four times a day but no answer it disonnects. I called my provider and all they could tell me is what all you already know some company named adventa ( or something like that)  they were a little relucted on giveing me anything else and they said they could not block the number I could have my number changed that was it.I just filed a report online with the FCC about them and posted there number maybe the FCC can do something.

I just moved to Georgia and got a land line with knology.  I have gotten a call from these folks everyday.  They never talk just hang up and when I call back it says they are disconnected.  I put my number on the do not call list, but doubt that will help.  I have to find if I can get them blocked.

Okay, so here is what I have found out.

1.) The calls are coming in from overseas. Which means they are NOT being made in U.S.
2.) They are being used illegally.
3.) All phone numbers, starting with "712-429" that they have called from, HAVE been reported to the FBI.

So just to let everyone know, after a week or so, you shouldn't have to worry about someone calling you off and on. :)
One of the FBI agents had actually called me, and asked me what phone number's the have called me from, I gave them 712-429-0255 and 712-429-0252.
But of course he had a list with many many other phone number's on it as well.

Some more than once!  Sometimes it is silent, sometimes someone is on the other line - this time the guy asked me how I was - when I told him pretty bad because this was the fourth call from his call this morning, he said this was the first time his company had called me.  I then asked him if he was going to offer me a free gas card, because if he was going to do that it wouldn't be the first time he would have called.  I proceeded to scream at him and then use some choice words, told him I was signed up for DO NOT CALL and hung up.

I had to do this myself.  The # 712 429 0254 has been constantly calling my home # & when I try to return the call, it says the # has been disconnected.  So give the URL a shot to stop this annoying call!

There MUST be a way to block the idiots!  Every time I annswer there is nothing but silence, and then disconnect.

Due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider.

Several calls from 712 429 0256, 712 429 0266, 712 429 0345, 712 429 0234, and they were very uncomfortable calls.  Caller kept repeating my name over and over again as well as my address.  Called number that will take the phone numbers and list them as harassing calls.  Calls still come on several times a day on a daily basis.  Being the line is a dedicated line and only can make outgoing calls, no incoming calls are accepted. I believe there are marketing people who misuse these lines for personal annoyance calls.

Just got connected to AT&T about two weeks ago.  The calls started almost immediately.  Same experience as everyone else.  I answer, total silence, then a hangup.  I'm going to try call blocking and see if that works.  If they scam my phone number, AT&T and I are going to go round and round.

I have only had my comcast phone number for a week and i have already received more than 10 calls from celebration. last time they called they actually asked for 50 usd to stop calling me. i reported tem to comcast but they weren't very helpful. they suggested blocking the number and going to the police.

(they) perhaps are trying trying to "hijack" your phone; one scam-nareo if you answer perhaps you will be connected to a 3 way line where someone can connect and make long distance calls even after you hang up only to be charged to you; CHECK YOU PHONE BILL AND DISPUTE IF NEEDED!!!

They call me and I tell them they have the wrong number. They tell me its an emergency. I chewed the guy out and he was going to hang up so I tonted him to stay and explain this to me. Then he told me the script that he told all the rest of you about the shell gas crap.
