The company seems to be offering a work at home scheme.  Take a look at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-712-432-3944

In response to this idiotic message.  It is a scam.  This is the email I received below.  As you see in the 2nd paragraph it explicitly says there are "No" up front fees.  This email is very mis-leading and should not be taken into context.  It's companies like this is as to why nobody can trust anyone in this world!

I would like to thank you for requesting information regarding the available Marketing rep position with Global Domain Internationals. After receiving your response, I would like to invite you to a group interview with GDI, but first I would like to briefly tell you about our Customer Service Representative position and what the job entails.

Our representatives make an average of $400 to $600 a week depending on if they are full time or part time. They set their own hours and GDI pays weekly. Your job will be simply responding to emails from people who are interested in our web services or applicants who are interested in working for GDI. There is no cold calling or sales required, and there are no up front fees to start working with GDI.

If this sounds like a job you may be interested in I would like to schedule you for a phone interview on  December 8TH at 6PM or  EST,  (If you are not sure of your time zone, please let me know.) Please email me with "RSVP" the time you choose to interview in the subject line only. Once I receive your RSVP, you will receive information explaining how to call into the phone interview. So please check your email frequently and also check your spam folders. Interview information may come close to your time to interview. Once again if you are unsure of your time zone please email your phone number so I may do a search for you.

Thank You,
Jason Gonzales

I was contacted just today with this same pitch from someone named Gayle who said " Oh I thought it was a scam too but its not !" OK Anytime someone is trying to hire you for ANYTHING and they say "Oh, Its not a Scam" in the intro letter, ITS A SCAM.  or at least a pyramid looking set-up and we will all read in a few months how the FBI came in and raided the deal.
Thanks again for the replys on this site.

This really is a scam. My boyfriend is trying to find a work from home job and he came across their ad on Craigslist. No one ever personally responds to their e-mails, it's all automated and they never mention the name of their company in e-mails. Plus, no legitimate place of employment would EVER charge you money to work for them. It doesn't matter if it's just ten bucks. I hate these spam ads/phone numbers. It's so annoying. Get a life and get off your a** and make a real living that doesn't have to do with trying to dupe people out of their hard-earned money.

I did some research and the company doesn't seem to be a scam.  They do charge $10 per month for the service, and there is a 7-DAY Free Trial.  Also, the income that they claim you can make seems a bit over blown.  I had scheduled to attend their initial conference call twice, but they haven't managed to conduct one successfully.  Not a good first impression, and experience has taught me that if something starts out bad like this, it won't get any better.  So, GDI can count me out.

You would be paying a website that you can do anything with.

Why are you paying them per month for a service you are working for per week?

No Lizzy, I am not a top recruiter and have not even joined yet.  But I am a person who does alot research before I sign up for anything or go on sites and say something is a scam unless I have postive proof.  When I did my research I did find out that it is free to start.  After that free trial they only charge $10 a month and it is for an actual website.   I am glad that I did the research first.  From all of these posts it doesn't sound like anyone has.  I have been looking for online jobs as i would like to be a stay at home dad.  I have found alot of jobs, but they all want money up front and didn't have a product they were selling.  At least i can see that this one does...so I am open minded enough to give it a try.  On the call it says I can cancel after 7 days if I don't like so I have nothing to lose.  I will keep everyone posted after I join and let you all know if this works out of not.

Also, you are obviously one of their top scam artists because you are soooo defensive about this. If you were a regular person like us that got recruited you would not be flipping out this way. =)

I suggest you tell your recruiters to not LIE and tell the candidates there is NO FEE!!!! All scams start out the way your company recruits...

As you mentioned, they are offering a FREE trial.  A Free Trial means that you can cancel before the trial period is over.  How is that a scam?  I suggest you do a bit of research on the company before you throw out the word 'scam'.  If they are a SCAM as you as you say, then why are people getting paid and how would the company be backed by the Direct Selling Association.  I, for one, did do research and will be joining for my free trial.  If it was a scam, they would not offer a free trial.

The rep who contacted me said there was no fee but the guy on the conference call said there is a free trial period....which means after that we'll get charged. It's a scam.... Shady people

This is not a scam.  This is a legitimate opportunity for people who want to make additional income.  I called and nobody offered me a 'bunch of money'. I read your post and decided to call for myself and that is how I found out more information.  So thank you Meg for posting this.  Had I not done my own research, I may have taken your word that it was a scam.  I am so glad you were wrong!

This is a conference call setup to try and get you to work for their company. It's a scam that they offer you a bunch of money to answer emails.
